  1. just like to add i wish he could get four rides once in a while, thursday night was the perfect oportunity to put him in heat 14 with nothing to lose
  2. totally agree with this, the booing was for one of the worst refereeing decisions I have seen, what was McGregor looking at, it certainly wasn't the race. we all applauded tero when he got up
  3. Are these the rules that allowed Branford to ride for Sheffield when there was one clash and Rye House when there was another clash?
  4. Would imagine Bates would ride for Sheffield as he is our asset, not sure about Bjerre although we did sign him first, if that even matters more of a problem for me would be the fact that if it is Sheffield and Leicester then there is a massive conflict of interest looking at the owners / promoters of the respective teams
  5. I assume that's what you actually meant to say along with any panthers fans need to show their promotion that the promotion need to hang their heads in shame I agree
  6. It is the way the tablw will look at the end of the season based on tghe amount of away points gained less home points lost
  7. It will depend on which track the owner / promoter wants to be in what league, it could be a result decided by economic off track matters rather than on track matters
  8. True, need to think a little more before posting, never known it happen again though
  9. Not the same but three Sheffield riders scored full 12 point maximums against BV in 1968, impossible to repeat after 1968 because of the change in race format does anyone know if this happened before
  10. Looks like all the top 5 survived their matches intact last night, four of them riding for Leicester, if we get to play off wonder what guests Leicester will use when they cant use Sheffield riders
  11. Maybe, but I cant remember when his last "day" was, certainly not this season
  12. Firstly its not the Sheffield promotion who close the bar, however it has been open for league matches so hopefully will be open for the pairs
  13. Its no good attempting a serious discussion with him idiots always win, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
  14. So we allow promoters to break the rules because if we dont a track may close, that way madness lies
  15. that's not the only problem, if it did happen which track would the promoter want to be in the PL? do they want Leicester to stay, or do they see more opportunities in Sheffield being in the PL? it could lead to a completely rigged match. bet the promoters didn't think of that either and what happens if its not Leicester and Sheffield get promoted, I am sure there used to be a rule against the same promoters running two teams in the same league
  16. I would like to know what crime has been committed in either case. have either of them been arrested? has the verdict of what happened on Sunday been announced? if not them you are jumping the gun on Cooke being guilty of anything As for Holder he wasn't the first rider not to want to ride when others did, however in 50 years of watching speedway he is the first one I can remember getting a nine month ban for it
  17. Guests have been allowed in this situation ever since i started going to speedway 50 years ago, so its not this situation that is putting people off. Our number 1 was injured, not riding elsewhere. the situation was that RL was at Sheffield last night when it was realised that JG was injured, easy solution ask RL to ride. Did you expect him not to ride to his full capabilities? I agree that the situation this season has got totally out of hand and we need to go back to using guests when riders are injured and not riding elsewhere
  18. Couldn't agree more but the problem is there arent enough of sufficient quality, they are already riding at number 7 in teams
  19. You really don't understand what everyone is talking about do you
