  1. a lot will depend on the type of track. if we have an outside line for once we will have a chance, if the track has been like the last few weeks, and our gating is like the last few weeks we will struggle
  2. Think it will be Kennedy, must be one of the worst kept secrets that has signed for us cant see us paying a transfer fee for Howarth when we don't need to
  3. it does make it better meeting I agree, but who has he replaced, would it have been a better meeting with them in it and withdraw one of the others, where do we stop, do we say certain riders have no chance of winning so what's the point of them riding? are there riders not riding, who have ridden in CL this year, who perform better at Sheffield? they would also make for a better meeting, where do we stop, or do we just invite the 16 riders we think would perform at Sheffield?
  4. I think it is now time to scrap this competition, as others have said it is not a serious meeting anyway, riders riding with only 2 matches to qualify, one rider riding in Poland, I thought all riders had to commit to riding in this meeting if they qualified, and you can bet others will withdraw either on the day or the day before due to mysterious problems that will immediately disappear Lets just have an open meeting with riders invited, although how you would get agreement on that is beyond me
  5. The league riders championship should be based on this season, not this season and last
  6. This meeting has always been about qualification, with, not now I know, the number one rider from each team. it has never been about the top 16 riders in the averages, and there used to be criteria, i.e. a minimum number of matches for your team, before you could ride. now that seems to have been removed, surely just invite the top 16 riders in the league based on their averages and forget all other qualification criteria or better still get the top sixteen riders based on their averages at Sheffield, that should give you the best riders for the meeting
  7. Well if riders don't need to qualify they might as well make it an open meeting and invite who they want
  8. Well done Kyle, perhaps some Posters will have the good grace to apologise now
  9. I am sorry I never saw him at his best, RIP Ronnie
  10. If you think there isn't a taste of failure just ask the Ipswich fans after the play off final last year. have way through the second leg they were on course to possibly win it then everything changed and Sheffield won the meeting I am certain they were disappointed, I know I would have been if we had lost
  11. Well your friends up the road beat Berwick, and have a trophy this season and two last season
  12. If that's the reason, if I was either the Scunthorpe or Sheffield promoters I would be furious Sheffield because in three rides he went through the motions and only rode well after we had lost the match Scunthorpe because for once they have a full time tonight, which Garrity must have put at risk by taking a guest booking while not fully fit
  13. If Garrity was carrying an injury why did he take the booking? the injury was not apparent in heat 13, when we had already lost the meeting, either
  14. Yes they did, they beat what was in front of them, very well as it happens, that's all they could do
  15. couldn't agree more, if people cant back up their accusations they need to be quiet
  16. The way we are the moment the only good chance of a good meeting will be if you let us gate and then try to pass us
  17. No problem with that if it is required, as long as the top league is set at present championship level
  18. It just needs a two tier structure one league based on present championship levels and one on NL level, then rebuild on some form of sound foundation
  19. that is only to Sheffield's benefit if those riders ride for us, so another conspiracy theory that doesn't work those people asking if the riders are getting paid, do they have any evidence that they are not of is this just another conspiracy theory as well
  20. Would think 70 at home and 60 away next week, can the promotion afford the wages
