Ah!!! I was a little surprised to see Pander in there, particularly knowing that he had those injuries. Of course, Ronnie Moore missed most of the 1960's too, but he still did enough the rest of the time to warrant his place. I know much of McKinlay's success came in domestic events, but his averages clearly show he had the beating of most of his opponents. I just would have expected him in there, Thanks.

What is confusing about my question, Mr Hyam?
-
Where does Ken McKinlay end up in the 60's?
-
That is unbelievable. R.I.P. mate
-
I was agreeing with you, but okay, NEARLY everyone! We see it on here all the time, "if, if, if..."
-
The problem is that everyone is convinced that they KNOW what would have happened. What we have to do is judge things by what happened, and not what might have happened. Take Tommy Jansson. Everyone says that he would have been a world champion, but he would still have been facing Collins, Lee, Mauger, Olsen etc, and then Penhall, Gundersen, and Nielsen. Nobody can say for certain...
-
He probably threatened Ken to make sure he got the lot!
-
I agree 100%. When you look at his remarkable consistency, he deserves to be included far more than riders like Hancock and Pedersen.
-
Have to agree with you. I'm pleased you mentioned Crump, as he certainly warrants consideration...
-
There will always be question marks... I just have a problem with people who refuse to accept how good someone was BECAUSE they retired early...
-
When you are looking for the absolute best, why would we need more scope? As Grachan says, it is a rule of thumb rather than something set in stone. However, most people would agree that a four-time Champ is better than a two-time champ.
-
I would tend to go for Olsen; possibly Gundersen...
-
Have you never heard of the detergent "Bold"? It was a joke - and a very clever one, if you ask me...
-
What is wrong with you, John? I see you made a post on there claiming that "WE are under attack" by posters on the BSF. That is a total lie; the ONLY attacks are aimed at your child-like behaviour. Nobody on here has any issue with the FB group or its members. Keep posting and reposting the same link is ridiculous, and as a reminder, the BSF guidelines state: "Please do not use the forum to advertise competing message boards or websites." Yet you are clearly making it a "competing website"!

I just find it sad when you have to enforce rules because one person constantly refuses to toe the line...
-
When you start acting like an adult, and not as a 6-year-old, people might respect you a little more.
-
You really shouldn't be allowed out in public sometimes...
-
He wants to be heard...

I have defended you on many occasions, both publicly and privately. I have tried to help you, with information and technologically. You wonder why people mock you and criticise you, and I have tried to explain. You just need to act like a normal person, John. You need to stop treating us all like idiots. You need to stop wasting your time - and our time - with pointless projects. You need to stop rehashing things over and over. You need to stop constantly contradicting yourself. You need to remember that you are not our superior. You need to stop acting like a lifelong speedway fan when you are not. Your love and knowledge of speedway expired in the 1950's. If you want to provide any kind of service to the speedway community, then just stick to the era and riders about which you DO have knowledge. And FFS, John, TALK to people instead of just posting links - particularly when it comes to self-promotion. I don't think I can be any fairer that that - or more polite than that.
-
Oh, it's okay; I know how good he was. I saw him race many times. I just wondered if you knew how to find out how good he was. Google is a wonderful tool.
-
Right, we know you didn't know. Despite the fact that we all knew who it was - and the fact that you didn't need to do any research! It said it underneath... Why the need to start a new Rye House group? Why the need to start a new Rye House group dedicated to "activities" at the track, when all you have done is post links - mostly to YOUR groups and websites? Why the need to start a new Rye House group when you are happy to boast that you haven't been there in 60 years, and that the last time you went, you left because you were bored? Why the need to start a new Rye House group when you basically know nothing about the team or riders? These are genuine questions, John.
-
Was he any good?
-
Why did you say you didn't care, when you are supposedly trying to promote the "activities" at Rye House?
-
Who did Karl Fiala ride for?
-
Why are you so involved in something you don't care about, aren't interested in promoting, and are happy to tell the world that last time you went there, you left because you were bored? Then you wonder why people mock you?
