In one possible scenario of the KOC, Kings Lynn could end up with a team that includes Ben Cook and Lawson racing for the Stars against Poole at Poole !!
-
Oxford yes, but Birmingham moved up due to race night restrictions not primarily because they wanted to, theres always the possibility that Lynn would of dropped down as well i suppose
-
With the current issues being faced by Birmingham to field a competitive team in the 2025 premiership , What state would the league of been in if Wolverhampton & Peterborough were still running ?
-
Whats the possible timescale now then with the "call in", take it Santa Claus will be back resting up after another hectic nights work long before the second committee sit and decide again if it comes to that , that is ?
-
What did happen to the track lights in the end ? It seems as though they didn't go to Workington as was rumoured at one stage, Were they sold for scrap ?, If so hope MT kept the bulbs he allegedly had to pay for !!
-
If they were to compromise and the Grandstand and track are left in the present position would they be liable to restore it to its before decommissioned state with regards the fence, pits, lights and Grandstand as it could be argued it should of been left until after the planning meeting.
-
May end up being far cheaper for AEPG to incorporate the existing position and use of the Grandstand and track than move it anywhere else
-
Watched the video of yesterday's meeting and to my surprise it turns out the Chairman of the Planning Committee is an ex work colleague of mine who i worked with for a good 10+ years , he loves his sport especially the red half of merseyside and hes a big fisherman also.

Im sure Laguta Racing Fan has been in contact with his best mate Artem to attend today
-
Had a look what they said via the councils website as i couldn't open the link , Paragraph 62 of there objection was strange saying the fence and track could easily be restored ,then saying the start finish line and refs box could be repositioned, but then the strange statement of saying the Grandstand wasnt required/needed.

You could also say he needs to "travel" from his home to the track in Poland in a van which requires him to also sit for a period of time in a seat , unless of course he's living in a porta cabin in the car park at the stadium -

Luke Becker should of got rider of the night as i believe he was the only rider to pass anyone after the 3rd bend of lap 1 -
So the Government will be pushing for houses to be built on Coventry and Lakeside's derelict land and just think how many they could fit on Rockingham .
-
Will Monday's meeting against Leicester include a closing down ceremony after ht 15, Or will Lynn fans get the chance to say goodbye at a farewell to the AFA meeting with any ex stars riders who accept an invitation to attend as long as the supporters club pay for there entry .
-
The new government's pledge to build more houses over the next few years and the fact it seems there going to be putting even more pressure on all councils around the country to provide the necessary land to fulfill there part of the required numbers must put even more added doubts over the showground land , PCC may see the showground as an easy solution to them providing land within the Peterborough area , will the PCC just make AEPGs plans easier to approve or will they not be presssured into what could be the easy option.

scoobydoo replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Theres a bit of a problem , but it would be great entertainment to watch on Aug BH Monday . Sayfutdinov & NKI going one way round the AFA and the big van bangers going the other way around at the sametime, -
R.I.P Anne Jackson Sad to hear of the passing of Anne , She was a very likeable lady with a very big heart, she helped so many riders from Boston and Peterborough over the years.

He won his first ever race there for Peterborough last season then followed up with a few duck eggs , hope for Lynn's sake he doesn't quit as its all you need , especially if Basso is also hurt -
King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
scoobydoo replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Theres got to be a slight concern that Wojdylo is going through the motions of a rider who appears as if hes about to quit , copycat of Tarasenko's last meeting at Sheffield for Lynn -
Buster will now unfortunately be remembered by most Peterborough fans as the promoter who appears to of let the club die , not as one of the promoter's that achieved the ultimate prize of a league winning team at Peterborough. He could of been far more understanding and respectfull towards the fans at Peterborough some of which that have followed the club for the full 53 continuous years of the clubs existance when making his announcement over the tannoy, but being understanding and respectfull at times is not a known strength of Buster, that many will agree on, he deserves some criticism for the way he came across with the announcement, but ultimately even if he had been more up for the fight the club would of still been trackless for 2024 From the beginning of the 2023 season I for one wanted to see Michael Tomalin as the owner of the Panthers purely as he would of been more up for the fight to keep the Panthers on track and had Peterborough Panthers at heart, it didnt happen for whatever reason(s) most it seems will never know, but you cannot blame him for not buying or pulling out of something that ultimately it seems was not going to be running after the 2023 season . The club now cannot expect to be viable as a stand alone sporting facility in the stadium but hopefully the consortium will have ideas and plans in the locker to increase the stadiums use and revenue past just a speedway team IF a return was to be forthcoming , but theres a big fight to be overcome first before any thoughts of a homecoming that could be years down the line, Buster will i have no doubt sell the licence to the consortium IF the Panthers return to race on a track somewhere in the future . As for houses around a noisey sporting facility its possible for both to exist you only have to look at football grounds including the Tottenham Hotspur Stadum and even the NSS in Manchester has houses in close proximity. It also now very clear that Buster can just let the Stock Cars run more meetings at the AFA without the speedway team and any hassle to him, so unfortunately its very possible the team at Lynn may stop running unless another new promotion runs the speedway there, which has to be a real worry for the Lynn fans now and with not a house in sight of the AFA.

2022 , Nice to see Ben Jones did his research on Peterborough Panthers !!!!

Its the way i see it anyway, its pointless the consortium paying Buster money for something that has no use or value unless theres a track to race on . Trouble is at the moment it could happen in months or it could be a case of it never happening.
