  1. I just find it sad when you have to enforce rules because one person constantly refuses to toe the line...
  2. When you start acting like an adult, and not as a 6-year-old, people might respect you a little more.
  3. You really shouldn't be allowed out in public sometimes...
  4. I have defended you on many occasions, both publicly and privately. I have tried to help you, with information and technologically. You wonder why people mock you and criticise you, and I have tried to explain. You just need to act like a normal person, John. You need to stop treating us all like idiots. You need to stop wasting your time - and our time - with pointless projects. You need to stop rehashing things over and over. You need to stop constantly contradicting yourself. You need to remember that you are not our superior. You need to stop acting like a lifelong speedway fan when you are not. Your love and knowledge of speedway expired in the 1950's. If you want to provide any kind of service to the speedway community, then just stick to the era and riders about which you DO have knowledge. And FFS, John, TALK to people instead of just posting links - particularly when it comes to self-promotion. I don't think I can be any fairer that that - or more polite than that.
  5. Oh, it's okay; I know how good he was. I saw him race many times. I just wondered if you knew how to find out how good he was. Google is a wonderful tool.
  6. Right, we know you didn't know. Despite the fact that we all knew who it was - and the fact that you didn't need to do any research! It said it underneath... Why the need to start a new Rye House group? Why the need to start a new Rye House group dedicated to "activities" at the track, when all you have done is post links - mostly to YOUR groups and websites? Why the need to start a new Rye House group when you are happy to boast that you haven't been there in 60 years, and that the last time you went, you left because you were bored? Why the need to start a new Rye House group when you basically know nothing about the team or riders? These are genuine questions, John.
  7. Why did you say you didn't care, when you are supposedly trying to promote the "activities" at Rye House?
  8. Why are you so involved in something you don't care about, aren't interested in promoting, and are happy to tell the world that last time you went there, you left because you were bored? Then you wonder why people mock you?
  9. Says it all, doesn't it? That is the extent of your "memories" of the place... It was still a training track then. You probably aren't even aware that the Rockets were National League champions, are you? You post a photo of a Rye House legend, yet you probably don't know who I'm talking about, do you? You've probably never heard of him even... I've told you before, STICK TO WHAT YOU KNOW!
  10. "Admin"? Well, he has posted some links...
  11. What are you expecting to happen, John? Posting a couple of pics, and links to other groups and websites is going to do absolutely nothing. If it truly is dedicated to "activities", SAY SOMETHING!
  12. I saw Nordin a few times, and I remember seeing Toby at Wembley in 69 (only two races, mind you). Sexton was one I wanted to see make it to the UK..
  13. You really did miss a lot! Admittedly, a lot of them, I only saw them at the end of their careers, but I still managed to see them in action.
  14. But you just asked the name! If you Googled it correctly, you would have seen that it was Little Missenden. You want to get a life? Go play with some trains!
  15. Um, go back and read what I said, Steve!!!
  16. That is my point! The first couple of comments on this thread made it seem like Simmo was clearly the better of the two, but for me, it is nowhere as clear cut as some may feel. Bettsy did have a pretty impressive record...
  17. i get that, but it depends on whether "returning" means visiting, or re-settling in the UK. Of course, the same applies to Dave Gifford. I believe Bob represented GB in the 1964 World Final, so I doubt he would have become naturalised that quickly. I can't find a date...
  18. Yes, but he never returned from New Zealand...
  19. We were too. Then we'd go to The Crown to see Ron, and play darts.
  20. Fat better than having multiple posts all stemming from the same thing, eh?
  21. You are correct... I've always maintained that domestically, Eric Boocock was just as good as Ivan or Barry, but he just never did it internationally.
