Brummies Season Halted |
The Third Man replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Very big generalisation, all the group i go to speedway with have bought tickets on line and pay by card, all over 60, i don't pay cash for anything, even know how to use the card only pumps at petrol stations don't speak for everyone, loads of over 60's use computers and pay by card what not having the facilities to pay cash does is stop people going on the spur of the moment if their plans change or the weather changes for the good -
Cant see very much, if any speedway anywhere after Mondays announcement that will we will have to wait at least 4 weeks before they decide to bring us out of this government enforced lockdown it wont just be speedway that suffers however, all the pubs, restaurants and hotels will have bought supplies already, and these supplies will go to waste which will finish a lot of businesses

Wolves v Sheffield 7th June 2021

Josh looks like he needs to build up some upper body strength, if he had that he might be able to control the bike better It does seem that the bike is in control of him, not the other way round -
the problem is now the view is, if you don't support it you are against it, there is no reasoned debate because if you speak out against supporting anything you are branded as being against things it just seems that there is only point of view allowed now, which is a shame
-
Why cant we have debate anymore? Not supporting pride means your homophobic Don't take the knee, your racist Have different views on how to tackle Covid from the government, your a conspiracy theorist Your not vegan, then you like to kill animals and don't want to stop climate change There is only one view allowed now, and you need to support it without comment

Sheffield tickets for meetings
The Third Man replied to MWC's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Had a problem, of my own making, with tickets for tomorrow, used this Email address and got it sorted very quickly office@sheffield-speedway.com -
Have we seen a preview of the rest of the season when it comes to our top two average riders 1 has only rode in 1 match, and the other hasn't turned up for either match he has rode in if this keeps up we will have gone possible league winners to finishing near the bottom. Well done to Kyle, good job we have had him up to now as our third highest average rider has only managed one match as well Hope i am wrong and Jack and Adam can ride in all the rest of the matches and that Troy gets his act together for the next match

Train to Bathgate and taxi works, or stay in Bathgate Think a taxi from Edinburgh to Bathgate cost us about £35 in 2019

Bit away from other housing, might be difficult to get planning

Has British Speedway now reached the bottom?
The Third Man replied to Wee Eck's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
He was booed at Sheffield because he rode for Halifax, most Halifax and Belle Vue riders were booed, the possible exception being Peter Collins -
Very sad, he cannot be that old, saw him bounce of the fence all over the place at Sheffield when he first started, but went on to be a good reserve until he broke his leg in 74 i think
-
We don't do well with Danish wonderkids, cant remember any of them doing well at Sheffield
-
its also the American way In their draft system the bottom team from the previous season gets first choice
-
Isn't that the rule they use in America for their draft system, not sure they are classed world wide as a joke
-
But if they aren't near the standard how are they are going to improve, riding around half a lap behind the others getting the odd point when other riders don't finish is not going to help them, more likely knock their confidence completely, and earn no money
-
Who are the riders, who at least near EL standard, who are missing out?
-
If he is, its a no brainer for Sheffield to sign him
