Peterborough V Redcar 09/04/2017.
RedcarRacer replied to spencebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ostergaard knows his way around STMP - but he is a shadow of his former self - won't hit double figures on Thursday. This Bears team could be 20 on the Panthers with BWD not riding. -
Yeah he was, but his gating was good - Woffy and Harris both great too, but Kerr and Matty T were so good as they normally missed the gate
-
Well no, because the straight drive from 1 and 2 just doesnt happen as it used to, as going inside is just much quicker - no matter what is done to bends 3 and 4. Skidders speciality??? lol - heard it all now, one of the most average riders I have ever seen - a permanent second stringer. Wasnt in the same league as the likes of Kerr and Matty T around the STMP.
-
As I have always said, when Glynn T brought the corner in on bend 1 and 2, with a new kerb it shortened the track and it also gave a new inside line which previously did not exist - most rides now play follow the leader around this inside line, the outside line used to be the quickest way around with Chris Kerr and Matt T doing it best of all, but since there was this new inside line it makes it much harder to go around, it could be prepared to try and encourage more, especially on bends 3 and 4 but the dirt is too deep.

Championship Teams Comparison Time
RedcarRacer replied to balderdash&piffle's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think it all looks very competitive, helped by the fact Plymouth have dropped out and the Redcar have stepped up - the two usual dunces of the class are not around. For me the stand out looks like Ipswich, but I think there are some strong top 5s. It may come down to who has a reserve who steps up from nowhere - everyone will be strong at home from what I can see. -

Why is everyone so concerned about Hall. We haven't had a good reserve in years at least we have something that resembles a good top 5. Why is everyone so concerned about Hall. We haven't had a good reserve in years at least we have something that resembles a good top 5.

Considering what we have had, I am delighted with that team. Well done to promotion. Will be very good at home. Barker and Garrity love Redcar so once dialled in will be great and Anderson and Busch can still progress. Charles Wright is also I think a trump card at home. Hall will be up and down as with perks but considering what we had last season this is light-years ahead of that. Really pleased.

Redcar have confirmed they made a profit last season with one of the worst teams in Teesside history. So same again from the idiots in charge. Bellego wont be back, if Berwick or Sheffield show any interest. Skidmore, Anderson and Busch will most likely be back. Jorgenson will be our big hope for number one, otherwise probably be Anderson as Bjerre wont be back after his falling out. Payne is cheap so he will be back too - but Banford won't be as we can get a loan fee.

Redcar Vs Sheffield Pl 24/06/2016
RedcarRacer replied to Tigerish's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
This was a decent showing and not a bad meeting. Dusty as ever but the main point of interest being Tobias Busch - who looked a decent little rider with a lot of potential. Although crowds have dropped still amazed by how many fans Redcar are still attracting...imagine if we had a good side!!! -

A defeat but spirited effort from The Bears... -
Redcar V Newcastle - Thursday 31st March (challenge)

Our season not to be over until August - I'll take that now!!! -
Redcar Vs Berwick 24/3/15
RedcarRacer replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I would be shocked if Skidmore is not at 2, he loves it there and offers some protection - think Bukhave may go 4, with Bellego at 3 and Anderson 5 - but Bjerre and Anderson aside, it really doesn't matter about the rest in terms of scoring anyway. -
Premier League Predictions 2016
RedcarRacer replied to SomersetBlue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It could easily be a NE bottom two this season, although Newcastle's saving grace would be their promotion would probably make changes - where as barring injuries Redcar highly unlikely to bring anyone in. -
Jacob Bukhave on a 7 (assessed) completes Redcar. On club website.
-
Redcar confirm signing of Jacob Bukhave on 7 assessed. To be fair as good as we could have hoped for...

Brian Havelock s looking for an experienced number one to work with him throughout 2016 Premier League season in the UK. No Van is supplied and rates of pay are not good. If interested, please contact Brian Havelock - Manager, Redcar Bears.

Personally I think Redcar want cash as they could very well believe, like me, that Kus will probably get dropped before the end of the season. I am more than happy for him to go to the greyhounds, he wont like Newcastle and when his engines get low on power - as they always do, they will kick him out.
-
I dont see the issue, as soon as the first averages come in, they will make at least one big signing to add to it, that is how I would see it. No way that team will finish the season, even if they all avoided injury.
-
Havvy snr is moaning about no 8.5 rider - then why doesn't he sign two lads on 6 instead, why sign Nielsen who isn't going to do much.
-
Bellego and Bjerre were both available on loan. If Kus is not, then you can't sign him on loan - pretty simple but also Havvy snr is probably waiting to see if Proctor becomes available before allowing Kus to leave. Love the suddenly pro-Kus fan base emerging on Tyneside, has always received a lot of stick from the Greyhounds. I like Matey a lot but I cant see him liking Rough Park at all.
-
Cant see Redcar bringing in a Grajczonek or Howarth, so firmly believe Proctor is the one they want and I would be very happy with that, would solidify a decent looking side. If we could get Jonas at reserve that would be a huge bonus. Don't think Berge will be back as surely he would have been announced by now.
-
Think Berge could be Sheffield bound, otherwise would surely have been announced by Redcar again. On Howarth would think he is nailed on for Sheffield.
