Swindon V Coventry 08/09/2014 Live On Sky
tellboy replied to Woz01's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
To be honest if Lynn or Poole finish top I think they both would choose each other as Swindon and Coventry are both the form teams at present. -
Eastbourne V Kings Lynn, 6th September.
tellboy replied to Edward Barrett's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well that was a welcome point.Never expected that with the guests we had. As Gordon Bennett said Lynn no doubt would have taken the win if NKI,Lambert and Rose were available. But those are the breaks I suppose. Shame all our problems have come at the business end of the season -
Lakeside V Poole (part 2) Friday 5th September.

I'm sure Lynn used this earlier in the season when Rose got injured. But clearly this loophole does need closing. -

Nicholls,Lemon & Morley in for NKI,R.Lambert and S.Lambert makes another loss for Lynn I think. As I have said before NKI is irreplaceable in this league. Plus Bridger for Michelsen makes Eastbourne slightly stronger imo as Bridger is riding very well at the moment. -

Coventry obviously didn't know the rule, but they haven't broken the rule so that is the difference between Coventry and Poole -

At the end of the day the buck stops with Coventry's management team, they should know the rules. It's irrelevant whether Priest would score 0 or 10.It's the rules. King's Lynn are not allowed to sign a rider to cover for Iversen because unfortunately that is a rule to. -

Hang on a minute,if any non Poole fan said any of the above you pair would be blasting them for having another go at Poole. But it's ok for you to basically take the p**s out of the rest of the fans. -
All the riders mentioned just goes to show how poor the EL is. We have the top rider in the averages so would be able to use anyone and names like Watt,Pedersen,Mads, and Stead are being mentioned. No disrespect to these riders but they are not in NKI's league. You would have thought the rules would allow a team who has a rider with a genuine injury to be replaced, especially as there is still 7 weeks to go until the end of the play-offs.
-
While I like Mads and his 110% he gives for Lynn,he is not in Zagar's league.I'm sure there will less meetings around Europe when the play-offs are about so Zagar may want a few more meetings to boost the coffers then. Having said all that I really want PUK fit for the play-offs.
-
I would be talking to Zagar now about the possibility of guesting for us in the play-offs.
-
According to the article on the Lynn website it does. But if Rose doesn't gain his fitness in time for the play-offs I would assume Lambert would be allowed to sign on for the rest of the season.

Do you think, over the last month I reckon Newman, but that's only my opinion.Couple of max's in the El and doing well in the PL. -

Isn't Newman,Wright and Starke available for Garrity.Although the list should change in September and I would expect Newman to go higher than Garrity. -

While I don't get why the Coventry promotion changed this if they have all those riders missing, but why would you have a rider 16th or below to replace Garrity? -
Wish it was like that every week, not the result by the way .It was great to get to the car so early even after a delayed start.Just feel most meetings nowadays seem a long drawn out affair when they don't need to be.Although it was aided last night by no re-starts,falls or any incidents to mind.Even Benji stayed on in all his rides (that's for the ones who remembered when he rode for Lynn)
-
How many meetings have you been to this season?I can only remember it happening twice this season maybe three times.Last night has to be put down to the traffic lights right near the stadium, once when Buster had to sort the track out as it rained just before the start. Anyway I got to my car before 21:10 earliest finish this season I think.First time I made it to work on time when I am on nights Even though we lost last night the meeting had some cracking races most notably ht13 and also ht15.But come the play-offs I think we need some gating practice the day before the matches, either we were just very poor from the gate or Poole were electric. You can't give those Poole boys a head start as most of them like our place.
