Ipswich Witches 2024 serious team predictions
scoobydoo replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Jordan hasnt exactly had alot of sucessful meetings at Foxhall but hes not afraid to test himself further , Would of expected him to be at Oxford in both Premiership & Championship but this deal most likely agreed before Oxford announced running in Premiership Been a steadily Improving rider last couple seasons , look after him as he hopefully will be required back at Peterborough in 2025 he says very hopefully. -
One can really only hope that the two parties Chapman and the Consortium have sat down and come to a mutual agreement concerning the sale of the club, Chapman only gets an agreed price for the club if the future of the team is extended but he has no involvment in the fight to save the club The Consortium pays an agreed price if the club gets an extention to its future on track that also reflects the fact they have done all the donkey work to keep the club running . Nothing will be announced in the mean time unless the outcome of the fight is sorted Chapman maybe a shrewd businesses man but hes dealing with a Consortium who are equally just as shrewd in busuness.

Just the new team sponsor to come now no doubt Kings Lynn AEPG Stars
-
Who will actually be representing the club as the "current" owner of the Peterborough Panthers for the meeting on December 6th
-
It was posted by Cllr Julie Stevenson , unless she is now on the consortium and has put up some cash as well it wont be that
-
Would of had to of been a very quick agreement to a meeting even taking place let alone any deal to extend so cannot see that being the announcement, There has been talk on FB of a date being arranged to conduct a "protest" walk in Peterborough , with advice to get the tshirts , banners and flags ready So my guess its time to get your warm winter coat and suitable footware sorted .
-
Is It possible that the Peterborough Panthers name is all the consortium may want to buy at this stage , Its been stated on here that the air fence is worthless as its past its expiry and was due to be replaced for 2024.
-
Started by the same person as well, maybe get the hat trick soon
-
I would of thought many Panthers fans would of been more interested in seeing Max Perry race , than someone like Jason Edwards or Ashton Boughton no disrespect to either but Max had links to the Panthers as a former Mascot
-
Read on the FB page that the supporters club were covering the cost of entry for any ex Peterborough riders that having been invited to attend had said yes , there was another post which suggested both Andy Fisher and Mick Spinks wanted to attend but as they hadn't been invited , they could attend but pay at the turnstile to get in , there was no indication of how many invites were sent out and how many had said yes/no , The supporters club cannot be blamed at all for this as they made the gesture to riders no doubt on the back of the managements refusal to pay for those who wanted to attend as ex panthers riders.

Theres a track, walk for anyone who wants to have a last nostalgic stroll, but im expecting him to charge for that as well , or maybe its free if everyone brings a every little helps bag for life to fill with clay for him to transport along the A47

Ipswich v Sheffield play off final 1st leg
scoobydoo replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just got to hope that Doyle doesn't do anymore crash dummy testing in the GP today and unfortunately ends up missing the 1st leg Monday , Then Harris guests for Sheffield and Lawson ends up as the guest for Doyle Now that would cause some very interesting chatter on here . -
Fear you will be correct Here's hoping that from October 8th those who maybe involved in attempting to keep the club alive get the chance to show that PETERBOROUGH NEEDS SPEEDWAY

Came across an uploaded tribute to Craig Featherby by his brother Neil on you tube yesterday that included footage of Craig riding for Kings Lynn and Milton Keynes It was 40 years ago on the 16th September 1983 that Craig sadly lost his life from injuries received in a track crash at the showground Whilst i was shocked it was now 40 years ago i still have memories of that fateful night , The very wet track and atrocious conditions that the riders rode in that night with many saying at the time the meeting should never have been run at all. As a consequence of the fateful crash the control board made it compulsory for track lighting to be moved back from the fence to a minimum of 3 metres The lighting in those days was like a standard street light and if one bulb blew it left a dark spot on the track thankfully theres no issue with todays bright lights.

Belle Vue vs Ipswich (playoff semi 2nd leg) 25/09/23

And to think the most important point for Ipswich after that semi final was the one Leicester didn't get at Peterborough -

Hawkins face will be priceless if they do -
The best racing you get at Lynn these days is on 4 wheels, You get around 3hrs entertainment not 15mins , has passing and action on most bends of most laps A different winner in most races, the meeting runs even if its sunny or a bit wet although this does take away some of the entertainment on the clay surface and all for around the same money as the 2 wheel bikes ,

True in most cases, but as his average has been achieved with just the one club does that apply to him as well
