  1. Can you move the conversation - this is for 2018 teams only...
  2. But Scott Nicholls is allowed to ride in the Championship - thought he was Newcastle-bound? #dreamon
  3. That is the thing with Redcar, can anyone name a good rider who doesnt ride the STMP well? No. That is the point. Should be a cracking meeting if the riders turn up.
  4. CVS had very little input? Shows how little you know...stick to the Greyhound stadium
  5. Because they are my predictions - and I can write what I please, oh dear - the nurses not keeping up with the medication? never mind - be bed time soon....
  6. So let's open this up.... I am going with Scotty Nicholls at Peterborough with maybe someone like Bukhave to complete.... 1 Ipswich - Barely a weakness for me, on paper the best team - as it stands, the one to beat, I give them the edge on Glasgow as I think they will get more away points 2 Glasgow - Cracking looking side, wouldn't surprise me if they win - they need Vissing or Starke to step up to third heat leader, if one of them does then they will be impressive indeed 3 Sheffield - Defending champion look good, and will be very hard to get near at home - as ever - will take some beating 4 Lakeside - Great looking team and very strong and impressive top-two - best in the league for me, and that will take them a long way 5 Scunthorpe - Best rider in the league in Worrall but just not convinced Auty and Garrity can do it for the whole season, if they do then they could push for play-offs 6 Workington - Solid rather than spectacular team, missing power at the top end, but will be good at home 7 Edinburgh - Need someone to step up to third heat-leader role, but they will make changes so could easily go better than this initial team 8 - Redcar - All down to newcomers Stewart and MBA - if one of those is a gem, they could go really well given they have strongest reserve pairing in the league - if not, could be a struggle 9 Peterborough - Even with Nicholls, don't fancy the Panthers to trouble the better teams - his average will drop massively too, don't think he will be as dominant as they hope 10 - Berwick - Solid enough, Summers is solid enough at 1 and reserves will be good but the rest look average at best 11 - Newcastle - Barring Nicki Pederson coming back at number one, this could be worst Newcastle team in years, poor heat-leaders, average second-stringers - the fact they have had to wait to build team has cleared hampered them - mid-season changes could help them a lot Everyone says the teams are level - but I think the top-five in this list are some way ahead of the rest IMO
  7. Everything is barring injury obvs.....all in all, Poole aside I don't think there is too much between them all - could be very competitive. 1 - Poole - No brainer, they will be doing something wrong if they don't win 2 - Belle Vue - Good team with improvement to be had, think they will do well 3 - Wolves - I like the look of Wolves, strong and will trouble some teams away from home 4 - Leicester - Nice balanced team, but new boys will be the key - they could very well finish higher than 4th 5 - Swindon - Solid unit and will push for play-off spot 6 - Somerset - Hard to see them pushing for top-four 7 - King's Lynn - Could be stronger than some think but they have to go here for now 8 - Rye House - Poor side IMO, will get some good spankings away from home - not convinced
  8. Haven't I read before that Edinburgh were hopeful on a venue near the airport a few years ago?
  9. Newcastle and Carl Wilkinson are perfect for each other....
  10. Don't get me wrong I never said the Fours at Peterborough was bad - I just don't think it will be any worse, racing wise, for going to Redcar - far from it.
  11. Having attended a number of fours events at Peterborough - there is no reason to suggest that Redcar won't be better, the EOS track is not lightyears ahead of any track (Newcastle granted), especially Redcar.
  12. Decent 1 to 7 - will be ok at home, but will get some drubbings away, but same can be said of a number of sides. Think we have the strongest reserve pairing in the league, but the fact we have wasted nearly a full point says a lot... 1 - Barker - Good number one, but lack of support from rest of team could pile pressure on - hope not 2 - Stewart - Always nice to have a new face, did ok in Aussie champs and looking forward to seeing him 3 - JBA - Really good rider, came on a lot last season, but big ask to ride as a heat-leader 4 - MBA - Could be the ace in the pack - if anyone is going to step up, could be him - again exciting addition 5 - Kus - Tough call to make him ride as second heat-leader, hopefully he maintains his average 6 - Busch - Great to see him back - should push for top-5 spot 7 - Pijper - Not a huge fan, but at reserve and on that average could and should be adding more than a point So as has been said, solid team - should entertain at home - Good number one, great reserves and two new additions - won't be making the play-offs but should be decent value.
  13. That is the point, he could only give a ball park figure - but clearly you know more than him...time for your bed, the nurses will be around soon....
  14. It is not opinion, it is fact he refused to ride for Redcar - no matter who promotion was - but that is a side issue and his past decisions have nothing to do with us signing him now - totally agree. But the main problem with him I have is, he is simply not good enough to be number two heatleader - but as I have said that isnt really his fault, he has been signed to fill that role - but I don't believe he is good enough - I hear people saying what a great racer he is, well yes if he gates - otherwise he is not bothered. I sincerely hopes he proves me wrong and does a Micky Dyer and becomes one of the stars of the season - I just can't see it, as - as I have said - I don't rate him as a rider, nothing to do with what he has or hasnt said or done in the past.
  15. I have seen enough of Matey Kus to know exactly what we are getting and in his defence it is the managements fault he is being signed as a second heatleader, which he clearly isnt good enough to be....
  16. At the end of the day he wanted out of Redcar - plenty of better riders than him stayed around, he refused to ride for us - for me, I would never have him back - but he is here now so we just have to get on with it.
  17. I support Redcar - doesnt mean I have to like all 7 riders - he is a professional and will get on with it, good look to him but I don't have to be happy about it. Oh and the fact I help pay his wages, is more than enough support...
  18. Of course over that many fans could - the whole back straight, a massive two tiered hill - nobody knows how many people came through the gates that night - CVS has told me there was close to 5,000 that night - and safe to say he knows a tad more than you...
  19. Quite a distance away, less than 10 minute walk...but given you were counting every person to enter that night you will have been busy....
  20. Matej Kus, Jordan Stewart and Tobias Busch confirmed - that is Redcar complete Kus 7.64 Stewart 5.2 Busch 4.66
  21. Unfortunately Matej Kus will be back with the Bears in 2018...
  22. Why does everyone think Konopka...other Bears assets available
