  1. I didn't "conveniently" leave out grass-track; I simply tried to show you that I focus on solos, so why should grass-track be any different? There WAS a clear reason; he wasn't killed in a speedway accident, and didn't lose his life during his speedway career. Yes, I have included Alf Bottoms, even though he was retired, but it's not unusual for riders who have only been retired a year or two to return to the track. I feel that I am allowed to use my discretion when necessary.
  2. I never said it stated "solos only". I said it was designed for solos only. Speedway, long-track, and ice-racing (as mentioned) are "solos" sports.
  3. It doesn't matter how many times you have recruited, I am not a liar. It actually happened, and there are many similar cases over here. Stop acting like God...
  4. Agree 100%. His average from his completed rides would be a lot higher!
  5. That's a pretty crappy comment, don't you think? 1) The rules are posted at the top of the page. 2) The rules have NEVER changed. The site was only ever designed to represent solos. Hence no trace of sidecar fatalities. 3) It's MY site, and I make the rules. If you want to start one that includes people you wish, please feel free.
  6. He actually won a fair percentage of his races - when he didn't fall or break the tapes... You never knew what to expect from him!
  7. Not just in the UK; I myself have been accused of "white privilege" on several occasions. A few years ago, a mate of mine applied for a job at a university. He had all the qualifications, and would have been a perfect fit. He didn't get it, and they didn't fill the position. Why? Because they didn't receive enough applications from minorities! How is that "white privilege"? Of course it's wrong to be denied a job because you're not white - but why is it not wrong to be denied one because you are? Particularly when EVERYONE has the same opportunity to apply?
  8. Please note that it is all solos, not sidecars.
  9. Why is my comment "unfounded"? You don't know many riders from the last 50 years, and you admit that you don't follow the sport now. Why should I think you would know someone like Danny Ayres?
  10. I'm sure he has never heard of Danny, so that probably won't mean anything to him.
  11. I entered three about a month ago. It was for Johann Ammer, Arthur Green, and Barry Sams. I get people emailing me info.
  12. Thank you! Martin Luther King Jr. wanted integration; for everyone to be treated the same. These days, it's like everybody wants to keep us segrated by by applying meaningless and insulting tags on everyone and everything.
  13. Nope, he's not forgotten, John. Nor are Peter Tarrant, Kerry Gray, or Glen Baxter...
  14. Why don't you say how you really feel, Steve?
  15. Why do you create a Facebook group on a subject about which you know nothing? They are all well-known Rye House riders, John!
  16. Well, that IS business as usual!
  17. Why do you just insist on posting links? I keep telling you that you should TALK to people! Tell them that Peter Tarrant was an excellent dart player. Or discuss how spectacular Kerry Gray was. Or your memories of the lively Glen Baxter.
  18. Just problems for everybody else...
  19. The group is not even designed to reflect "happenings" at Rye House; it is a place for people to share memories, and a place to post links. Anyway, why are you talking to me here, but when I ask you genuine questions, you are just bloody ignorant and totally ignore me?
  20. It has absolutely nothing to do with "happenings" at Rye House. It is a group where YOU basically just share a few photos, and post links to your websites/pages.
  21. For some reason, Gote was often overlooked when the "top" riders were being discussed. When you look at his record, it was pretty damn impressive!
  22. So, you're not easy, but you're cheap???
