Who will be your reserve Thursday though? I won't be able to watch it unfortunately as i will be off to sunnier climes.But i really think this could go either way and should keep all supporters of Sheffield and Belle Vue on tenterhooks.

Agree on all those points above bar the bit about missing Wright will gift Sheffield the title.It may work out that way,but Wright has averaged a little under 6 this season at Sheffield.Don't you think Zagar,Brennan and your reserves could get 5/6pts between them?

I love the fact that both sets of fans are believing their teams are not going to win.I think it is finely balanced.It's quite conceivable to see Lambert,Kurtz and Zagar to get 10pts each from 5 rides each(or even more).That leaves 10pts to get from Brennan and the 2 reserves between them,from 5 rides each and 6 from one reserve all assuming Wright won't be fit of course.

Yes you are correct Bagpuss,i wasn't thinking clearly he is 4th in there averages.He would never be in their top three with Lambert,Zagar and Kurtz holding those 3 positions That would give Zagar and the reserves extra rides.

If Wright isn't fit for Thursday they can still bring in a decent guest from Lynn imo.Pickering or Worrall would be a decent shout.Etheridge they would have to go into the Championship or a R/S.But i don't think they would miss him anyway away from the NSS.

Think you can only use IRR if a rider hasn't had 3 rides.

So has Lambert now doubled Fricke's maximums this season from 2 matches.I think he has strengthened the Aces don't most of us agree.A class above anyone on show and that would have included Fricke too.Plus Lambert has done it against Sheffield and Ipswich.He didn't have the chance to race Peterborough ,Lynn or Wolves where he would have undoubtedly got more.

Using the logic they are the best because they finished top don't cut it for just 2 play off matches though.Using your logic Ipswich were the 2nd best team but Belle Vue destroyed them.So it isn't where you finished in the league that makes you favourites it's current form,and Belle Vue certainly have that momentum at the moment.So imo this is why you are favourites.
