  1. Dont think result is a huge shock, Redcar were below standard - but this team - unlike what some may say - is not a realistic contender for silverware. Saying that I am not going to have a go at promotion, given the limited budget the club run on dont think a better team could be put together. I think main issue is big hitter, Summers, Ostergaard and Kus are all capable but they will all struggle to be in the leagues top 20/3 this season.
  2. To be fair to SS it does have Redcar as dark horses, totally depends on Ostergaard and Kus really they could either by 9 point men or 7 point men. But that is the joys of predictions - would love us to be play-off contenders but not sure I can see it.
  3. Room for one new manager in the best online Speedway management simulation - get in touch - http://www.simspeedway.co.uk/
  4. I used to love the extended averages, at the time the only place to find these.
  5. Whilst Dilger is the one I, and many Redcar fans want, there is a worry that this deal would have been put to bed long ago if it was him as he is our asset - fingers crossed, Max deserves place.
  6. Dont think many Redcar fans think anything over than bottom four unless we see a return to 9-point status for Ulrich, which looks unlikely. Redcar look well built for the STMP - Skidmore, Wilko and Dyer all go very well and with Kus, Summers and Ostergaard they have three who can beat anyone at home - but that is also a side that could get easily get 60 put on it at places like Newcastle, Ipswich and Somerset,
  7. So Dilger is one under consideration for last spot - but obviously there is an issue, maybe with him riding in Denmark. Would think Bondarenko, Paul Cooper, Mitchell Davey and Stefan Nielsen might be under consideration. Real shame Bears asset Maks Gregoric - who would fit - cant be persuaded to return to the PL.
  8. I just saw the SS and Havvy snr quotes, seems like he wanted same 1 to 7 which finished the season but Doolan let him down, hinting again that Leicester pay packet was bigger etc. Now again I dont blame Doolan for going, but shows no loyalty to club who help revitalise him - another who in the future I would not touch if he is dropped and a proactive side like Leicester would have no qualms about chopping him if his form is not good from the off, I am not Havvy snr's biggest fan, but fair play to him and the consortium not a bad side at all.
  9. Ostergaard, Kus, Micky Dyer and Hugh Skidmore announced by Redcar. One place left.
  10. Must admit very happy with Hugh Skidmore - he looked very good at STMP last season. And Micky Dyer - well when I saw him in glimpses he also showed potential - so you have to be happy with those. And Matej and Ulrich, am pleased - both are capable of much more. Be interesting what we do with last place.
  11. My money would be on Dan Phillips - although I would like Kurtz or Nielsen.
  12. Well spotted Mr Pud! Better mood now although not expecting too exciting!
  13. Bears next signing will be 'Promising young reserve' whilst talks with Dilger, Ostergaard and Kus continue. Hmmmmm step forward Jade Mudgway. http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/north-east-sport/motorsport-news/redcar-bears/2012/12/04/redcar-bears-set-to-unveil-a-new-face-for-2013-later-this-week-84229-32354959/
  14. If he is cheap then he will certainly be in the mix!
  15. Remember that it is only us old fans who see the start time as strange, if they aim for a new market - then the time might make sense, as said very child friendly - I know at some home meetings we don't get away until after 930 which is not great for any family.
  16. Team to be called Kent with nickname to be decided, two-years in NL and then if successful PL application! Sounds good. http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/Sport/Speedway/Rye-House-Raiders-to-move-to-Kent-29112012.htm
  17. Phew Delighted young Screeny is staying at Glasgow!
  18. No Wilkinson, and we sign Joe Screen (reportededly) Apart from the parmo shops, who is going to be happy with that? Dear me all i am now waiting for suchanek and bugeja to sign to round off a perfect team!
  19. Bleedy hope not! the Retirement Bears gig is getting beyond a joke! But lets wait and see, imagine he would be too expensive.
  20. Cant one of the MODS please stick this instead of the 2012 one!!!!
  21. Not a massive shock, shame as the team seemed to be a good group at the end with some potential. As I have said would be amazed if Mudgway wasnt signed, cheap and on the door step and unlikely to be wanted elsewhere. Nailed on under the Havvy snr regime.
  22. Agree, would not mind Ulrich, kus, summers, doolan, dilger, wilko plus one more
  23. Not sure you can describe someone who nearly lost a point on their average as VERY good. And Kus I think on that average would be too good not to take a risk on - plus remember he is not that expensive which will have a major say on his future.
  24. Might depend if Wolves look at Kus again...
