Future Format for British Speedway
The Third Man replied to Falcon1983's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why does PL football need help, the major sport in the country, don't understand that comment at all there are loads of minor sports, including Speedway, who may or may not survive, who would need very small amounts of money to survive, and yes I am a UK tax payer -
See above post
-
Its a con, it has always been touted as the number of tests carried out, now it seems we should all have known it wasn't that at all, for gods sake "its in the post" is now being used as an excuse by the government
-
Rules made up by the people who have to follow them, great way of doing things so the definition of tests carried include the ones carried out to someone's house by the postman bet we all wish we could work to rules like these
-
From the answer about numbers tested, if I understood the answer, which is not easy to do, 36,000 of the tests were home tests sent out yesterday, so not quite 100,000 tests carried out but I could have misunderstood the vague answer Just had to clarify the answer, so not 100,000 carried out as the ones in the post have been counted as done as well

Will the premiership start on time?
The Third Man replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And hopefully that is where people will see that football, is not really that important and all they are bothered about is getting the money from the TV companies -
All to do with money, the bookies must be losing a fortune, so they need horse racing back, but until there is a relaxation of lockdown how can loads of people gather at a horse race meeting but not in a public park? Plus you need paramedics, ambulances etc which wont be allowed at the moment

Cant see football happening behind closed doors until some relaxation of the lock down rules what's the difference between a football match behind closed doors, the Germans say that up to 300 people would be involved in a TV match with no supporters, and 22 kids playing in a park? (apart from money that is) bit hard to fine the kids for playing in a park while allowing professionals to the same thing -
They will all be practising in Australia this winter

Speedway and the NHS

Great idea, extend it to other care workers as well, but would welcome reduced admission if my team can afford it -
Will British Speedway Survive ?
The Third Man replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I have now given up trying to discuss anything with him / her Facts don't matter just whatever agenda they want to put forward -
The problem is some outlay will already have been made, air fences etc, so some losses will still be made even if there is no speedway
-
You have to consider the cost of air fares into this and who pays them The cost of air fares spread over a season is one thing, the cost spread over a third of a season are something different it may be that teams / riders may decide its not worth the outlay this year
-
No chance, who would be buying tickets at this stage Got my hotels with a right to cancel, will wait until I cancel, but it wont be going ahead

To be honest I want to watch speedway, so the Thursday night option at Sheffield appeals much more to me, so much so that I wouldn't attend the Sunday afternoon event -
Thats no problem nobody gets my last Rolo
-
its about as realistic as anyone winning the PL after 38 matches have been played this season

Will the premiership start on time?
The Third Man replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The problem with it only being for a month or two at most would be if it was worth while preparing tracks and spending money on preparation etc hopefully if we do manage to get a couple of months in, the supporters will go out and support the meetings in great numbers Would imagine Australia and New Zealand might have a few more riders next winter so riders can get the practice -

The tracks that teams rent would be available, if they survive the tracks that are owned would still be there but the owners may have gone bust so I suppose most of the tracks would be available, depending on people with money -
Could you please contact all the leaders from all the countries in the world and share your research with them so we can all get beck to normal, I am sure they would appreciate it I am now sure that you just on a wind up, no one could come out with statements as stupid as yours if it not a wind up. as I keep falling for your wind up I will now stop answering your posts
-
Really, where do you live? Because I have never known anything like this, and maybe you are the only one that has
-
Of course they are, no one alive has had experience of anything like this, the last time it happened was 1918 when the flu killed more people that the war did. they are doing their best, as are the governments in all countries, without the knowledge of what is going to happen next. Therefore they are going to make mistakes, they will make the wrong decisions, they also need all people to buy into what they are telling us in the hope that are correct, and if they are not then so be it
-
And that means what? to have an opinion on any subject, you have to search out any topic on that subject and join in

I am afraid we will all have to pay eventually and if that's the price to pay to get through it, then so be it
