  1. Yes it was called off based on the forecast, because the forecast of rain for a lot of the day, which was correct, gave no chance of sorting out the damage from the previous nights downpour without the rain the previous night there would have a good chance of getting the match on
  2. And if this decision wasnt made when it was then people and riders would have set off and then the meeting called off, no way could this match be on after all the rain
  3. The amount of rain overnight in Sheffield was enough to call the match off, and its been raining on and off all day, so no chance of the track drying after last nights rain
  4. About what you would expect, we were outscored 9 to 6 by the Belle Vue reserves, to be expected away from home
  5. So i take you you can predict the scores of all riders in a match, must be boring to watch when you know the result of all the races beforehand
  6. Didn't have a problem with him at Sheffield last year
  7. i don't see a problem with doing that, as long as Birmingham understand that there will be no facility available when the short term contract expires
  8. If its the same Batch who was at Sheffield last season, you need him at 2, his rides can be over by heat 8 then, latest heat 10
  9. Was said at the STARRS meeting at Sheffield last night as well Stead said he hoped Dan Thompson would learn from just being around the other riders in the pits
  10. He retired from Sheffield before he got any where near what he could have achieved The years away obviously didn't help when he came back and he never did reach his full potential Hope he does well, can still remember when he came into the team, 2002 i think, and looked to be going places, and then the early retirement
  11. If they are Ukrainian they will have no chance
  12. So you wouldn't mind rearranged Polish league matches meaning that he misses half a dozen matches at short notice,
  13. Yes Russia can still compete, although their opponents in the world cup ply offs have refused to play against them, so unless the ever corrupt FIFA change their stance they will get a bye to the world cup finals and the F1 GP has been cancelled, although one paper has reported that they don't want people to ask for their money back on tickets yet because they might still be able to run it
  14. So it looks like Russia will be allowed to play football under another name with no national anthem or flags It looks like FIFA are still getting money from Russia for giving them the world cup, and looking at Sweden's, Poland's and the Czech Republics decision not to play against Russia this gives Russia a bye into the finals All the worlds Football Associations need to come out as one and say that they will not play Russia Hopefully this will be the end of FIFA in its present state
  15. Along with Poland, Just got to wait and see how much Russia give to FIFA, to see if Russia get a bye now to the finals
  16. The correct action, against the correct people, i agree, just dont think these two are the correct people
  17. Wow, Putin will be so scared by that threat he will withdraw immediately i am not bothered what country they represent, they didn't officially represent Russia last season, i just want to see the best riders perform
  18. Missed Taffy Owen for Wales as well and the Russian, Sergei Darkin, who was listed in loads of programmes but never rode, does he count
  19. Was Sheffield's number 1 the first season i started going to speedway
  20. Is there a STARRS meeing in December, or have i missed it?
