  1. Nope, he's not forgotten, John. Nor are Peter Tarrant, Kerry Gray, or Glen Baxter...
  2. Why don't you say how you really feel, Steve?
  3. Why do you create a Facebook group on a subject about which you know nothing? They are all well-known Rye House riders, John!
  4. Well, that IS business as usual!
  5. Why do you just insist on posting links? I keep telling you that you should TALK to people! Tell them that Peter Tarrant was an excellent dart player. Or discuss how spectacular Kerry Gray was. Or your memories of the lively Glen Baxter.
  6. Just problems for everybody else...
  7. The group is not even designed to reflect "happenings" at Rye House; it is a place for people to share memories, and a place to post links. Anyway, why are you talking to me here, but when I ask you genuine questions, you are just bloody ignorant and totally ignore me?
  8. It has absolutely nothing to do with "happenings" at Rye House. It is a group where YOU basically just share a few photos, and post links to your websites/pages.
  9. For some reason, Gote was often overlooked when the "top" riders were being discussed. When you look at his record, it was pretty damn impressive!
  10. So, you're not easy, but you're cheap???
  11. Ah!!! I was a little surprised to see Pander in there, particularly knowing that he had those injuries. Of course, Ronnie Moore missed most of the 1960's too, but he still did enough the rest of the time to warrant his place. I know much of McKinlay's success came in domestic events, but his averages clearly show he had the beating of most of his opponents. I just would have expected him in there, Thanks.
  12. What is confusing about my question, Mr Hyam?
  13. Where does Ken McKinlay end up in the 60's?
  14. That is unbelievable. R.I.P. mate
  15. I was agreeing with you, but okay, NEARLY everyone! We see it on here all the time, "if, if, if..."
  16. The problem is that everyone is convinced that they KNOW what would have happened. What we have to do is judge things by what happened, and not what might have happened. Take Tommy Jansson. Everyone says that he would have been a world champion, but he would still have been facing Collins, Lee, Mauger, Olsen etc, and then Penhall, Gundersen, and Nielsen. Nobody can say for certain...
  17. He probably threatened Ken to make sure he got the lot!
  18. I agree 100%. When you look at his remarkable consistency, he deserves to be included far more than riders like Hancock and Pedersen.
  19. Have to agree with you. I'm pleased you mentioned Crump, as he certainly warrants consideration...
  20. There will always be question marks... I just have a problem with people who refuse to accept how good someone was BECAUSE they retired early...
  21. When you are looking for the absolute best, why would we need more scope? As Grachan says, it is a rule of thumb rather than something set in stone. However, most people would agree that a four-time Champ is better than a two-time champ.
  22. I would tend to go for Olsen; possibly Gundersen...
  23. Have you never heard of the detergent "Bold"? It was a joke - and a very clever one, if you ask me...
  24. What is wrong with you, John? I see you made a post on there claiming that "WE are under attack" by posters on the BSF. That is a total lie; the ONLY attacks are aimed at your child-like behaviour. Nobody on here has any issue with the FB group or its members. Keep posting and reposting the same link is ridiculous, and as a reminder, the BSF guidelines state: "Please do not use the forum to advertise competing message boards or websites." Yet you are clearly making it a "competing website"!
