  1. He likes throw away comments, look at any Sheffield thread to see
  2. do we now get apologies from panthers fans for the comments made after the postponement of the match at Sheffield?
  3. Should have been Mountain, not Sedgeman being busy tonight
  4. How do the track staff repair damaged posts that presumably need digging out and replacing, a bit to specialised for volunteers
  5. So we should have had a construction team on standby, in case any unforeseen matters occurred, they they could have worked all Tuesday night, sure the local residents would have loved the noise, and if filled in a hole dug by a utilities company you would be in serious trouble, as well as the potential danger
  6. Yes we should have ran the meeting at Scunthorpe, problem solved they were assured the work would be completed, it was, but no one expected the damaged fence posts, and why should you
  7. How can the buck stop with the promotion, it wasn't their fault the work overran and then damaged the fence posts as well Its like saying it was Belle Vues fault Monday was rained off, they knew the rain was forecast, so should they have started an hour earlier and got the meeting finished, after all the buck stops with the promotion no matter what the fault is
  8. Agree with that, but this is speedway, we booked to see Sheffield at Edinburgh a few seasons ago, only for it to be postponed and they rode against Glasgow instead, still had a good weekend however, it isn't only Sheffield who do this So perhaps all travelling supporters need to be wary, no matter where are booking for
  9. Again the speedway is not responsible for the dog track, any more than Peterborough Speedway is responsible for what goes on there
  10. Yes, i am sure loads will turn up tomorrow night thinking there is racing and then find out there isnt
  11. Try reading this post from someone with no axe to grind The way I understand this is that the work on the greyhound track finished last night and the speedway had access from today and they found several safety fence posts damaged and needing work / replacing. This gives them less than 48 hours before tomorrows match to find a contractor to possibly break out the posts, concrete in new ones, allow the concrete to cure / harden and then re-hang the safety fence and possible have to have a track inspection of the works carried out before they can race. I am no track expert but I have worked in construction and to get a contractor, get all that work done and signed off in under 48 hours is a tall order which I think the management realise hence the early call off. Give the management team a break I'm sure they want to lose a race day even less than we do, especially for rectification a problem that is no fault of there's. Yes all the fault of Sheffield Speedway, they should have re-laid the dog track faster than they did, without damaging the fence posts, or perhaps it wasn't the speedway that were relaying the dog track, perhaps you never thought of that Maybe they shouldn't have the British Final at Belle Vue anyway because it rains a lot in Manchester, as Monday night proves
  12. Two and a half weeks away and still nothing, this really is a complete shambles
  13. Don't the green sheets still include matches from last season Check bachelors scores from last season it would be difficult for him to get worse
  14. And where in the rules is this There are no guarantees in speedway and you are assuming that Doyle would have had two wins, has he won every Race has been in this season? You lost by eight points just accept it
  15. Great news will have to come up and have a look next season
  16. There is i big difference between the way Mountain and Nielson are riding though, Mountain has been on the pace in most of his rides this season and has deserved a lot more points than he has scored, Nielson, apart from Heat 2 last night wasn't really on the pace and looked down on power, and has all season. Nielson deserved his chance after last season but it hasn't worked out, we will have to see if Allen does
  17. No would have gone with Tobi, can only think that the long discussion they had before heat 15 was to sort out if Adam and Jacks heads were in the right place after heat 13 just shows why i am not the team manager Feel sorry for Nielson, it just hasn't worked for him this season, but he deserved the chance after last season
  18. He usually goes very well at Sheffield, so that is not the case at all
