  1. Agree the crowds use to love all that.Maybe we need a bit more to get some of them back
  2. 9 paid 10 from 3 rides for Newman according to Pearson. When did he take a double pointer
  3. That's starting to grind on me now. As SCB said 2 injuries apiece.
  4. Bloody hell I thought we was going to be another man down.Worrall close to putting Schlein through the fence up at Belle Vue tonight
  5. Welcome back Shovlar. Whoops sorry should have read who the poster was first
  6. Isn't the GP system more like a league system where the best, more consistent rider wins over the course of the season. But you think the play-offs are ok,which is more like the old world finals(which you no longer like) where pretty much anyone can win if it is their night
  7. I think the fans of clubs finishing 2nd,3rd and 4th love the play-offs because they have a 2nd bite of the cherry. But the majority of the fans of the club finishing 1st probably less so.
  8. King's Lynn cant use Darcy(suspended)Andersen,Kildemand,Doyle(visa)Woffy?(hand)so that leaves Zagar(unlikely)Watt and Pedersen. So not really a great choice of number 1's to choose from. Same goes for Poole just Pedersen and Watt to choose from really. It's pretty abysmal really when the 2 top riders in the league may end up being replaced from other teams number 2's or 3's
  9. Why would his team force him to ride if he was still injured?Surely this would not benefit his team at all.
  10. This is correct maybe 6 months out of 7 then. Don't think teams act differently. In the past teams have always tried to improve their sides as the season unfolds.Because punters don't come to see a team losing. This has been happening in all the years I have been going to speedway well before the play-offs ever started
  11. I think if we get top spot it will give the Lynn fans the satisfaction of knowing they have been the best team over the course of the regular league season. In reality with what has happened in the last 2 weeks we are now 4th favourites to win the play-offs.
  12. If they are not involved in Sweden on Tuesday and wouldn't mind a guest booking,i would go for Kildemand,Batchelor,Zagar,Janowski or Andersen.Surely one of those would take an extra meeting.
  13. Play-offs could be over before they have began if Bjerre has got injured tonight.Hoping he has just bruised himself tonight but it did look a nasty incident.Just as he was getting back to what we know Kenny can do. So possibly the best team of the year gets the injuries at the wrong time and could lose everything. Having said that if Woffy gets himself fit he could guest for Kenny if he is not fit.
  14. Probably riding on the Tuesday as the Young Stars are riding at home on the Wednesday.
  15. 22nd September a double header with Coventry being the first to ride against Belle Vue. The night for Rob to convince Zagar to guest in the play-offs
  16. Nice to see the official BSPA website still doesn't have this down in the fixture list.
  17. Just had a quick look myself, unfortunately I could only find 4 scores of 8+2,8,10+2 and 2.I have taken away 2pts when he scored a 4 pointer, plus you don't include bonus points in averages and what I have is 5.894. Unfortunately as of yet we haven't been able to get a guest to fill NKI's boots. And looking at Harris's average around Leicester it may continue. I sincerely hope Harris proves me totally wrong.
  18. I see him guesting for Wolves and getting 2 points. And looking at his other scores I think his highest is 8 pts. edit :just see he got 10+2 back in April. Nothing less than that will do after all he has NKI's boots to fill. And he was exceptional around there earlier in the season.
  19. I was saying at work to mate I hope we get Cookie Thursday.Don't think he has had a bad meeting at Leicester yet. As we know it is mostly gating what counts there, and Cook can certainly do that. As for Harris and his gating, well it's not the best. If it was the other way around I reckon we could have definitely got the win.
  20. But This is why the powers should have all got their heads together and worked on it,but as I said they seemed sit back and chill out while accepting the Sky money on offer. The play-offs started in 2002 I believe and since then,Peterborough and Ipswich have dropped down a league,Oxford,Reading and Birmingham have gone by the wayside,so has the play-offs improved things? It's about time the BSPA started thinking outside of their comfy armchair and get their heads together and come up with something.Sky money won't last forever. Anyway off to work now
  21. Has this helped other teams that don't make the play-offs though. There seems to be a few teams in some kind of trouble.Birmingham gone,Eastbourne? I don't have the answer to a fix,but shouldn't the powers that be,be looking at ways to improve attendances at league meetings.Instead they seem to think, like you that we will have big crowds that will benefit 4 teams at the end of the season so everything is rosy. Well it's not rosy for teams like Belle Vue,Eastbourne and the others that haven't made it. Maybe Sky come in at the wrong time, and the promoters were happy to take the money that was on offer. This ensured they didn't have to think of ways to imrove the attendance levels.Well now the Sky money seems to be dwindling it is certainly tough times for some teams.
  22. Just got in and seen the result.Bloody hell are all the Swindon riders on Polish prepared engines
  23. Reckon he is keeping his average down, becomes quite valuable to other teams for guesting purposes, and for a team spot next season.
