Up until Saturday I was hoping Sheffield could be caught, on the assumption Edinburgh could get a result there this week. But now with Plymouth still having to go to Redcar and Scunny, Ipswich will probably have to get something from Somerset and Rye house this week. Certainly Plymouth are favourites now, and the Witches season could well be over by Saturday night. I hope it isn't, but it's looking bleak at the moment.

Plenty of times a Football or Cricket match has been delayed due to traffic problems, happened a few Weeks ago when Birmingham Bears turned up late at Old Trafford. Most of the riders would have come from the East. I assume a couple of other riders would have come the same route as Lawson. Had they been 20 minutes earlier, they might have missed it, had they been 20 minutes later they might have heard about it and diverted. But sometimes you're in the wrong place at the wrong time and there's nothing you can do about it. I sat on the crash barrier on the M25 a few Weeks ago for ages, I'd planned my trip, gave myself plenty of time, but if the whole road is blocked and the police are waiting for the air ambulance, and then the crash inspectors to do their bit, then you are stuffed!!! **** happens as they say. Now the good news (for me), I'm on holiday when the 2nd leg is due, so I wont have to make that decision whether to go or not.

Knowing how difficult it is to arrange a cup match with our friends from the dump, we were probably offered this date or sometime in October. There's no way we'd have wanted to go without Danny and Stefan, but as they run the league we probably didn't have a choice. Not the first time, and it wont be the last. Having said that, as Peterborough proved, if over half your team is out, it can work to your advantage. Not many other teams riding, so let's hope our guests perform like the Panthers guests did last week. And really looking on the bright, (unlike our last visit) we wont have to carry a reserve who hates the place and is guaranteed not to score.

Surprised you haven't started one yet. But not looking good for this season, unless we can do a Peterborrow and beat Edinburgh in the cup, or Sheffield lose at home and we get something at Rye and Somerset. Clutching at straws a bit, but you never know.

Nice to see our reserves looking sharper and all round our gating looked more consistent. Were we better or were they crap? -

We thought they were waiting for Wilko to take his helmet off (just to make sure it was really him), after his excellent showing in heat 3. Nobody has ever seen him look so smooth around Foxhall. -

Not a bad Evening's racing. Babs only had one decision to make, but got it wrong. After a wet Afternoon it was nice to see a fair crowd again, I was expecting a lot less considering the weak opposition. -

Might only be 3 hours to get here, but as we found out the other Friday, the numerous road closures mean a lot longer getting home, you've made the right choice. Light rain here in Felixstowe, should save the track staff watering the track. -
We all know the solution is cheaper machinary, then cheaper wages will follow. We're told the riders don't want this, but I'm sure once they realise is this, or getting paid peanuts in an ever expanding National League, then they might have to change their stance. But as usual everyone will bury their heads in the sand until it's too late.

Sorry June, not the way we saw it. Stefan took the lead and turned left, Wilko should have shut off or gone wider. Whether Stefan made the straight a bit longer is anyone's guess, but didn't appear to, Howarth and Harris in the British final spring to mind, but the rider in the lead will always get the benefit. So no ban for Wilko, what about Mr Godfrey? Surely the ref must have sent a report in about his behaviour, never heard anything like it.

Arranging a meeting with Edinburgh is one of the hardest things in Speedway, At the end of the day they will pick their date when the opposition are weaker, and the opposition will just have to say yes, or wait until October. I was told the BSPA actually reserved a week for the semi finals to take place this season, but then didn't bother to make sure clubs finished their fixtures on time. We know we're never going to get an independent body running the sport, but fair minded fixture co-ordinator would be nice. Then we'd be looking forward to an all Scottish league cup final by now. Not sour grapes, as baldy said, we'll lose anyway.

Some have thought they could take this sport into the 21st century, but soon gave up. I had high hopes that the likes of Louis and Chapman Junior could have more of an influence in trying to take this sport forward, but never gonna to happen, the old gits think they know best, but we all know they don't.

As we couldn't put a proper team out on the track due to their incompetence, does this mean we can appeal last night's result and get it rerun? Surely there is a case for it, not our fault we were weakened, and 2-3 points would have changed the outcome. Teams have points deducted when they field a rider that they shouldn't have done, but the way this sport is run, I dread to think what sort of ruling they have for this scenario. -

When we did better than expected in 11 and 12 I was convinced we'd win, but for the first time this season Danny didn't come up trumps. But what was this about us being refused a proper guest for Stefan? Word was we were told we couldn't have Greenwood, then we were told we could, but by then it was far too late. Not too sure if it was just a yarn though. Well done to the tiggers, as Baldy asked, why the hell can't we gate at home. As for heat 15, I agree with the decision to put Rohan off 1, Phil must have been sure that Danny would win it, and Rohan's gating had been better than Nico's. -

When I crawled out of there 2 years ago after that 5 hour fiasco, I said never again. If I was thinking of changing my mind, I certainly won't now. Ipswich usually take good support, but they won't now. -

Uninterested? Wouldn't accuse our lot of that, just better getting out of the gate away from home than at home, for some obscure reason. -

When I saw 4 pages of this I thought, oh no not that again. But thankfully it's mostly about this meeting or it's participants anyway. Congrats to Glasgow, Ford and Middlo would have been proud of the Howe stunt you pulled, best of luck if you can keep it going, certainly makes you stronger, but bad luck with losing the French bloke, that certainly makes you weaker at the other end. Let's just hope for a good meeting like last week, 46-44 would do nicely, but sooner or later one or both of our 2nd strings have got to start winning races if we're going to have a chance in the play-offs. -
Don't think this one will end until they make a decision, which will obviously be "no case to answer due to lack of concrete evidence". Hopefully they wont be too hard on Godfrey, he is entertaining in his sweet little way, but can be a "tad" one sided in his views, but anyone who was there could never condone what Wilkinson did, no need for video evidence on that one, throw the book at the thug I say, or would the Scunny fans like to defend the maniac who waited on the track just to try and boot Stefan off his bike?
-
Obviously the video doesn't show it, but he turned round and put his hand up once he'd got control of the bike. We all see riders who feel an opposing rider has done something bad want a bit of revenge after the race. They either chuck some shale in their direction, or give them a nudge, sometimes the recipient hasn't got a clue what he's supposed to have done. But in all my 45 years of watching this happen, I've never seen the rider giving it apologise straight away, they're usually too angry with the other rider, but Rohan turned round and did appear to be a bit concerned the moment it happened. The cynics will say that was premeditated, but at the time it looked like a genuine gesture. When he slowed up, he started to turn, but then he saw some crazy men waving their arms around and thought better of it.

Usually when the girls walk off, that's it. Well that was the only indication we got in Warsaw. -
Yes HT I am an Ipswich fan, but like most on here, I'm primarily a Speedway fan. No one got hurt? Auty knocking Tungate off at full speed is (usually) more likely to end in someone getting hurt than a nudge after the race. And winding the home fans up to the point where some became aggressive could have also ended in someone getting hurt, you can trust me on that one!! But the thing I need to ascertain is this. IF Rohan slowed up after the race then speeded up as he went past Josh, then he's banged to rights, but did he end the race on the outside and keep the bike wound on to avoid the fence, this happens every meeting. I cant remember what happened, and I'm only playing devils advocate here, but his defence will be a lot better if he never slowed up and was trying to avoid the fence by keeping the throttle open. We saw Stefan and Cam collide 2 races later after the race, thankfully they didn't knock each other off. As I say, I honestly cant remember, but would love to see the footage, then and only then will I point the finger, or not as the case maybe.
-
So we have all the neutrals saying Josh should have been excluded in the first place, certainly agree with that. As for what happened afterwards, how many times has a rider that's been fenced, get close the next time they meet? Happens all the time, there's no way Rohan intended to knock Josh off, his hand went up to apologise straight away, riders that want to knock someone off, don't apologise the second after it happens. I think Rohan intended to chuck some shale in Josh's direction. Or at worst, he intended to give him a nudge. But we'll never know, it was just very unfortunate that Josh fell awkwardly and hurt himself (but having said that, the way he was stomping around he didn't look very injured to me), but it didn't stop him behaving like an idiot 30-40 minutes later. But what was premeditated was what Wilkinson did, that was not very nice and could have also caused injury. But the whole incident shouldn't have left us fans standing around doing nothing for that amount of time, the Ref made his decision but it appeared that Scunny wouldn't accept it, but when the boss is a nutcase that doesn't seem to know much about the sport, it's only obvious his employees will follow his lead. Good meeting apart the that, but Ippo did make hard work of beating a poor side.
