  1. Hope we've got a guest lined up incase Kennett is absent again tonight. Probably be someone like Ritchie Hawkins mind. Somerset to take all 4 match points tonight, if Kennett is absent it could be a mauling.
  2. Exciting to watch but only a 6 pointer at best.
  3. Better off at Captain Cod in the town, last time I had some chips from George's there were some curly hairs in them, shudder to think of where they came from!
  4. Yes let's all applaud the speedway slags as they are an upstanding pillar of the sport's community.
  5. What about after the following 12 races?
  6. Blimey, Piotr Swist top scoring, he must be 45/46 these days, sign him up!
  7. Only til the averages change it seems, then he's back in at the expense of Shanes!
  8. Redcar isn't a very big track itself, he's probably just awful. Outrageous that they dropped Crang to keep Konopka in the side, shouldn't be allowed.
  9. Good move made too late. Anders shouldn't have been released in the first place and having seen what Greenwood could do at the end of last season we could have made a move for him over the winter too. Now is the time to be ruthless and lay foundations for next year, we're teetering as it is, one more poorly put together side from the start of the season could be the straw that breaks the camels back.
  10. Another track closed, hopefully only temporarily. Feel deeply for the Brummies fans. Hope they can come back in the near future at a sustainable level of racing.
  11. Fed up mate, when you can see something you love dearly going down the pan without a fight it hurts a lot. We could have it all in terms of PL Speedway at Rye yet we seem to choose not to year on year these days.
  12. No. Most fans would agree that he was much improved the last season before his injury, he was looking like a real number one and there's nobody who could ride Rye like he could. We pay the going rate for Premier League speedway, why should we settle for less? The point of any sport is to win not to take part. Threats to be grateful for what you have are a part of this sport which is killing it and if you truly believe that sentiment then that is sad.
  13. I remember that, Madsen withdrew from the meeting with concussion after said kick in the nuts!
  14. Neath was public enemy number one til about the season before his career ending injuries. What I'd give to have someone like him in the team now, especially at home!
  15. Said that to Ash last night, "remember when we were those fans." I don't ask of us to win even, just put up a fight and show that the riders care about the racejacket.
  16. Skies are blue at the moment, for how much longer who knows though. Planning on going to this if it is on for what will be only my third meeting at Rye this season, there was a time nothing would stand in the way of me going on a Saturday night, shows how times have changed.
  17. R/R for Ross Brady is par for the course anyway isn't it?
  18. What newcomers? Another expected result, something has to change and soon.
  19. Radical thought here but: One race night a week (it can be done regardless of what any nay-sayers think.) Teams face each other once home and away so will be at home once a fortnight. Teams to be made up of a squad, 3 British riders to be included at each meeting as a minimum including both reserves, to increase to 4 Brits in 1-2 season's time. All EL sides to run a NL side who can race home meetings on the night the EL side are away, hence developing more British riders. And perhaps most importantly: No more pleading poverty from promoters, run their clubs within their means and actually do something to get fans through the gates rather than threatening them with closure if they don't turn up.
  20. If we still had that run of fixtures as a northern tour this year I'd happily go, such good weekends away. The promotion know that us fans enjoyed them too so why not push for a three night northern your when fixtures are arranged each year!?
  21. The lad is 15 it's all about giving him time on track, he's going to be a very good rider. He's averaging 3.06 in the league at present, that is solid from a debut season reserve at this level. To say he hasn't progressed quickly is unfair. How? Rye House drop riders once in a blue moon. How can you take a step back in your debut season? He started with a blank canvas. Riders only take 3 rides a meeting generally in the MDL, it's not a 15 heat format. Good luck to Garrad, if he has the same impact as Ayres then it will be a good move for the team. Hope Harris does return later in the year or in 2015, he'll be a very good rider in future and the Kings can't afford to let him slip through their fingers.
