Eurosport, terrible professionalism.

When does this change to Discovery+ Sports being free for Sky customers come into effect? Just checked and I can still watch speedway free on Discovery+ as of this morning? Also had no notifications anywhere that there is to be a change to its "free" status -
To be honest if it was a wind up and they just doing it to get social media buzzing then you would have gone with leaving Jack Holder out of the video to add extra to fuel to the rumours that where already circulating. Personally think they will now turn to Luke Harrison

Annual General Merry Up 2025
Heathcote replied to SuffolkWitch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
In a word NO....mid March to end of August is 24 weeks and there 24 matches in the league alone, wouldnt account for any rain offs, the obvious pause for world cup week and no chance of running the KO cup. The fact is its hard enough to cover injuries/guests now but if everyone had to ride on exactly the same night then the league would descend further into a farce Also add in the fact that Sheffield and Ipswich certainly wouldnt want to run without a majority of Thursday meetings throughout the season -
As I said it’s only recent as he wasn’t shutting off going into the first bends prior to the CLRC and as it says above if he gets to the first bend in front he’s off and gone, it’s only when he realises that he may have to get the elbows out in the first turn does he shut off. Similar thing happened in the first leg of the cup at home, heat 8 I think it was, clearly appeared to have the speed to get past Foord, but every time he got close or had the chance to go outside him, he shut off.

To be honest its only the last 6 meetings, obviously 6 rather important meetings and meetings that where all televised for the watching public to see.....despite the best efforts of the BSN commentary teams to gloss over it. It's all been since his incident in Heat 10 at the CLRC, the 2 meetings before that he bagged 26 points from 9 rides, so did that incident at Redcar cause him injury far worse than anyones letting on, or did it "scare" him far more than he dare admit .

Every rider in the world is open to riding in the UK.....at a cost which far out exceeds any UK promoters budget. Its blatantly obvious why they stuck with Pawlicki, no other rider was willing to set up in the UK at the money that was being offered to them.
-
For example.....tonight Leicester are -8/Belle Vue +8 So at the end of the night you either minus or add those 8 points to the respective team you backed and see if that gives them more points? For tonight if you back Leicester they need to score 50 or more final score being 50-40, meaning 42-40 once handicap applied , If you back Belle Vue they need to score 42 or more

The final chance to bet on British Speedway tonight and seems to me that Bet365 are being rather generous offering Leicester -8 at even money, given that BV have lost both previous visits by 16 and 20 points respectively and Leicester's need to win big tonight. Although I do think Leicester will ultimately come up a couple of points short on aggregate. A few other bets include Fricke over 9, should be hitting double figures as unless he has a complete shocker, should be getting 5 rides as this will go to heat 15. Similar applies to Kurtz at over 8, will get 5 rides and barring EF should easily get 9. Fricke +1 over Bewley, again think 365 have been generous offering the plus one to Fricke, both riders will get 5 rides both should be getting double figures, but the 1 point etc for Max makes it a bet for me Kemp -3 over Vuolas, unaware that Antti has been to Leicester ever and the fact that it make take him a couple of heats to get to grips with the track I dont see him scoring more than 1 point to be honest. Ideally for keeping the meeting close and my bet alive Drew will pop out and win heat 2 and may also have the extra ride in Heat 12 if Sam Hagon isnt performing
-
Twice actually once with Belle Vue and he also guested for Leicester scoring 4+1 from 4 rides, Beating Dan Gilkes, Jason Edwards, Sam Hagon and Kyle Howarth, who retired My picks being :- Kurtz +2 over Chris, Brady has always ridden Sheffield well, back in his Somerset days was pretty much a home rider with the amount of guest bookings and if he gates wont be passed, should be getting 11/12 points and cant see Chris going through the card to overall that handicap Cook Over 6, Paid 11 on his last visit, and he certainly rides Sheffield better than Lidsey so shouldnt be falling fowl to the dreaded bonus points Howarth under 6, Only having scored over 6 in 6 out of the 15 home meetings this year, nursing a knock and his tendency to override when trying too hard and usually messing up
-
Tough meeting to call tonight as i think it all depends which Bomber turns up, prime play off Bomber then Sheffield could be hitting 40+ points, get the season long Oxford Bomber who has struggled to hit double figures anywhere in the top league and Belle Vue could be taking a 16pt lead to Owlerton...as such wont be touching the handicaps for the meeting but a couple of plays Vuolas under 6, ok he wins heat 2 but barring an EF how does he get 4 more points, given he meets both Holders Pickering and Howarth in 2 out of his 3 remaining rides Edwards Under 4, as per above, comes second in heat 2 and then where does he get another point Mulford over Gilkes, Jake comes third in heat 2, Dan doesnt score a point all night Blodorn over 5 and also over Howarth. More than capable of winning Heat 1 and 8, where he meets Howarth in both heats, plus Kyle nursing an injury and hasn't gone great around the NSS all season, only scoring 12 points in 3 separate meetings.
-
Got to be some value in Fricke under 15 @ 5/4 Going to have to have 6 rides to get over 15 and as the result should be a forgone conclusion by heat 15 no guarantee Fricke will venture out given there is a GP this weekend. Also add in that he could easily finish behind team mate Lawson in any of their 4 rides together

But as stated previously, Picko has already signed for Leszno so will only be available for a limited number of Thursdays.

Sheffield vs Ipswich 2024 Cup Final Sept 2nd
Heathcote replied to ShanoXtra's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Same comments attributed to Chris on the Sheffield website just refer to Chris as a heat leader so I’d say it’s a mistake on the SGB website calling him the captain -
A straight Ipswich, Kings Lynn, Leicester treble pays 9/2 All meetings will be close but hoping all the 46-44's land as above, worth it for a small play Kvech at +2 over Jack is the only other place ill get involved, Cant see Sheffield dropping that far behind they need a tactical and also cannot see Jack venturing out in Heat 15 as the GP is this weekend so Kvech with 6 rides and a 2 point start ought to be outscoring Holder

Oxford vs Leicester 29/08/2024 PL R2
Heathcote replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You missed rode for Smederna last night But scoring nothing and only taking 2 rides would imagine perfectly acceptable for him to state “ I tried but injuries are still causing discomfort so can’t make it for this meeting” -
Every championship team has been on 3 times at home except Glasgow and Poole who so far have only featured twice. Edinburgh, Plymouth and Oxford all did appear in back to back meetings at home, although in Oxford's case one was the Cheetahs and one was the Spires 26 Championship meetings televised so far, including the Championship pairs

King’s Lynn vs Sheffield - 29.07.24
Heathcote replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Without me having to trawl through several pages on this forum, can some let me know how KL are still able to use a guest for Musielak when his ban ended on the 14th July at which point he had to return or be replaced? -
Double of Sheffield and Ipswich pays 14/5 that should easily cover any other the gambles i place Sheffield -2, think the top 3 of Sheffield will have the Tigers pushing close to 50 points on the night Chris Holder over 8, currently in the best form for a good few years and always keen to put one over Buster, hopefully gets heat 15 and that should see him hitting double figures Ipswich +0 at Heat 8, even if Lindgren is flying Id imagine that it will take Pawlicki and Lampart a few heats to get up to speed and the Witches should easily be leading at heat 8 Bomber over 6 and Lindgren Over 10....for exactly the same reasons listed by TTT

When you purchase a subscription or match pass.....not sure if a yearly subscription is now the cheapest option as you've missed several meetings already....but you register your email address and password When you locate BSN on your TV you will have to sign in using the same email address and password You can go to the BSN site on your tv now, to ensure it works, just you cant watch anything till you signed in etc
-
If you have a smart tv you just enter the web address in your tv browser Streaming services are available via firesticks if you download and pay for the 'right' apps

365 must be feeling generous tonight Belle Vue -16??? I dont see the Stars scoring 37, unless Wojdylo takes an instant like to the track. Personally i see Kings Lynn struggling to get to 30 points Also backing the Aces at -6 after 8 heats, they should romp into an early lead Bit of a gamble on Lawson over 7, Should get 5 rides with RR in operation and as i see him being Kings Lynn top scorer he could get heat 15 and a tac sub ride.....admittedly being a guest he may be over looked for all 3 extra rides and they give them to Rowe and Wojdylo Lidsey over 9, apart from Cook dont see anyone else finishing ahead of him Bewley -4 over Klindt, dont see Bewley dropping any points apart from Heat 13 and I dont see Klindt getting near 7 points

Can anyone tell me who this is?
Heathcote replied to a4poster's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Jordan Jenkins isnt it? -
Would imagine that Belle Vue are a shoe in at -8 tonight, going to have to be some great performances by Janowski, Harris and Cook for Oxford to hit 40 points tonight Also backing Tungate over 9, a good chance he will get 6 rides and id like to think he would win at least one and hopefully doesnt come last in any. Also backing Magic under 8, in 6 meetings this year has only scored over 8 once and hasn't managed to score 5 away from home yet. Much tougher to call the Tigers meeting tonight, but as i fully expect Jack to have 5 rides given that Sheffield will want to maximise the score ahead of the aggregate bonus in the return fixture so hopefully he can score over 11. Whilst Adam Ellis claims he wasnt unhappy at losing his position with the tigers last year, Im certain he will still be in the mood to prove he has still got what it takes around Owlerton and we all know if he gates at Sheffield he is very quick, so fully expect him to score over 5. Will also have a small gamble on Thompson at 7/4 to outscore Kyle. Its probably unlikely but Kyle has been in rather poor form so far this season for both the Tigers and Scorpions and Dan is another who once pops out in front is hard to pass....basically a gamble on Thompson winning heat 8
