I'm still not 100% sure this is JC. Thankyou Sky or whoever has fu**ed this fixture about,probably be another one I will miss now when it is re-arranged.

I know there wasn't,but at present probably S.Lambert would do.But as we have weak reserves we should have probably tried and built the team to its maximum points limit and not 2.5 under.I know people will now come and say but their is no-one who is willing to ride over here,but I am sure there is someone like Bjarne and a few others.

After seeing this result glad my manager didn't give me a nights holiday.Looks like I could be saving some holiday this year. Don't mind Lynn losing as long as they are competitive especially at home its a must.But to lose by 15 at home isn't good enough,no matter who they are riding. Reserves will cost us this season.I like Wilko as he battles so hard but he is definitely not a number 1 FTR in fact he is only at reserve in the PL that says it all really,while 5 other number 1 FTR's are heat leaders in the PL and the other 2 are 2nd strings.

Lovely weather.two well balanced sides should be a good match.Only thing that spoils it is I have to be at bloody work

Weather conditions do play a big part in the prep of a speedway track compared to a lot of sports though.Even if you have a lovely day to prepare it would still need a bit of TLC before the actual meeting with watering etc.Until all tracks are indoor I cant see any way around that . I wouldn't say any sport is constant action. I've been to a delayed kick off in a Champions League game to,delayed by 45 mins .Worked out well for me though as I was stuck on the motorway and just made it in time for the late kick off. Personally I don't think the crowds will come back no matter what entertainment is put on,simply because there so much to do now outside of speedway.When I was young I use to love it,but there was nothing for speedway to compete against then.Now with modern technology kids are happy to stay at home on their laptops,ipads and all sorts of gaming.

Why do people always seem to bring football against speedway.A football pitch for instance can be marked out days before a game.How many people can football clubs employ compared to speedway?Theres millions of pounds in football and probably just hundreds for many speedway clubs,if that. I have been to many PL football matches at the biggest club in the country and theres no pre-match entertainment,but as Trees said its the fans that make the atmosphere.If there were more fans with a bigger and better atmosphere I'm sure the riders will react to that to.

Hope he doesn't do any more damage if he does ride.Think it would be wise to let it heal first,but as we know some of these rider are hardy buggers.

Just saying what the rules indicate.We may well use Lambert at home anyway. I would say the number 9's primarily are to cover for injuries to your tier 2 riders,as your number 9's have to be tier two riders themselves.Incidentally looks like Lynn's team average has to include Lamberts average and not Rose's as he has the higher. So we can at the end of the day use Lambert or anyone below Wilko in the averages.But still only allowed to use guest EDR's 4 times.

Its a shame the meeting couldn't get going last night.I would imagine many fans wanting refunds as a lot of those there last night would purely be there as it was a big start of a new era for Belle Vue speedway,and they had a class field to go with it.Depending on when the meeting is restaged will the GP boys be there and it possibly wont be the opening meeting.This would I'm sure have a big impact on the crowd.

Must admit I only quickly went over the rules.Didn't see a mention that they had to use Lambert just because he has signed as a 2nd tier 2 rider.Looking at the rules it looks pretty much as last year.

Lets hope early suspicions are wrong.He's started the season well and will be a big miss at reserve for Lynn. Who can Lynn use as a guest,or will they just call on Lambert if Wilko is to miss any meetings.

Isn't that down to the ref to keep the meeting moving along?

Yes you are correct in that any other club could have signed him if it fit in with his schedule,i'm not denying that.I am just saying how crazy it has turned out that he has to ride as HL and Andersen as 2nd string.When they are both declared the other way around.

I know it is simple how they have done it.The crazy thing about this situation is you have Buzz declared in your line-up as 2nd string riding as HL and a HL declared in your line up riding at 2nd string.You cant tell me that isn't crazy.So in theory you have 4 HLs and 3 2nd strings in your 1-5 that's definately crazy. Don't worry Lynn have Lambert as 2nd string having to ride as a HL.But then we only have 2 HLs anyway.

The way I read it is the one with the higher MA goes into the 1-5 whether or not he's a tier 1 or tier 2 rider. 17.5.1 Only one EDR (the one with the highest MA) may move into a Team’s top 1-5. 17.5.2 Of the riders nominated for the meeting they will line up in the following positions a) The 1st, 2nd and 3rd riders (by MA) must ride at either #1 #3 or #5.The 4th and 5th riders (by MA) must ride at either #2 or #4. c) The 6th and 7th riders (by MA) must ride at #6 or #7. NB, only an EDR may ride at #7. Taken from the new rules.

The thing I find crazy about the Buzz situation is he has come in as a 2nd string but has to ride at a heat leader position. Think any of them can go into the 1-5 as long as it is only one of them.
