  1. Mike Ferreira and Denzil Kent paired up a few times for Canterbury.
  2. Well, neither can speak English...
  3. Do you ever think about checking Speedway Researcher, Steve? No to Seur and Koppe. Steman spent several weeks at No. 5 - with R/R for Kroeze at No. 4! They were finally due to ride together in Heat 8 - and were both replaced by tac subs! They finally paired up in the reserve berths, and scored two 5-1's in their two home meetings...
  4. Should be an interesting finish, with the current Top 3 all going off Gate 4 in their last rides...
  5. Sorry to break the news to you, but life isn't fair... So, it's okay for the British Final to be "unfair". but not the World Championship because it favours a rider who couldn't win otherwise?
  6. You can't have one rule for one for another; THAT is unfair... PS it isn't unfair, just because YOU think so...
  7. Is it perfect? No. Is it unfair? No. I didn't see you whining about how unfair it was to hold the British Final at the NSS...
  8. Totally irrelevant, according to iainb. It's so unfair; it's just a ploy to get a Polish world champ, 'cos Zmarzlik isn't good enough to win on merit...
  9. I remember the big deal made when Yeatesy made the British Final!
  10. I heard the future of British speedway is pretty black, though?
  11. Well, it was on a Wednesday, and I don't think that Wednesdays are that much better than Mondays. I went to several British Finals on a Wednesday, and they all had WAY more than 2000 people. Even were it shown on live TV, the place would have been packed. Maybe a diluted lineup would have had an effect, but realistically, would Woffinden and Lambert had that much of an effect at the NSS? Back in the day, people attended as much for the occasion, as they did for the interest in who was riding...
  12. And I watched the 1974 British Final on YouTube last night, and Coventry was packed to the rafters...
  13. FINALLY!!! Someone who sees the big picture! One of the biggest problems on this forum is fans who want everything to suit them, regardless of feasibility and viability. Barry Bishop is doing what it takes to be a success, REGARDLESS of what some fans (who are living in the past) want.
  14. They tried their best to give us a reasonable season. If that involves six GP's in Poland, then tough titties. If we could only have three or four meetings this year - because of Covid - then that wouldn't be worth it.
