Got it mixed up with the Premier League's new number 7 rule?

Matt Ford has expressed his desire to see both of his 2016 reserves in Kyle Newman & Adam Ellis upping their starting averages to make a play for places in Poole's 1 to 5. I thought that only the number 6 rider was allowed to do this with the number 7 not having a starting average and remaining at 7 for the whole season.

And finish the season as the Elite League's top rider. Would Craig Cook or any similarly dominant rider have been allowed to carry on riding Premier League as long as they wanted to? Is there anything in the rules which covers this?

Very true. Anyone new to the sport even if they have invested heavily in starting up a promotion always gets ganged up on by those who have been involved for many years and do not want any changes which might rock their boats.

I think there might be a problem with Symon Wozniak returning also as he was also finding it difficult to continue racing in England on Saturdays

Jason Doyle has said that he is adamant that he will not race in England on Saturdays in 2016. Leicester's owners have said that Saturday is the only viable night for them to race on and they will not change. They have also said that they will do everything they can to convince JD to stay. How they can do this therefore is a mystery. As it stands it looks odds on that they will have to replace their top rider.

Only because the riders concerned had to change their long ago made travel arrangements some of the costs of which I understand are being covered by some local fund raising.

Great that Peterborough won through and earned themselves another meaningful home fixture but in hindsight I did feel they were a tad fortunate that Sheffield's guest number one had an off night. If Sheffield had done the same as Peterborough and opted to use RR the outcome might have been different. If say they had got 8 points from RR they might just have been the team facing Edinburgh in the Semis. Even so it would have been a much closer call than it was.

If he is fit enough to ride for himself in the GPs then he should ride for his teams as well. Riders who do not should not be replaced by a rider having an equivalent average. In fact it would be fairer not to have a guest but use RR instead.

If he risks riding for himself in tonight's GP and he decides that he is not fit to ride for his team on Monday then I would hope that Belle Vue are asked to utilise RR instead of replacing him with a guest.

He didn't miss any GPs last season because Leicester's fixtures were arranged to accommodate him. It is his desire to do better on Sundays in Poland. I can understand this because in some of his Polish League matches that I have watched he has looked to be below par. He thinks getting to Poland earlier will benefit him.

There would not be an issue if teams missing a rider in dubious circumstances were not allowed a guest replacement but instead were asked to utilise the rider replacement facility. In the case of a team's number 1 rider being involved I would suggest that the number 2 rider be allowed to take 2 of his rides with one each being taken by any other 2 riders.

Referees seem to be overlooking or not noticing Hans Andersen's creeping starts. He is always slightly moving before the tapes go up.

If a rider moves but does not touch the tapes and is in the vision of another rider who reacts and touches the tapes. Should this be deemed to be a faulty start and not a disqualification?

You are indeed correct in saying that the current format is particularly hard on the heatleaders who have to ride against their counterparts too often. Perhaps next season there will be adjustments made,

Isn't it time though that he concentrated full time on competing with the big boys. After all he is a top 3 British rider, a World Cup competitor and has ridden in 2 GPs. He is also in my top 10 Elite riders on current form doing better than the likes of Harris, Lindgren, Batchelor & Nicholls.
