King's Lynn V Poole 27/4/16 7.30pm (skysports)
tellboy replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well with the weather forecast for rain and showers this week I guess the other shower(Sky)will be pulling the plug on the live coverage anytime soon. -
That's maybe what you get when you get two evenly balanced sides.Shame the people in control couldn't make every team in the league as equally balanced as one another then you may see more people going again. There was plenty of good races, but for me being a Lynn fan race of the night was Lambert in heat 15.Sluggish out of the gate but eventually caught and passed Wozniak entering turn 3 lap 2 or 3 and then on the outside turn 4 lap 4 managed to find the drive to pip Hougaard on the line to give Lynn the 5-1 they needed for a draw. We need more evenly balanced sides in the league and then you get meetings like this. Thought the track could have done with a sprinkle of water though, absolutely covered in dust from ht1 onwards.May have been worried about the weather but to be honest it didn't look like it was threatening to much rain.

Reading the programme Wednesday it looked like some changes were ahead before Schleins injury and Batchelors delayed return. It said basically they had a plan of what to do going forward mapped out in their minds, and were working things around Troy's return. But now with Troy not meant to be returning until the middle of May and Schleins injury its back to the drawing board as they said. Middle of May according to the programme Thursday.

I think it doesn't help neither with our team not really being that competitive against the stronger sides. Its ok riding the likes of Leicester,Coventry and Swindon should be tight affairs. But when you support a team you need them to be competitive at home as 95% of fans want to see their team win.I am one of those 95%,ok I would like to see good racing too of course but primarily I want to see my team win. Even though I am a peed of with it at the moment I will be at Leicester on Saturday which should be an even affair. And only £38 for 2 adults and two U18s,bargain. -

Well with this being on Sky and having to be at work by 9.45pm I may give this a miss.Would normally go to meetings when on nights, but with Lynn so weak against the might of Poole coupled with Sky and a possible later finish I may stay at home and watch it.Am I losing my appetite for speedway,i don't know but I seem not to be so enthusiastic as I use to be. -

Just a thought looking at the Leicester line-up.Say Klindt was to get injured while being at reserve, who would be able to replace him?As he is now the lowest reserve would it be someone form the 2nd tier with an average lower than himself. Or has the BSPA not thought of this scenario and will now have to come up with another rule.I think possibly the latter. -

You've made my day.Had to take a look at the Lions website for admission fees after seeing your quote and was pleasantly surprised to see I can take me my missus, daughter aged 17 and her boyfriend 16 all for £38.That would cost £62 at Lynn. Will be coming Saturday weather permitting -

Looking at the averages it should be Auty and Klindt at reserve. So who is it Klindt/Auty,Klindt/Starke or Starke/Auty at reserve?Guess we will find out Thursday. -
Apologies
-
Think we have to look at replacing Schlein first,as it looks like he will be out for some time.Maybe Bjarne for him?.Looked good in the Ben Fund.
-
Looks like he maybe out for quite a while looking at his injuries I would assume.Such a shame in a long list of injuries he seems to sustain.
-
Really don't get averages now.Schleins average has gone up despite him averaging well under 4 in his 4 matches this season. His 4 matches they got rid of must have been some seriously low scores.
-
The top riders very rarely do any team riding nowadays, which is a shame really as they should be able to do this. But most people think these riders are great. Some lesser likes try team riding and should be applauded for this.
-
Well the averages are low enough now to get Batchelor back in for NBJ.That would certainly make up for the possibly the weakest reserve pairing in the EL. You are right about Huckenbeck though has showed great promise, could we rest him a bit though and make sure he comes back on a nice low average next season
-
But wasn't the fixture list produced before Plymouth said they wouldn't be competing in the PL.So these fixtures were already in place when Plymouth were declared as racing this season. So no excuse really.
-
Wouldn't he have to replace Nicolaj Busk Jakobsen as he is in the top 5?
-
Well after reading that article, even though its a few years ago you can tell Ford is only interested in one thing.

Sadly this is what seems to win most matches now. -
The reserves should be the worse riders in your team, but with the race format the way it is they become the most relied upon for points scoring. Get back to the old format and the two lowest averaged riders will rightfully be at reserve.Just make teams have 2-3 British riders in their teams.

Lakeside V Poole Ela. 8/04/16
tellboy replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Got to agree with that statement. For Poole to only lose by 10 with Holder,Kurtz and Watt scoring 6 between them just shows that the reserves will have the main say in who wins the league again.
