  1. Don't think Star Fever has Poole tinted glasses on.
  2. I am going to contradict myself here on the Darcy thing,I think he enjoys the camera in front of him when he's winning so must also expect the camera to be there when he is losing under whatever circumstances. He's just got to live with it.On the other hand incidents like this really get the crowd going and is great for the atmosphere of the meeting.More incidents like this in may bring some fans back who knows. A friend of mine came for the first time and he loved that sort of thing it just gave him an excuse to boo the Aussies, and the time it looked like Woodward gave a hand gesture to the crowd. So while I think it's stupid I also think it's brilliant
  3. Quite agree racing wasn't that good last night, possibly down to practice a few hours earlier or even the weather being too damn hot all week and not being able to get a good bit of moisture in the track,i dunno. They said Buster had been putting water down all day, apart from when they were practising of course. And after a few heats it became a bit dusty. Having said all of the above the atmosphere does it for me aswell and with 90% of the crowd cheering team GB on I love it.Took a couple of mates last night aswell one for the first time and he absolutely loved it.So it proves if you can get a good atmosphere at matches the racing doesn't always have to be brilliant to encourage people to come.Incidentally I probably wouldn't go to Cardiff if the atmosphere wasn't as good as it is as we have seen some poor ones there as well. No traffic problems for me neither, mind you I did come the back roads Come unstuck going home though got stuck in the middle of 5 bloody combines for about 3 miles before I could take another alternative route home
  4. On the USA situation they didn't have an option but to put young Ruml in.Fisher was going to ride until he got injured.
  5. What a great GP so far,can we have every GP at Malilla please.Iversen had some balls in ht 8.
  6. Don't normally watch Polish speedway but thought I would give it a go on the little magic box on the tv.Managed to find it on LSHunter and watching it now on a 40inch
  7. Can't quite believe all the crap aimed at a 15 year old lad on here.So what if he said what he said. The lad is sure to think GB has turned there back on him, would he be where he is today if it wasn't for having those competitive meetings on the continent.Probably not. Can't believe, assuming we are mainly adults on here that a few of you have to slate a young lad who wants to make his way in the sport. At least he isn't out there doing what a lot of teenagers are doing. Oh and I love the comment about adjusting his starting average so Lynn would have to find a replacement, because King's Lynn could just replace him with yes you've got it Robert Lambert himself.
  8. Why would it take out four wages? The NL boys could be in demand so could get a higher points money. And at the end of the day there will always be the same amount of points up for grabs in a match. At present teams have to be paid on 90pts in a match regardless of who rides for who.The only way to bring costs down is to pay less per point.
  9. Yeah, enjoyed my travels to Dudley Wood, especially for the pork sarnies, gorgeous
  10. Quite looking forward to KL v Mildenhall with the tie nicely poised. Can't stop to watch the MDL as I have to be at work by 21:45 in Wisbech.
  11. He obviously has had his comitments abroad sorted early on,so why should he ride here and let the others down.I like his ambition especially by going abroad so he could get competitive racing from a young age.
  12. Was looking forward to going to this meeting, but with all the absences it has a feel of a normal EL meeting.Bit disappointed but if my daughter still wants to I will go,if she don't I won't simples.
  13. No I don't mean it is fair to do it that way. What I meant is if say Leicester's last meeting was called off and couldn't get the re-staging before the cut off date they would have been in sixth.
  14. To be fair though if you took Leicester's last match off so you had both ridden 23 matches each.Leicester would then be in the play-offs.Crazy eh.
  15. Don't forget he is still only a kid of 15 yrs old.Things he will learn in good time. How many kids do behave like this anyway, when he gets to 18,19,20yrs old then that would be the time to judge whether he's a spoilt brat or not .What I have seen of him this year he certainly has the talent, courage and speed to go further in the sport.Lets not knock our kids before they really get going in the sport they all need our encouragement.
  16. Personally thought it was a poor GP,but well done Tai within touching distance now if he keeps fit.
  17. I was there and well done Kerr for stepping in.It sounds like to me that you would let Bridger punch Lambert before anyone could step in.Kerr done the right thing and nipped it in the bud before it got well out of hand.
  18. Must admit didn't get Middlo's tactics tonight especially the Ben Barker one.We should have been 3 pts behind with 3 to go,but no lets go 6 behind with 3 to go.Expecting Batchelor,Ward and Woodward to get 3 between them and Harris and Tai to get 9.If you are only expecting the Aussies to pick up 3pts from the last 3 I would have been much happier seeing Bridger,Harris and Tai only having to pick up 6 pts.
  19. Wasn't it you that had a dig at Screamer for him saying Lynn couldn't beat Peterborough the other day.Now your saying the exact same thing here.Personally I think we can beat the the Aussies on the day if all goes well.
  20. Just watched the meeting. Was the track bad,or just the gulf in class of the different teams that made it look bad.Put Poland,Denmark, fully Fit Australia and a fully fit Sweden on the same track and you would have seen a completely different meeting.
  21. He maybe not at SWC level yet but he is good enough for team GB at the NA.Afterall his record of beating the likes of Nicholls,F.Lindgren,Harris and Holder x2 must stand him in good stead.
  22. First time i have seen Lambert ride since he was 10.And he was pretty awesome to say the least especially at such a young age. Some people are knocking him because he hasn't rode away yet,but that will come.I'm pretty sure he will be ok aswell. The race where him come from behind was pretty good too,he carried alot of speed going into bend 3 and where most riders would have drifted close to the fence he was able to stick it to the inside. His ability is beyond question and i sincerely hope the right people in speedway look after talent like this, not just Lambert but other British riders that may come through.Lets start getting back to where we once were in the speedway world.
  23. Well i will be coming tonight for my visit to the NL.Not really bothered who wins, just really interested in seeing how Robert Lambert goes.Remember watching him go around the NA when he was a 10 year old i think and he was pretty good then.
