  1. Seriously though, you were right (and I hated saying that)! This isn't a classic, but the racing has been decent, and has certainly been better than some recent efforts. No, it wasn't great early on, but that can be blamed on the rain. Again, it has been far superior to most World Finals...
  2. You do realise that there is time to type a sentence or two between races, don't you???
  3. Still a lot better than the vast majority of World Finals - and we have proof of that...
  4. Is that what you're interested in? Or are you just interested in complaining because we can't control the weather?
  5. I just love how, every couple of weeks during the summer, the same mob surface on here to complain about EVERY GP - yet they still insist on watching (and having their say).
  6. When you get rain like that, there is no magic wand you can wave; you have to RIDE the track into better shape, and that takes a few races.
  7. I've often said that because the tracks need a few races to settle, juniors should do a bunch of laps before the racing starts. With the weather today, I really think that would have helped...
  8. Could make it interesting - as well as boring... Will Mr. Morris want to water the track?
  9. Something weird going on, eh? There are a bunch of other 'Look at Life' documentaries on YouTube, but not that one.
  10. Wow! I wish I could watch that... EDIT: It looks like there are several showings of the documentary - although it doesn't show the one listed! https://tv24.co.uk/p/look-at-life-riding-it-rough-gyinwc And there are compilation DVD's available...
  11. Yeah, I forgot 'Stars'... Still, you can't beat Doncaster. Two years, two names, two designs/colours, and not one rider appearing in both years!
  12. Ah, yes! Well spotted! Panthers was the only one I'm not familiar with...
  13. Not sure why I thought of this, but which British teams have had the most nicknames? Sunderland were the Saints and Gladiators, but I know that Oxford were the Cheetahs, Rebels, and poxy Silver Machine. Long Eaton may have the record as Rangers, Archers, Invaders, and "Nottingham" Outlaws... Any ideas?
