  1. I thought I had heard every load of crap from Millard but he surpassed every thing tonight I had someone visiting me tonight who had never seen speedway before he said after heat 2 'who the hell is that idiot I've heard better bingo callers. I think it is time to do something before Sky lose the tv following. Can somebody find an E-Mail address at Sky that we can send our thoughts to, I am sure they don't realise just how bad he is. If any of us did our jobs like he does we would soon be looking for a new job. He is getting money without any form of guilt. Please letts get together on this before we all go mad. Thank god for Jonno he saved the Day again.
  2. Royal Loyal I did the track for Speedway After Stock Car Meeting I was Paid By The Speedway Promotor. I am not being disrespect full about the staff but Maybe their responsabilities out weighed their caperbilitiews They needed someone like Bob Dugard to control the workers so they did not waste their time. Perhaps as you say they worked hard but I believe they need leadership. Their worst enemy would clearly be Ole Olsen The Sven of Speedway. Last Year if you remember at the Sweedish GP they layed a complete new race surface in about an hour, agreed they did not have 2 knackered tracktors and a water cart.
  3. Yes for about 7 years and with Stock Cars
  4. I appeciaye you are a loyal royal but the practices are no excuse if they enough compitant staff to do the job insead of an anorak who coughed at the right time and got the job. Dont make excuses these problems can be over come at some track and some run 2 meetings one after anothe 30 races without that debacle.
  5. Well done the GB Lads But the main point about tonight must be the state of the track IT WAS A DISGRACE and someone should go down to Reading in the morning and find the track man and snap his white stick and shoot his guide dog. On both Sunday and Tuesday they had the same problems with the hot weather but they prepared good race surfaces. The only thing missing tonite was some arabs comming through the dust on camels. This disgrace was an insult to speedway and its supporters who paid good money to attend such meetings which they look forward to only to go home looking like people in a minstrel show. I noticed that as at the recent Oxford meeting none of the comentry team condemed the condisions, I bet Sam Chris and Lord Tatum would have had something to say if they had been riding. I sugges that everyone who has to have their clothes cleaned should send the reciepts for cleaning to BSI at Reading Speedway for a refund. If we cant do better than this cock up we do not deserve to be allocated any big events. This is not the first time we have seen an ill prepared track , If they are not capable of doing a track properly they should ask someone for help. Mr Possthulwaite of what ever it is shpould be ashamed and get the big wedge out of his back pocket and buy some shale, perhaps as he owns Reading he does not know what shale is because they dont have it there. So he should look at a video of Tuesdays meeting to see what it is. If they don't put this right for Saturday Reading should stop all these fancy adverts on Sky for their meetings because no one will want to go and give BSI their cash.
  6. Am I mistaken but was the start girl in blue a part time Belly Dancer She was very ample in the said Area Where was the Dream Girl Sophie? with out her it was a very dull night.
  7. I remember back in 1974 Long Eaton did all the distance matches in a coach. A local firm called Boydens took the front 10 pairs of seats out and bolted rings to the seat brackets to fasten the bikes to. When we went to the old Weymouth we stopped at a services on the way back and the driver could not restart the coach so we all bailed out and pushed it 200yrds plus to bump start it. On another trip we went to one of the Glasgow tracks and the driver parked it on the top of the banking as it was raining and the Long Eaton supporters watched from the coach. When the meeting was over everyone was loaded into the bus with the bikes when suddenly the bus started to sink into the bank and if it wasn't for a quick thinking tractor driver we would have ended up like the coach in the Italian Job. Happy Days. (We lost)
