Novice at this you know.
  2. Yep - definately went to Heat 15!! I think there was a couple of Hornets fans there - apparently one of them won the raffle draw - might just have won sufficient to buy enough diesel to get back across the Norfolk border - doubt it would get 'em back to Wales though
  3. No problem - least I could do as you were good enough to post the details from the Premier League encounter this afternoon!! Didn't expect much more from the Senior Stars though to be honest Young Stars vs Hornets match would have been much closer without the first heat crash (45 min delay to see to both riders which is probably why the BSPA haven't caught up yet) - especially in view of how Jon Armstrong rode at Lynn for Dudley a couple of weeks ago . . . Bet he's really pleased he accepted the guest booking now - ending up in hospital and on his birthday as well. Hope its nothing too serious and both riders get well soon.

  5. Ended Stars 56 Hornets 35. Big crash in heat 1 - Tim Webster hooked up with Jon Armstrong going into the first bend first lap. Both went heavy into the fence and both withdrawn from the meeting with arm injuries. No further details but I think both went to hospital. Bikes wrecked too. Hornets struggled with the track early on but got better as the meeting went on and the track slickened off. Did well in view of the fact they only had five riders and both reserves had seven rides each. Heat 13, Hornets could only track one rider . . . .
  6. It was announced on Star TV on Monday that Olly Allen and Ty Proctor have agreed to ride for the opposition. No other rider have been confirmed as yet!
  7. There was a rumour floating around that he may have broken a bone in his hand. Let's hope it proves to be just that ~ a rumour! We can't afford to lose Tomas now at this crucial point of the season.
  8. Admittedly I'm about 15 miles from the track ~ but if it's anything like it is here in King's Lynn ~ it's not looking good for this meeting. It's absolutely tipping it down and shows no sign of letting off either. Don't know if anyone any closer can give a more cheerful update. I reckon I could be staying at home tonight instead!!
  9. We, and another group of friends, travelled in from Newport, as we have done for the past three or four years having never had to worry about what time the last train would be. On arriving at the station, notices were posted all over the doors as you left stating the last train to Newport would be 10:20. My friends actually asked a member of staff if the notices were correct and had it confirmed that the 10:20 was definately the last train. A bit tight we thought ~ lets hope there are not too many spills. As it worked out with the first race not starting until about 7:20 and the Final having to be re-run, we left the Millennium Stadium at 10:15, missing both the presentation and the fireworks, to make the mad dash back to the train station, only to be met by a huge queue and a 20 minute wait for a train!!! I have to say that this did spoil our enjoyment of the evening somewhat as this has never been a problem in the past. To also be told by station staff when waiting for the train ~ 'Oh, when there's an event on at the Stadium, we always have extra services laid on' beggers belief when earlier in the day the message was most definately 'no train after 10:20'!!!!! I sympathise with your problem but you can take comfort in knowing you were not alone in being affected by the rail networks' lack of organisation and planning!!!
