Niels-Kristian Iversen 9.04 Matej Zagar 7.48 Peter Kildemand 7.10 Tai Woffinden 7.03 Antonio Lindback 7.00 Two Pointer 2.00 Two Pointer 2.00 Total: 41.65 If that's the policy it is a bad one when looking to win the top division title. There are certain riders to avoid of course that are based abroad but if handled right (like we did when we had Linus originally) then it can work.

No, it isn't ironic. Rain on your wedding day is ironic. A free ride when you've already paid is ironic. Good advice that you just can't take is ironic.
-
Exactly, of course money means it won't happen but if someone wanted to go for the s*** or bust approach it would be legal as far as I can see going by signings made elsewhere.
-
Rutherford has been around for ages and is a NL reserve still.
-
We're seeing riders signing for Premiership clubs on old Elite League averages too. Teams were built to Premier League averages pre-season. Swindon have a bargain in Musielak while Lahti could prove to be a bargain at Poole too. There are plenty of riders with existing EL averages that could come into teams on those figures and make a mockery of them for sure in this league. For example a team of Iversen, Zagar, Kildemand, Woffinden, Lindback and two two pointers could be assembled within the points limit now if old EL averages are to be used.
-
The right changes can get any team into the play-offs at this moment. Hopefully the management won't be afraid to pull the trigger.
-
Signing him would be a mistake, using him at Swindon as a guest was a mistake. He's a good rider to have at home but away not so much. We need to bin Wells (or Barker or Sedgmen) and sign another heatleader and a two pointer to replace Rob if we are to stand a chance of the play-offs imo.
-
Gives us over eight points. I worry we'll just replace Rob with Ben Morley and keep it as it is with the rest of the team.
-
I'd bin Wells and sign Linus Sundstrom on a 7.22 (Poole have used Lahti's last EL average so we should be able to use Linus') and a two pointer to replace Rob.
-
In the National League. Once bitten twice shy and he was bobbins when he guested for us on a track he's done plenty of laps on earlier in the season.
-
In his first spell at Rye he regularly used to do the same exiting bend two, was a thing of beauty.
-
This could be an absolute mauling. May end up being a busy night for Robbo.

The race jacket design is irrelevant. I was a fan of the 'traditional' design but you have to move with the times. Man Utd don't play in the same kit they had when they were founded for example. Speedway is still a sport ultimately and fans want to see a winning team. The promotion are trying to give them that whether you agree with the changes or not (I'm not convinced). Having a happy to be here attitude doesn't have a place at the highest level of a sport.
-
There's no loyalty in sport if you want to win ultimately.
-
Think it has to be a numbers thing. It's a gamble and I'll give the promotion that, however it doesn't look inspiring on the face of things. Pairing Barker with Harris looks like a foolish move as far as I'm concerned. Two racers together could cause each other grief. I'd line up: 1. Harris 2. Sedgmen 3. Barker 4. Wells 5. Nicholls 6. Branford 7. Robbo

It makes us stronger away because Eddie has been atrocious away from home. Robbo to reserve is good also. However it makes us weaker at home. Eddie's a very good rider at Rye and I have my reservations about whether Barker and Sedgmen can match the points of Eddie and Ellis at Rye House. It's better to win every week at home and not pick any points away than pick the odd point away but be in more danger of getting turned over at home and I think that's what will happen now.
-
Sundstrom would have been north of 11 average wise at the start of this season. It'll be two riders on 6 averages (Barker and NBJ) to push Robbo to reserve. Feel for Perks, looks good this year.
-
Not sure what the conversion figure is but could see Barker and NBJ in.

Nothing wrong with the graphics, they showed who was in each heat and kept the scores up to date. If they can be improved great but not a big issue. The issue was the camera following the leader and not the racing in a fair few heats, however that will hopefully be picked up on by those at BT and improved upon over time. Sporting events run over, other than those that have a specific time frame, I.E. Football and Rugby, sports such as Tennis, Cricket and Darts can all run over time, or under if they reach their conclusion quickly. I didn't think the meeting was run that slowly, I've seen far worse for certain. Annoying if you're recording it for sure but that's the nature of the beast. It's good to have racing back on TV and hope that it gets a big audience on BT each week.

I don't think anyone would complain about King getting heat 15. Of course any rider should want heat 15, it's another chance to earn points money. The wrong choice of riders was made end of.

Maybe the one who can't spot a joke is the idiot eh Steve?
-
Hi Tai, good to see you posting on the forum. Fancy doing a shift at Belle Vue on Monday?
-
Updates provided by a Belle Vue fan. These things even themselves out however and Rye should have closed out the meeting when they had the chance. King should have been given a heat 15 spot.
-
Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Latvia and Slovenia all received more spots than us. Despite the sport being in a pretty poor position here these days only Poland, Sweden, Denmark and perhaps Australia should be receiving more spots than us.
-
Echo, echo, echo... Hadn't noticed that in fairness. That's one of King's poorest visits I'd imagine however.
