"Strange that the fans objecting to the booing of N Pedersen are Newcastle fans" I object and I am a Poole fan! I think the crowd are just a reflection of British society today anyway, part good and part who have no idea how to behave.

Exactly my experience too. The middle aged couple behind us behaved just as disgracefully as a crowd of young lads by us, so so fed up with the morons we always seem to be sat with

After all the anticipation what a let down!! A night full of incident and controversy, but strangely thats not what really disgusted me. Yes, the ref made ridiculous decisions robbing certain riders of any chance, and again the track wasnt conducive to really great racing . Felt desperate for Adams and B Pedersen but.. I think I have finally had it with the neanderthal elements of the crowd, sure we all have our likes and dislikes amongst the riders but to see vast numbers cheering and bellowing because Nicki P came off is just disgusting. These same sheep seem to blame him for every single incident, booing with monotonous regularity. I always thought Speedway fans a cut above football but no more, will still carry on going but it depresses me that these idiots are more prevalent every year.

We have been to major events at Birmingham and not been fleeced by the hotels though.

Well after 2 days of trying to book accommadation for the 2007 GP all I can say is roll on the time its elsewhere! The city hotels & guest houses are hiking their rates obscenely, we stayed at Jury's Inn this year, £85 per room, great. They are asking £195 per night and you have to stay 2 nights minimum! Its not even a great hotel, the guest houses are doing the same, much as I want to go, I am not paying the equivalent of a weeks holiday abroad to see one nights speedway. Cardiff is rip off central!!!
