Quite agree racing wasn't that good last night,possibly down to practice a few hours earlier or even the weather being too damn hot all week and not being able to get a good bit of moisture in the track,i dunno.They said Buster had been putting water down all day,apart from when they were practising of course.And after a few heats it became a bit dusty. Having said all of the above the atmosphere does it for me aswell and with 90% of the crowd cheering team GB on I love it.Took a couple of mates last night aswell one for the first time and he absolutely loved it.So it proves if you can get a good atmosphere at matches the racing doesn't always have to be brilliant to encourage people to come.Incidentally I probably wouldn't go to Cardiff if the atmosphere wasn't as good as it is as we have seen some poor ones there as well. No traffic problems for me neither,mind you I did come the back roads Come unstuck going home though got stuck in the middle of 5 bloody combines for about 3 miles before I could take another alternative route home

On the USA situation they didn't have an option but to put young Ruml in.Fisher was going to ride until he got injured.

I'm sure K.Lynn would have been bothered about the result.Because if they did beat Poole that may have dented there chances of a play-off place.Because I'm sure we would all rather face any other team rather than Poole in the play-offs. Poole have a classy side and I feel they would be the ones that could do the damage in the play-offs.

Without saving money this year on the fast track riders,how many teams would have started the season in the EL.It's obvious it was bought in to save money but without this where would the EL be.

True,but as that's gone we can now give it the title of Elite league champions.

That's not a bad idea,top 8 into the play-offs then at least all teams bar one should get some decent crowds at the end of the season.

On the flip side of the play-offs being good for the teams that qualify for them.Someone mentioned Wolves are on about strengthening up,normally this would cost a team more as they are getting a better quality rider in.If they don't make the play-offs they would lose money.So if 5 teams strengthened through the season and didn't make the play-offs in theory they would lose money and only 4 teams would gain. So while its good financially for 4 teams,it could be bad for the other 5 if they paid out more money to strive to be in the play-offs.

As I said at the start of the season some averages will be false this year.I agree some second strings have improved,but because they do have easier races now compared to previous seasons most of the second strings have inflated averages. What they (BSPA) will do with averages next year I don't know.

Rye House is off so Blackbird can now fly south.

He can only replace Newman at Poole and they won't do that I am sure.

I thought this on Monday when Michelsen got injured and he was replaced by a reserve.Although the rule may be different as Eastbourne were already using R/R.

I really hope not aswell.But we don't know what has been said or done time will tell.Hopefully things were just heat of the moment stuff and it will all be lovey dovey again soon.

Let's hope Rose don't get to upset and buckles down and carry on with his progression.Because if Lynn wanted to be ruthless Simon Lambert must be up for grabs now Birmingham have finished for the season. Hope things get sorted though as he has been good as our 2nd FTR this season.

Still is a FTR at Swindon as far as I am aware.Down in the averages as a FTR on the BSPA site and he is riding tonight for them.

You could say the same about every rider in the league then,as most have been beat by the so called lesser riders.This is speedway and nothing is a certainty.I bet most second strings in the league have been beat by the likes of Kerr,Blackbird,Garrity and Worrall the FTR's that shouldn't be beating them according to you.

Who's talking about him being the next Lee or Ward,the press the fans etc.I bet young Robert isn't,i say let him progress at his own rate and not what other people expect him to progress at. Personally I think he's doing ok,he's taken some good scalps this year including Stead and Korneliussen last night.

Thought Eastbourne could us R/R for Michelsen or can they not as they are already using R/R?

What gate was Doyle in 2 or 3.Another dodgy display from the Leicester start marshall.Should clearly have moved Doyle over a bit.

I left James Sargeant in the race in my programme.Unless I was to busy talking and missed a change in rider.

Rose returns and Watt is also down to ride.

These fans that turn up for the play-offs,why are they not at the league matches.Maybe the controlling powers should find out why. Would more fans turn up for league matches if they knew there team had a chance of winning the league without going through a ko stage at the end of the season?Or do they simply save their money and turn up for the play-offs(as it is now)if their team makes the top 4. Speedway wont survive with the just a few well attended matches at the end of the season,they need to get those fans back to the bread and butter of the league season.

This is more correct,but the bikes don't go.Even the engines don't get moved around as much as they use to. I remember about 20 years ago being in a car going to Germany with an engine in the boot,pretty sure we got quizzed about it at customs

So you think they move their bikes constantly do you.I think most riders bikes that ride in England are normally left in England.
