  1. Ipswich v Oxford Ipswich -24 @ 5/6, barring crashes and EF's this will be a comfortable victory for the Witches around the 59-31 mark Emil -2 over Magic @ 4/5 pretty sure Emil will have put his Monday night troubles behind him and will be hitting 13-15 points Tungate over 6 @ 11/10, Hit double figures in his visit here last season and at the only track in the country he has done more laps around than Oxford now, if Rohan cant get 7 points then he's in for a very long season. Leicester v Belle Vue Leicester -4 @ 6/5, A very solid Leicester side against the power house top 2 and at the moment I dont see the Aces second strings and reserves living with the likes of Becker, Howarth Douglas and Kemp away from the NSS, I see this as a 10 point home win Kurtz over 12 @ 11/10, based purely on the hope he has 6 rides Sheffield v Kings Lynn A tough one to call given the gaters paradise that Owlerton was last week. If Sheffield gate as well as last week and the Stars are as poor out the gate as Birmingham then yes it will be a comfortable home win. Although if the likes of Lawson has his gating gloves on and the track is similar to last week then he can easily be picking up double figures. Only bet Im comfortable with is Pickering -2 over Iversen @ 21-20, As last week, Josh partnered now 3 times with a home reserve and the possibility of 6 rides should see him hit 11-12 points minimum and I dont see Niels hitting double figures;
  2. Belle Vue v Kings Lynn Kvech over 5 @10/11, picked up paid 4 on his only visit to the NSS last year, this year will be better prepared and dont see how he cant get 6 points, Should have the beating of all the Aces second strings and reserves Klindt -1 over Cook @ 10/11 Just a pure punt that Nicolai may be able to transfer his weekend form into beating Zach around Belle Vue, whilst Zach still works out the quickest lines to take Birmingham v Ipswich Willing to take a punt on Birmingham at +10, Still not convinced by King and Ellis away from Foxhall, plus Ellis managed to miss all 3 visits to Perry Bar last season, so may be a bit rusty around the track, Birmingham should have enough to get 41 points MJJ +1 over Ellis @4/6, for the reasons mentioned above, Ellis lack of recent track time at Perry Bar and MJJ may get 5 rides Brennan over 9 @6/5 back at his former track, should pick up a couple of heat wins at least and should be finishing ahead of Ellis in most of rides.
  3. At home...Jack Holder v Wolves in 2021, paid max, he had previously ridden away for the Tigers that season, scoring 19 out of 21 on his full debut In 2018, Kyle Howarth, Charles Wright and Lasse Bjerre all scored paid max's on home debuts
  4. Probably the most boring meeting I have ever attended at Owlerton, one pass, Flint on Jeppeson in heat 8 and the rest you could fill your programme in 30 yds after the tapes. I doubt even if Birmingham had gated more often it would have been much different as the 2 times that MJJ and Zagar did pop out in front there was still no way Josh or Chris could pass them as the track offered nothing either inside or out. Maybe with last years injuries sustained at Owlerton, the constant slagging off of the Owlerton track for too much dirt building up on the outside and the recent injuries suffered by Tai, maybe the Tigers management and track staff took this onboard and produced an ultra smooth slick track....all in the interests of rider safety, which I'm all for. Although to part with cash for fuel, car parking, programme and entrance as well as my time, then sorry I demand entertainment for that kind of outlay, thankfully next week will be spent watching the "racing" on BSN

  6. Bet 365 pretty much spot on with the handicaps for both meetings so only bets coming in the rider points market Musielak over 11 @11/10, feel certain he will get 6 rides tonight and is more than capable of beating all Sheffields top 3 round Owlerton, Musielak +1 vs Jack Holder @ Evens, for similar reasons above at least one extra ride than Jack and capable of beating him in any one of heats 1, 13 & 15 Josh Pickering -4 vs MJJ @ Evens, 5 rides and being partnered with reserves in most of those outings should be winning the majority of his rides and with MJJ's Owlerton experience pretty much non existent as far as I can recall should win this bet....if he doesn't Sheffield could be in trouble. Charles Wright over 8 @4/5, again with potentially 6 rides should be more than capable of picking up 4 2nds and a couple of 3rds Emil over 10 @ 4/6, Paid 33 out of 35 on his visits to Oxford last season against what was arguably a stronger Oxford side, even if he doesnt get heat 15 and comes 2nd to Doyley in 13 he should still get 11 Emil vs Magic, Emil again as Magic could possibly face Emil 3 times and Doyley once, even with 5 rides Magic is going to do well to hit double figures.
  7. Josh has ridden a couple of challenge matches in Poland as well as Jack one
  8. Belle Vue offered at +10 at even money for tonights fixture, a slight over reaction i feel to last weeks results, the Stars impressive home win over Oxford and the Aces mauling at Ipswich. Ipswich will beat most teams by that margin this year being so strong and the Stars defeated a very poor Oxford side in my opinion. So will definitely be hoping the Aces can get 41 points tonight, given that Kurtz and Bewley should have 11 rides between them. Also Kurtz +1 over Harris, Brady will have 5 rides, possibly 6 and should be getting around 13-15 points. Unless Rob Lyon is totally ruthless and pulls Klindt and Boughen from rides i don't see how Bomber comes close to that. Zach Cook +4 over Klindt, given that Zach might only have to score 1 point tonight to win this bet, it's worth the risk.
  9. Oxford at 5/6 to just win the meeting offers fair value in my opinion. Should be busting a gut after the dissapointment of Monday night, requirement to put on a decent show in front of the home fans and also the fact that the Stars are almost certainly thru theres no need for them to risk anything either. Musielak over 7 at 10/11, should be getting 5 rides, after all who else is going to score points for the Brummies and in those 5 rides should have the beating of his birmingham partner, so 5 points guaranteed and hopefully can pop out the gate in a couple of races and pick a win or a couple of seconds, again the Lions dont need to take any risks and will be more than happy just to win on the evening.
  10. Doyle over 8.... Cant really see King getting better of Doyle in their 3 rides and Only Kurtz and Bewley should be troubling him from the opposition Iversen over 7.....Similar scenario, NKI should be finishing ahead of Klindt in their 3 outings and cant really see any off the opposition troubling him with the exception of Magic Just for giggles as it pays over 7/1, Ipswich, Leicester and Kings Lynn to all win
  11. I would assume by now BSN have done enough of these PCM, Ben Funds and rider testimonials to know their audience figures at said price will cover costs, offer the host track or rider some return and also generate a small profit. Personally I dont see how anyone can complain at the the price charged.....considering it was 28 quid to get in plus fuel to get there. An entire family can watch the meeting in the warmth of their home at around 10% of what it would have cost the for the whole family to attend in person. The question to be asking is not if the viewing figures stacked up but how many customers stay at home and watch BSN's coverage because it offers far more value for money than attending in person.
  12. Not blip in coverage here, as there generally hasn't been for the past 2 years. Admittedly sound was garbage for the first 20mins but eventually got it sorted. As for rewatching, of course you can, every meeting they've ever streamed is still available to watch.
  13. Not sure anyone outside the Top 7 in the betting can win the PCM, although at the beginning of the season any bet is a risk no matter who your putting your pennies on, but Lambert to win and a bit on Fricke EW
  14. When does this change to Discovery+ Sports being free for Sky customers come into effect? Just checked and I can still watch speedway free on Discovery+ as of this morning? Also had no notifications anywhere that there is to be a change to its "free" status
  15. To be honest if it was a wind up and they just doing it to get social media buzzing then you would have gone with leaving Jack Holder out of the video to add extra to fuel to the rumours that where already circulating. Personally think they will now turn to Luke Harrison
  16. In a word NO....mid March to end of August is 24 weeks and there 24 matches in the league alone, wouldnt account for any rain offs, the obvious pause for world cup week and no chance of running the KO cup. The fact is its hard enough to cover injuries/guests now but if everyone had to ride on exactly the same night then the league would descend further into a farce Also add in the fact that Sheffield and Ipswich certainly wouldnt want to run without a majority of Thursday meetings throughout the season
  17. As I said it’s only recent as he wasn’t shutting off going into the first bends prior to the CLRC and as it says above if he gets to the first bend in front he’s off and gone, it’s only when he realises that he may have to get the elbows out in the first turn does he shut off. Similar thing happened in the first leg of the cup at home, heat 8 I think it was, clearly appeared to have the speed to get past Foord, but every time he got close or had the chance to go outside him, he shut off.
  18. To be honest its only the last 6 meetings, obviously 6 rather important meetings and meetings that where all televised for the watching public to see.....despite the best efforts of the BSN commentary teams to gloss over it. It's all been since his incident in Heat 10 at the CLRC, the 2 meetings before that he bagged 26 points from 9 rides, so did that incident at Redcar cause him injury far worse than anyones letting on, or did it "scare" him far more than he dare admit .
  19. Every rider in the world is open to riding in the UK.....at a cost which far out exceeds any UK promoters budget. Its blatantly obvious why they stuck with Pawlicki, no other rider was willing to set up in the UK at the money that was being offered to them.
  20. For example.....tonight Leicester are -8/Belle Vue +8 So at the end of the night you either minus or add those 8 points to the respective team you backed and see if that gives them more points? For tonight if you back Leicester they need to score 50 or more final score being 50-40, meaning 42-40 once handicap applied , If you back Belle Vue they need to score 42 or more
  21. The final chance to bet on British Speedway tonight and seems to me that Bet365 are being rather generous offering Leicester -8 at even money, given that BV have lost both previous visits by 16 and 20 points respectively and Leicester's need to win big tonight. Although I do think Leicester will ultimately come up a couple of points short on aggregate. A few other bets include Fricke over 9, should be hitting double figures as unless he has a complete shocker, should be getting 5 rides as this will go to heat 15. Similar applies to Kurtz at over 8, will get 5 rides and barring EF should easily get 9. Fricke +1 over Bewley, again think 365 have been generous offering the plus one to Fricke, both riders will get 5 rides both should be getting double figures, but the 1 point etc for Max makes it a bet for me Kemp -3 over Vuolas, unaware that Antti has been to Leicester ever and the fact that it make take him a couple of heats to get to grips with the track I dont see him scoring more than 1 point to be honest. Ideally for keeping the meeting close and my bet alive Drew will pop out and win heat 2 and may also have the extra ride in Heat 12 if Sam Hagon isnt performing
  22. Twice actually once with Belle Vue and he also guested for Leicester scoring 4+1 from 4 rides, Beating Dan Gilkes, Jason Edwards, Sam Hagon and Kyle Howarth, who retired My picks being :- Kurtz +2 over Chris, Brady has always ridden Sheffield well, back in his Somerset days was pretty much a home rider with the amount of guest bookings and if he gates wont be passed, should be getting 11/12 points and cant see Chris going through the card to overall that handicap Cook Over 6, Paid 11 on his last visit, and he certainly rides Sheffield better than Lidsey so shouldnt be falling fowl to the dreaded bonus points Howarth under 6, Only having scored over 6 in 6 out of the 15 home meetings this year, nursing a knock and his tendency to override when trying too hard and usually messing up
  23. Tough meeting to call tonight as i think it all depends which Bomber turns up, prime play off Bomber then Sheffield could be hitting 40+ points, get the season long Oxford Bomber who has struggled to hit double figures anywhere in the top league and Belle Vue could be taking a 16pt lead to Owlerton...as such wont be touching the handicaps for the meeting but a couple of plays Vuolas under 6, ok he wins heat 2 but barring an EF how does he get 4 more points, given he meets both Holders Pickering and Howarth in 2 out of his 3 remaining rides Edwards Under 4, as per above, comes second in heat 2 and then where does he get another point Mulford over Gilkes, Jake comes third in heat 2, Dan doesnt score a point all night Blodorn over 5 and also over Howarth. More than capable of winning Heat 1 and 8, where he meets Howarth in both heats, plus Kyle nursing an injury and hasn't gone great around the NSS all season, only scoring 12 points in 3 separate meetings.
  24. Got to be some value in Fricke under 15 @ 5/4 Going to have to have 6 rides to get over 15 and as the result should be a forgone conclusion by heat 15 no guarantee Fricke will venture out given there is a GP this weekend. Also add in that he could easily finish behind team mate Lawson in any of their 4 rides together
  25. But as stated previously, Picko has already signed for Leszno so will only be available for a limited number of Thursdays.
