  1. I have been very critical of the track up to now, but you could pass any where last night, no way was it gate and go track
  2. Not bothered about the score can be 60 - 30 or 46 - 44 as longh as there is good racing Some consistancy with the same rules for all would be good, but all in all can forget the politics and all the all the other rubbish if i can see good racing
  3. if its like the last three weeks it will all depend on who can gate, but here's hoping
  4. if you just want a win then you got it. i want to be entertained, how you could say any rider was any good when all you had to do was gate to win i dont understand. if it is just an early season track then have all the speedway meetings so far been follow my leader or has there been some overtaing at some tracks/
  5. That could explain this week but it was the same last week as well the last time boocock was here he wanted an ultra slick track for some strange reason, i hope this isn't the case again
  6. The team would be better balanced with bates at 2, I believe it is a team sport
  7. no one could catch and pass anyone who gated in front
  8. Rubbish meeting, only passing was when the Sheffield riders went wide on bend 2 and the Scunthorpe lads went through on the inside, so two overtakes in 15 races otherwise just gate and go. someone needs to sort out the track so we can some racing instead of follow my leader.
  9. After seeing him at Sheffield last season I don't agree. he improved as the season went on and looked very much in charge the longer the season went on. pulled off some very good overtaking moves any of you that were obviously there last night want to describe exactly what happened?
  10. step in the wrong direction bringing Eric back, lets hope he is the junior partner of the pair
  11. Vissing against Paul Cooper at Sheffield, the only rider I can say deliberately knocked another rider off
  12. No just a jam on the M60, then another to get onto the M67, then another getting off the M67, then a jam through Mottram, then over Woodhead behind a lorry, every time regular journey for me at the moment, the road link between Sheffield and Manchester is 40 years out of date, usually average 20 mph or you can try the M62
  13. Have you driven between Sheffield and Manchester? Takes about 2.5 hours, probably still less time than Redcar though
  14. Remember that one, and Haley did it from the back as well and at Halifax in 68 second part of a double header with the lesser tigers Bob Paulson riding round the boards in the heat 13 to beat Boocock and Boothroyd to draw 39-39
  15. Was also a class act for Sheffield, all the above could also be said about him when he was with us
  16. Looks like all teams to have a NL rider at number 7, that should reduce costs for promoters and supporters then
  17. I hope the prices drop if 30% of the riders I am going to watch with be of a lower standard to this year this cold be the final nail in the coffin for me with regards to speedway
  18. Easy In March give us the cut off points for the fours, pairs and PLRC say all league matches have to be concluded by the end of the first week in September next two weeks play off QF next two weeks play odd SF next two weeks final do the same for the round of the cup and league cup all teams and supporters know whats happening, if you don't fulfil your fixtures you are out how radical would be that be however as this is speedway that will be far too hard to organise
  19. Me too, he seems to be the only person in the stadium who thought there was anything wrong, he must have a unique view from somewhere
  20. You should have been at Sheffield when Vissing turned right on Paul Cooper just entering the third bend, after watching for him for the length of the back straight
  21. Agree with all of this Lots of sour grapes on here, and some crazy comments about how good Garrity and Bates are from the Rye supporters, considering how few were there, they must all have been stood in the same place to see all the action and all must be posting on this thread
