Swedish Elitserien 2015, Round 5
barrow boy replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Just what I was thinking and was about to ask why when I saw your post. We saw the highlights of most races after each race and had to watch track grading and listen to endless Sam Ermolenko isms. What was wrong with heat 2 anyway. Perhaps the producer only wanted to show one reserves race? -
I think Sam Masters may now be a Leicester asset because it states on the Leicester Website that DH has entered the transfer market to sign him. If this is correct then he becomes a double downer and allows Leicester to have first claim on his services whenever Leicester & Edinburgh fixtures clash.

I think that one rider is definitely under threat and possibly another who may however be given a little more time to get back on the pace.

2015 Speedway Gp Challange

I do not think that Robert Lambert was eligible due to the licence he is operating under. In previous years hasn't the criteria for SGP qualification been taken from the finishing order in the most recent British Final. If this was still the case then Kyle Newman should not have been chosen because I do not think that he made last year's final. -
Leicester still have Greg Walasek missing and their guest rider options are minimal. Only Swindon & Belle Vue are not riding on this date and Craig Cook is the only rider who would be considered most suitable but Edinburgh are riding at Scunthorpe also. This match is however in the afternoon so it may be possible for him to ride for Leicester if he can be persuaded.

Warsaw Gp Saturday 18th April

Don't know if it's been mentioned before but how many times did the start girls line up in the wrong lanes? Just something else that went wrong. -
Leicester V Lakeside 26.04.15

I bet your promoters wish their team got the amount of support that Leicester's does. -
Any guesses what Leicester's line-up is going to be for this one?

Warsaw Gp Saturday 18th April

Mojo is there and she reports that only Nikki Pedersen ventured on to the track 30 minutes later than scheduled. Did a few solo laps and then noyhing. She further reports that the stadium is emptying and it looks like the practice is off. -
After their previous TV match at home both Kelvin & Nigel said in their closing comments that we've had a good night tonight and I thought that it was quite good when I watched it afterwards.

At last Leicester Lions are to feature in a live Sky TV match in June away to Coventry. I have been in touch with Sky during the past few weeks pointing out that it was not fair that Leicester were not getting a fairer share of such matches and it was about time that the powers that be realized this. Looks like it worked.

He didn't say that he would personally become involved. He said that more time must be spent on the passing of track conditions etc information between the management and the riders. Maybe he was simply implying that the present team and officials should ensure that this is in fact done.

Leicester V Belle Vue Saturday 11.04.15

No Zagar or Cook for Belle Vue on Saturday -
Most of the riders are just winding it on and then fighting to get around the bends. Are the bikes now too fast for tracks which have not been made bigger. Too many incidents now as a result of riders losing control when being put under pressure.

I am informed that there is a possibility that Jason Doyle may ride for Leicester on the 11th April and not be called up to ride for Australia in the next round of the Eurosport Best Pairs.

Lakeside V Leicester Elite League 27.03.15
barrow boy replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Lakeside's website lists their top 5 as AJ, MBJ, KN, EK,RL. I presume this is not the riding order as MBJ must be the second highest average. -
You are correct in that it is not a new rule but before the start of this season the BSPA reminded all riders and starting marshalls about it. Leicester are trying to do it right and it works better and looks more professional.

In order to protect the reserves it was agreed last season that if a 1 to 5 rider was injured and unable to complete his 4 rides his remaining rides could be taken by other team members. I was informed that if a rider got injured in his second ride then his remaining 2 rides could be taken by any 2 riders with lower averages but if he was injured in his first ride then it could be one above and 2 below. On Friday Leicester thought they could use Walasek, Wozniak and Josh Auty but after a complaint from Coventry that Walasek was not eligible the referee disallowed this. What is the rule? Does anybody know?

Coventry V Leicester 20 March Emb 2nd Leg

You are so correct regarding the racing At Peterborough. -
Not at all. As soon as the first rider is in place then the others are invited to follow. So the rider on the outside is the one that could get a bit longer but because all riders get a go off each start it doesn't really matter.
