  1. The reaction from the crowd was as if we had won the league as someone put it.It reminded me of the crowd many years ago when more went.Even I give a big old cheer, something I haven't done for a while, only a jeer towards a ref decision or something is what I am more use too. I'm not a fan of a superheat, last night excepted.Again if it works for you it's the best thing since sliced bread,if it doesn’t then you will be so anti.
  2. See him wandering around.Quite strange to see him back after quite a while away. Can we make anything of it after all what has happened. Buster was quite happy after the super heat, giving hugs out to Laguta and Klindt.
  3. There's obviously 2 reasons you won't have Saturday nights at Lynn, stock cars make the money on the weekend. And for Elite league racing Poland dictate pretty much every day of the week sadly.Even the lesser riders do Poland at the weekends.
  4. Pickering may go to Sheffield it all depends on the rules though.Im sure he will be back at Lynn if the rule which doesn't allow you to re introduce a rider back in your team goes to the "best interests of speedway",where that would allow him back at Lynn. Don't think where he lives has any bearing on where he goes, after all riders come from everywhere.
  5. Totally agree BB,some people get stuck in the past and think it was great then compared to now.But as you say the racing isn't much different at all.You got a lot of strung out races back in the so called good old days. The only thing different back then was the size of crowds and atmosphere that made it seem that much better imo. What else did we have to do in the 70's and 80''s,apart from the obvious. Was thre a baby boom in those decades
  6. Looked for you tonight BB,didn't see you.You must have nipped to the bar at the time I got there. Are there any facts that he come up with more than 10% of what he promised.
  7. There was indeed.People say the track is poor nowadays, mainly from people who don't go.It just proves, get quality riders here and that makes the difference to the racing. Those people will still bash the track without coming to see the likes of Laguta to see how it can be raced. We thought it was slick tonight and didn't seem an outside line,Laguta proved that was not the case.He was great to watch again, just wish he could make starts like he did when he became World Champion.
  8. That was a well deserved draw/win for the Stars. Nice to see Klindt do what is expected of him at last.Jorgensen done his job, think something must have happened after his 3rd ride as he didn't look too pleased.Poor old Tofty put weight on one leg to get up,then it seemed when he put weight on the other he had a problem as you could hear him scream.Edwards struggles at home.Kye was excellent, must be knackered as he is only use to 3 rides. His ht 14 win was crucial.Laguta imperious, apart from his 1st ride but he obviously knew what to put right. Some good racing to go with the result.Went home happy tonight, apart from the injury to Toft which I hope isn't too serious.
  9. And Buster. People know they can go an various social media sites, spout crap and not be known, that's why they do it.You don't very often see people confronting the likes of Buster etc because they would rather hide behind a keyboard.
  10. Bit of a shock waking up this morning to see this. I think it may have been common knowledge that Alex has had personal issues over the last year, but I thought he was getting through OK,unfortunately not it seems.Social media doesn't help in these matters I suppose when people will no doubt give you constant abuse on all fronts.Best for many would not to go on social media or to have skin as thick as an elephant to let it go over their head. We have seen a little abuse on here towards him,I don't know what goes on,on Facebook etc as I don't do it as I think it is all a load of cobblers. Hopefully the months will pass and things will get a little easier for him and we can welcome him back.
  11. I can remember Klindt before unfortunately, it was a few years ago mind.We know what he could and should be doing let's hope this score tonight gives him some belief in himself.
  12. If the return was still to come, the performance from this match would have still been the same. Rather see a scoreline like this than what we have got so far on the road.
  13. Klindt was below Jogensen before tonights match. So imo he could have been first for the chop, but he maybe saved on one score tonight. As i said i think they can all go,you just have to cut back on a few beers and chuck Brady some sponsor money for some other/better riders
  14. I agree re Jorgensen, but on the face of it imo,Klindt and Jakobsen have been far worse. They could all go,but can Lynn really go for wholesale changes. That is down to Brady and maybe Lyon to decide
  15. What do i know re Laguta.Even though we go away with a loss we can hold our heads up tonight by only going down by 4pts.
  16. Even though we have lost,it's our best score on the road Disappointed no Laguta in ht15.
  17. They could have done, but he has been poor imo.
  18. Can't believe some Ippo fans giving King stick again on here.11pts from 5 is a very good return.
  19. Didn't even see Gavan had tried using 2 tacs
  20. Loved watching Laguta last Thursday,he was excellent, and Bewley of course. But Laguta's gating isn't as good as when he became World Champion. If he can sharpen that up he would take some beating imo.
  21. I agree he is only a 2nd string and you get the up and down scores with them, although i do think he should be doing a little better.Klindt was signed as a no1 although not one obviously but should be doing a lot better. The same with Jakobsen,an Ekstraliga rider again we were expecting a lot more from him.
