Redcar v Berwick - 10/5/2024, Cab Direct Championship

Wright, Edwards and one of the reserves...the rest, including King could go, complete rebuild needed. -
Redcar v Berwick - 10/5/2024, Cab Direct Championship
RedcarRacer replied to pvm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
First meeting of the year...and what a load of dross, one of the worst Teesside teams I have ever seen. Track prep looks appalling...major changes needed on and off the track. A shame as it was a pretty healthy crowd...fans won't put up with these displays and nor should they. Berwick very solid indeed, but didn't have to be at their best to win. -
Redcar vs Newcastle Fri 23 July
RedcarRacer replied to StevePark's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Worst Newcastle team ever, appalling. Good crowd who hope aren't put off too much by the meeting which was anything but smooth. -
Even with a ten point start in every meeting, Newcastle will finish bottom comfortably - I hope they don't get too battered as their notoriously fickle fans will just stay away...

Bears v Lions Grand Final as it stands...
-
At four, not at head leader...be amazing as a second stringer
-
Hope you are right with that one...be he strongest home side we have ever put out
-
Brilliant from Sheffield.
-
Sounds like.majority of last seasons side will be back. Delighted to have Riss back, wasn't sure we could retain him.
-
Wright and Stewart I would imagine...hopefully followed by Riss and Anderson, but suspect they will have a few offers...
-
I would like to have Wright, Riss, Stewart...Anderson would be welcome back....as for new signings, dream would be Nicol and Kemp...but this management have done a great job this year so will likely already know the bulk of the team they want in 2020.
-
Good luck to The Tigers! Will be very competitive in the top-flight and hopefully fans will react and get behind them!

Redcar v Leicester Semi final
RedcarRacer replied to johnyson66's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Wright, Lawson and Riss - hard to remember a better heat leading trio since the Cleveland Park days... -
And I would probably use Lewis Kerr at Newcastle in the cup...and then there are a few options for the home leg
-
Imagine Steve Worrall and Broc Nicol - certainly wouldnt be weaker!
-
As has been said, I would have Steve Worrall for both...if not the likes of Heeps, Ellis, Summers...
-
A stunning signing by The Bears, well done to the management... http://www.redcar-speedway.com/2019/07/03/bears-make-three-changes/

Newcastle Diamonds vs Berwick Bandits CS
RedcarRacer replied to mike7164's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Good job Gappmaier did nothing, otherwise this could have been a real hammering... -
So... Definite play-off teams Somerset - Best looking team in the league, will be hard to beat IMO Sheffield - Strong again, won't be touched at home and will compete for top-spot Play-off contenders Glasgow - Obviously strong, but look weak-ish at the bottom end Redcar - Love our top three and we will get some points on the road, and Stewart Bacon and Smith are very exciting prospects Leicester - They could be the dark horses for me, look a good team Workington - Always strong at home, and can't be written off - but hard to see a repeat of the title Missing out Eastbourne - If Lawson and Kennett are confirmed, they will be hard to beat at home Edinburgh - Not too impressed, they might struggle early on, but like always with a good promotion they will make changes Scunthorpe - Not a bad team, but not sure strength is there to challenge play-offs - List in top-five is a bit of an ask Bottom dwellers Berwick - Might push higher but still not too strong and don't see how they can challenge the better teams Newcastle - Poor team, unless last signing is Nicki Pederson - although I can see them making early changes which could make big difference Birmingham - Built to a budget, can see it being a bit of a struggle first season back

Michael Palm-Toft 7.96Charles Wright 7.68Ben Barker 6.87Tom Bacon 4.50Jordan Stewart 4.09 Nathan Greaves 3.99Jack Smith 2.73 So this team is confirmed....huge well done to Bears management - three genuine heat-leaders, and full of young potential. Loving the Bacon and Smith signings, think they could love the STMP every week....but it is MPT and Wright signings that make this VII, didn't think we would see a top three that good - pressure off Barker now and he will fly - on paper that is one, if not the, best teams ever put together by the Bears. Well done Jitendra.

Brummies fans should stay away from the Redcar thread... (mmmmmmm that's Bacon I can smell) and for those hoping for Barker....oh no, guess what! -
