  1. Well, I checked it out, and under "Requests for Help", it said they wanted info on Charles "Ballisent". Underneath that, it said they wanted info on Charles "Bellisent". Which one is correct, or could it be Charles "Bullisent"?
  2. NO THEY WERE NOT! How many times have you been told about this? They are simply an attempt to disrupt the forum, and annoy people...
  3. This is on the wrong thread - unless you just want to go ahead and paste the link onto EVERY thread on the BSF?

    Fave Progs

I loved those! In my parents' scrapbooks, there are dozens of the old cartoons and caricatures.
  5. What saddens me is that he seems to be PROUD of acting that way...
  6. Moving on from the Memorabiiia thread, I'd like to narrow it down a little... Obviously, many of you have a wonderful collection of programmes, so what are your favourites? Unfortunately, my parents got rid of a bunch of ours. Sad thing is that they were mostly from the 50's and 60's, including several World Final progs (such as Malmo '61). Of the ones I've collected, the ones that mean the most are: Wimbledon vs Swindon (May 27, 1976). This was the week after Tommy was killed, and was the meeting that actually got me going to speedway again. The previous meeting I'd attended was the 1975 Laurels, which Tommy won. European Junior Championship 1984 (King's Lynn). I managed to get it autographed by Jozef Petrikovics and Oleg Volochov! However, my main memory was Leif Wahlmann's tragedy, and his remains the only fatal crash I have seen. 1969 World Final. This was the first World Final I attended, and I still remember it like yesterday...
  7. Because he is John Hyam?
  8. And that's unusual how? To be honest, I would have thought it was better to be remembered as a respected speedway journalist rather than as a moronic, insulting troll intent on acting like a child...
  9. This post appears to abide with current debate taking place on YEARS GONE BY?
  10. No it doesn't - regardless of how many times you repost the same nonsense.
  11. Not as funny as a punch in the throat...
  12. I'll tell you, as one of the only people on here who has tolerated him - and constantly tried to help him - I have just about had it. I just can't understand someone of his age acting like a 10-year-old, breaking every rule in the book, and making everything about HIM. If I did delete this thread 1) it would make me like him, and 2), he would troll all the other threads trying to make them all about him...
  13. AND STOP QUOTING MULTIPLE POSTS! I SHOWED YOU THAT IN THE FORUM GUIDELINES!
  14. You do realise that this forum is NOT designed to advertise YOU, don't you? That is considered "spamming"...
  15. Guess what? After promoting "Look, it's all about me!" again, someone has started deleting posts again...
  16. Yeah, I don't have too many biographies, but that is a good one...
  17. You have to remember that John trawls through every thread on here just to make sure that he comments on EVERY thread. I think he thinks he will win a prize or something...
  18. No, it doesn't. I wanted to discover people's favourite memorabilia. Crewe King wants to acquire memorabilia. Two very different things...
  19. I asked for people to name their favourite memorabilia. NOT ONCE did I ask for people to tell me that they didn't have any memorabilia...
  20. Then your comment isn't really relevant to the thread then, is it?
  21. Try to tell the kids of today about rosettes, year bars, and sun visors, and they won't believe you...
  22. Seeing a discussion on another thread about an old 'Ammers t-shirt, what is your fave old speedway memorabilia? I have an old Wimbledon scarf. Nothing fancy or printed, just a hand-knitted red and yellow scarf. What makes it special is that it was given to me as a kid by Art Maidment, Cyril's brother. It is well over 50 years old...
  23. There's a copy available on abebooks - for over $500...

    Bonny Good

If he did "emigrate", he never did it permanently, as he died in Devizes.
