  1. The only one I would put ahead of him is Gollob...
  2. Nah, not like basketball. These guys have bigger balls!
  3. Say what you will, but with three heats to go in a 184 race season, and there are still three possible World Champions. Lot to be said for that...
  4. You surprise me. You hadn't mentioned that before, Steve!
  5. Should have been even better. Too much water...
  6. As Pearson and Tatum have said, he would have been well clear by now...
  7. Worst thing is that it was fine at the start, and they have just continued to mess it up through the meeting..
  8. Who the hell was that in yellow, and why did Lindback not ride???
  9. Yeah, I don't get all this water going down. Not like those dusty summer days at White City...
  10. Over the years, there have been a lot of changes made that didn't need to be (and weren't beneficial), but I certainly don't let poxy things like the "Joker" stop me from watching and enjoying racing... Just remember, these people refuse to watch, yet still claim they are "speedway fans"!
  11. I haven't checked, but you should be able to check it yourself on Speedway Researcher. I think there have been multiple occasions where all seven on one team won a race (if I remember "Seery's Statistics" correctly).
  12. And another fart stain... Sorry, I missed that one!
  13. Different systems are - different. They are the same for ALL riders competing. A system used as a "qualifier" means that at the next stage, everyone starts from scratch. Again, everyone knows it, and it's the same for everyone. No system is - or will be - perfect.
  14. Along with Lindback, holding GP's in Poland just for the benefit of Zmarzlik, Pearson and Tatum, Zmarzlik, track preparation, Iversen, camera work... Have I missed anything, Shov???
  15. You are clearly confused. Just because it wasn't won with 10 points doesn't mean it wasn't possible. An individual GP is not a World Final. Scoring seven points in one GP won't make you World Champion; it is points accumulation over a whole season. Seven points will not even win you a GP; you need a minimum of five points on top of that seven to get you a win. A GP win requires SEVEN races, not just the first five.
  16. I'm not getting confused. 1) Regardless of what you may think, the first 20 heats of a GP are now the equivalent of qualifying rounds. 2) in the World Final itself, it was possible to win a World Championship on 10 points. More than that, it was possible to become World Champion without winning a single race during the season 3) Just a reminder, using the GP system from last year, it was possible for a rider to win EVERY GP, yet not finish in the Top 8 standings at the end of the year. No system is perfect, and just because something CAN happen doesn't mean it will...
  17. It's not just the rain; tracks often take a few races to get into decent condition. As I've said many times, put some juniors out for half an hour before the meeting, and the tracks will be so much better from the start.
  18. Again, the old World Final system was just as flawed. You could go the whole Championship without dropping a point, and one ride in the final could cost you everything...
