barker was lucky to get to the semi, without the extra points he scored because riders fell he would only have scored 7 no problem with the other 3 though -

Super 7 Shared Events 2008
The Third Man replied to willp's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
The reason JC quit are not in shooting starts post where does it say that he was promised full decision making powers, a bit much to ask for when you are in charge of every other promoters money as well as your own dont you think? wouldnt want anyone in charge of whether i make money or not with having a say in matter, would you? anyway its over now and as i said all i want from who ever organises it in the future is more openess about qualification etc as i have already said, not much for sppedway fans to hope for is it, or do you think not knowing the line up for the pairs until a fews days before the meeting, and of course a few days after the programme was printed, is good for speedway and its supporters? -

Elite League Best Pairs
The Third Man replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
the answer this is no, if you work for someone then anything you produce is theirs not yours, and as he did not have a greater financial stake in these events than any other promoter he cannot claim anything belongs to him -

sorry but who ever it is he or she cant be any worse. it will be an improvement just to know how teams qualify and to know why teams are seeded, thats all i ask of anybody new -

Elite League Best Pairs

No KL pairing in the meeting only the nine EL teams, and as the programmes must have been printed by now why all the secrecy, all will be revealed no doubt just before the meeting, another publicity coup for the "super sevens" carrying on where they left off last season. -

Dont know if this is true so maybe someone can confirm the rumour. Been to a couple of meetings this week and heard that JC has resigned from being in charge of the 7s has anyone else heard anything about this? and if so does anyone know why? -

well if its true its par for the course, however might as well use the KL reserves as they will come even cheaper, if its going to be a farce make it a proper one. -
Elite League Best Pairs
The Third Man replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
lets not make the "super 7s" a farce from the off again. This is supposed to be the EL pairs not an invitation event, besides the top pairing in the PL are workingtons top 2 -

Well couldnt care less about all the people on here who think they know the truth about bob, and certainly couldnt be botherd about whether he was gay or not. what i remember most about him was his riding for sheffield, some great rides come to mind, beating ivan mauger at sheffield arount 72 or 73 and beating eric boothroyd and eric boocock at halifax in 1968 in heat 13 with his back wheel on fence for all four laps to get sheffield a 39-39 draw. That and his captaincy of the 74 team which i believe is still the only team to have won every leg home and away in a cup competion so lets forget the was he or wasnt he gay and remember him as agreat servant of sheffield who would always chat with supporters and sign autographs. RIP Bob one of the best captains sheffield has ever had, if not the best
