Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 02/09/15
tellboy replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This is the problem with the EDR.We have struggled to get decent replacements in as there isn't really anyone available to Kerr's standard. The only ones who are,are above him in the list so can't be used.Probably Worrall would be ok but is unavailable for obvious reasons. Then I think you are only allowed to use them 4 times if I read it correctly.A big rethink for the EDR over the winter is needed.Good in principal but when injuries occur it makes it a mockery. -

For him I don't think it matters who he scores points for,as long as he brings home the ££££s. -

Sure it's a stroke of luck considering we probably can't replace him,and as of tomorrow his average drops by .75 -
Where have you seen he has binned us,by that you mean he isn't going to ride anymore here?If this is the case surely we can sign another rider to replace him even though it has gone by the date.

Aces Last Stand - Monmore Green 31/8

That's not the point and you know that.He was down for the poacher for a while, but dropped it for a guest booking at Belle Vue which could only have been booked Saturday night/Sunday morning. And lets not forget their were a lot of speedway fans there thinking they were going to see him. -

While this is true,he let people down at the Poacher yesterday who were expecting to see him race. -

I'm still pi**ed off with the situation, but I am still trying to get half a days holiday tomorrow night. As its bank holiday today it will be much harder to get.If it was sorted last week it would have been so much easier. -

Maybe as they are both missing their no1 it evens itself out.You would think being a Lynn home meeting they would probably just miss their rider very slightly more. He maybe thinking loads of ££££'s -

I was just going on what Flagrag said. On the Lynn website now,as you said no mention of Cook. And they had confirmation on Sunday night that Leicester could come this Tuesday. I am still peed off that they can arrange a match at such short notice.Surely this could have been sorted a few days after the rain off on Monday. -

I take it Lynn will be without Iversen then for this as Doyle will be missing. And Milik missing I assume as you say Cook is riding.A Belle Vue rider guesting is that right. What if they win at Wolves tomorrow, what will Cook do for Lynn -

I just hope they have cocked up on their website, but it definately has it down for Tuesday. Are Sweden riding Tuesday I think they have just entered the play-offs.Do they race the play-offs straight away? -
Just noticed the new date on the Lynn website.Absolutely peed off to be honest it only shows it on the fixtures not on the homepage,no headlines or nothing. In fact the main page is the Young Stars victory on Friday, with the next match Wednesday the 2nd which is the Young Stars v Kent Kings. Is it a cock up who knows. But to only find out today it looks like I will be missing my first home match of the season. Not a mention on the BSPA site nowhere.Absolutely ridiculous I think us fans should be shown a little bit more respect,or are we just expected to turn up given 2 days notice and that was through luck. How many of us knew before I put this on here.It will be 1 days notice to most if they read this tomorrow. Agree totally.Although its normally the day after when the adrenalin isn't pumping that you feel the full affects. I'm just peed off because I was looking forward to seeing Harris at the poacher today.

Think it's too late to make changes now, unless you are replacing an injured rider. So it could be Milik providing he is still inured.

King's Lynn V Swindon 9th Sept 19.45
tellboy replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thers a lot go on at the AFA.Its not just speedway you have all kinds of motor sports go on there. Is the Polish season over?Just imagine the outcry if we took on Swindon this Sunday with no Batchelor,Zengota,(Ward sadly due to injury) and Lynn with no Iversen,Bjerre and Milik. The same people would cry foul because of all the guests needed to replace those.I don't think its just as simple as saying a day and lets go for it there are so many hurdles in the way i'm afraid. If you want to go that way surely it would have to be 1 or 2 night racing for all, which would be another hurdle encountered -

tellboy replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Saying the weather has been kinder.King's Lynn have had 4 meetings called off this season, and unfortunate for them 3 have come in the last 4 weeks. We would have comfortably finished our season in plenty of time but you can't legislate for how unkind the weather has been recently. If your meetings are postponed early in the season it is easier to fit them in.But when the later ones get called off it is much harder to fit them in.So what do we suggest the league programme to finish at the beginning of August and then leave the rest of August for rain offs. -

tellboy replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Didn't Sky want the play offs introduced? If we didn't have the play offs we would have been able to run the league programme up until the end of October, like the good old days. You can remember them cant you Just nit picking here. You say run 2 meetings regularly every 2 weeks and it should all fit in nicely and would leave plenty of time for rain offs to be fitted in.Well from April 1st to Sept 9th is 24 weeks which every 2 weeks is 12 matches.Even though for some reason you like a dig at Lynn you have to commend them for fitting their first 12 matches in by August 19th .That on average is a match about every 1 week 6 days Why?League matches are just as important as the play-offs aren't they. -

Seems odd to confirm the 30th if not all clubs can run on that day.
