  1. What about if he's just not bothered about riding in the UK like other riders this year.
  2. Who's saying we are going into the new season without a true number one.Lets wait and see first,We are all getting our knickers in a twist before anyone has been announced. When someone is announced we can go from there.
  3. People are moaning and groaning about who we might get.Think we should wait and see who we get first before we can pass judgement.
  4. Do you think they will basically get Barker as direct replacement for Niels.Sure they wont do that to see the crowds go down almost immediately after losing the first few matches.
  5. I'm sure Lynn could easily complete their team, but I would expect you to moan even more .Like SL said would you be happy with Hougaard or that calibre of rider to complete the team.
  6. Skidder put it out there much more sensibly. Your comments most certainly got the arguments going. I'm not blinkered at all I am on no-ones side.I merely stated that the Swindon thread, you know the one about Swindon 2016 will now have some pages of arguments.I have made no comment whatsoever on the North situation.I will now leave this as it is so all the Swindon fans can have their thread back.
  7. Sorry you dangled the carrot in post 1366 so to me you instigated it. Why do I have the blinkers on,about what?
  8. Great bring up an old argument again which is likely to clog the Swindon thread up with a load of old bol**cks.Did you really need to do that
  9. That's exactly what it is,a guess on your behalf. Some of your posts seem strange to me and I'm not sure at this moment if you are someone else.
  10. There seems only a small pool of riders that seem willing to race here now.You mention Josh G but if he had signed for Leicester then Swindon would have been in the same situation. What you need is a bigger pool of riders willing to race.It seems to me the top riders will stay away unless a very good contract is presented to them.To which I don't blame any promoter for not offering money to which they cant afford.
  11. I done that to SL,mind you mine was more 90's and 2000's .The banter was better even between the supporters but with very little travelling folk now the banter just isn't there.Put all this with the some stupid H&S laws, the do-gooders where you have to be careful what you say, other European leagues and the current economic climate it just wont seem the same anyway.
  12. Would you come to every match then if Barker was in the team instead of a proper number 1? I think you will find 100% of the people want to be entertained but also 90% of those want to win also.If the team started losing home and away constantly you would see the crowd drop off quite a bit I think.I know if we weren't competitive I wouldn't book holidays for matches like I have done in previous seasons. %
  13. Whether Lambert ends up as number 1 or not we should still try to get the best number 1 possible at this moment. You should start with your strongest side possible. It could be the difference of being competitive or not.Even though I think Barker does give every effort I would prefer a proper number 1.
  14. Would think he would be able to make 2nd&30th May as they are two early starts for Scunthorpe, maybe also 29th August although that is a slightly later start for Scunthorpe.7th April11th,25 August are all home matches and who knows Lynn maybe able to change night to suit.
  15. Well at least Buster hasn't abused his position as some were assuming he might do in replacing Kerr
  16. Well as most people felt we should play by the book so to speak, this is probably the best other reserve we could come up with.We do need a very good number one though as you say to knock in big points every meeting.Wonder if they can persuade some top riders to do a month or two each.
  17. Certainly need a very good number 1 now,as close to the points limit we have left which is close to nine(8.81),assuming Lambert is a 3.00.Which he should be as he was in the second round of picks. We have the weakest reserve pairing in the league in my opinion.
  18. You are quite right he does give maximum effort when riding, just a shame he don't give maximum effort to keeping his machinery in tip top condition.Lets hope this year he does both.
  19. I'm not a fan of Bjerre particularly, but to call him rubbish is silly talk.Any bloke that gets on those bikes and can do sub 60 seconds are not rubbish.Whats the quickest you can go around in?.They all have balls of steel and I for take my hat to all riders that dare put a leg over a bike because I certainly wouldn't.
  20. Correct, but then all the talk would be about Lakeside and who they may or may not be getting instead of Blackbird. This is another reason the EL has to go to 1-2 night racing,to stop any double uppers,FTRs having fixtures for 2 clubs on any given night.
  21. I didn't say that Trees, your reading what I meant the wrong way.I was implying if Blackbird quit Lakeside and Kerr was still at Lynn then I agree Lakeside should be able to replace Blackbird on a like for like basis, like any club if their FTRs decide to quit before the season
  22. Yes I would be quite happy for Lakeside to use a non listed rider as long as he is British and to the same standard average wise as Blackbird the rider he would be replacing.I said it earlier in the thread and that includes all teams.
