  1. no promoters are valued by promoters, although they only seem to value themselves and not other promoters. not replied to me either, sent it after a KL fan told me it was the to get my query answered, oh well
  2. Agree, its getting really boring not knowing the rules for the "super 7" events
  3. Not more unwritten rules for the super 7s, unwritten so they can be altered if it doesnt work out according to expectations of course.
  4. Well a week has passed and no word from the BSPA about the teams for the restaging, what other sport would have a governing body that stays so quiet on such an important subject. the fans need to know what is happening but once again othing, so far the "super 7s" have been a complete farce, when will theBSPA learn that fans are important and like to know what is happening
  5. The final line up has been decided, wrongly i must admit, so it should remain as it should have been on Sunday, however there is once more a deafening silence from the BSPA on the subject. why does that not surprise me
  6. according to the website dave mcallens riding, but then so is jamie birkinshaw and stuart robson, but they have managed to put jon armstrong in the birmingham line up
  7. So does anyone know what the criteria is for the number of meetings a rider has to ride before the final, and when the cut off date for the number of meetings is? or is this just yet another unexplained rule that the supporters, who are expected to pay to watch this part of the so called SUPER 7s, arnt going to find out about. however it does seem strange that dave has ridden in 5 meetings to date and carl stonehewewr has only ridden in two, so have we comfirmation that this rule is real and dave isnt riding for any other reason? any chance JC coming on again and explaining this one, and while he is about it he can explain the qualifiction for the pairs as well.
  8. as long as its over by 6 it shouldnt be too bad, just a wet heavy track, now who doesnt like that sort of track?????
  9. god knows and he is probebly the only one who does know all the rules
  10. after all you have to say on this subject you cant even be bothered to go and support your team?
  11. so whats this rule about, surely not another unpublished rule being brought into force, or should i say farce.
  12. Remember rick from what was probably the best ever sheffield team in 1973, great entertainer
  13. Agree, we cant airbrush him from history because that would be devalueing history, what he did on and off track need to remembered
  14. The big problem is (as everyone but the organisers of the event can see) is that the only rules we know about are the cut off date and that 7 teams qualify and one is to be seeded, but nothing else. We only want someone to tell us what the rules are (and for the pairs) however this should have been done before the season and not after things have been done, no transparency, everything cloudy as usual in speedway and upset supporters, but what do we matter anyway
  15. averages are not relevant after the cut off date or workington would be out as one of their riders didnt have an average as he hadnt riden a meeting this year, and one rider had and average based on one uncompleted ride. i was told by a promoter that once the cut off date had passed the TEAM had qualified and what happened to the riders after that was not relevant, unless you happen to be Redcar of course. Could all have been cleared up by publishing the rules before the start of the season, but that doesnt allow for juggling does it. Perhaps someone from Redcar should ask Mr Chapman tonight why redcar have withdrawn, and let us know the answer? Same will happen with the pairs as we dont know much about that subject either
  16. but will they have a team or will all 7 get injured the night before
  17. In full agreement, sheffield should have been in from the begining, redcar should not have had to pull out, and have to disagree with Mr Machin, there are no rules, as there arnt for the pairs either
  18. Completely agree with you, sheffield were in the top eight didnt qualify and this gives the BSPA an excuse for putting us in but taking Redcar out, this has never happened in the past, if riders were injured then weakened teams were fielded, and as you say your top four wouldnt have been outclassed anyway. But when no one but J Chapman seems to know all the rules i suppose they can be bent or new ones made up to suit what ever circumstances arise
  19. Top 10 pairs according to their averages on whatever date, i wouldnt seed anyone because i cant see whay 1 team should be seeded over another. would also have a minimum number of matches of at least 3 home and 3 away for a riders averages to count. once the pairs are selected then that should be it. If a rider gets injured then the next one in that teams averages should take over. Set the cut off date about 1st week in june so riders and fans know what they are doing. thats it not rocket science so i dont know why we cant have the actual criteria now instead of after the qualifying teams have been announced
  20. not relevant, want to know what the actual criteria are, shouldnt be that hard surely
  21. not asking for sheffield, asking for all the PL teams and supporters so we all know where we stand.
  22. because once again we dont know, why are the suporters always kept in the dark? at least at sheffield we have Hoggy who is explaining what he can to us, but once again Redcar have been pulled, why? this has not happened before when riders are injured, so why now? and as you asked who pulled them?
