Starke can come and race for Rye if he wants we've got injury troubles ATM and I've always rated him highly, he wouldn't be held backfrom PL speedway at rye or elsewhere either if he came to Rye.
-
Typical really, one rule for the top two divisions, yet the 'professional' National League has it's own rules regarding missing riders.
-
Ah yeah, I remember now, was in the press release when he originally stepped up, Evans for Hughes then I reckon with r/r for Marc if he is unavailable, however he may want to test his fitness before the u-18s at Somerset which is on the 30th I believe...
-
As I said in my post, Marc Owen is also out injured, leaving us 2 guests and R/R, Hughes is not number 1, Jamie Smith is, however as we are missing 3 main team riders, two guests are allowed in addition to r/r.
-
With no Marc Owen already (i believe?) plus lee and Kyle at Workington, it looks like two guests and R/R, I'd like to see Barrie Evans for Kyle, Jon Armstrong for Lee and Tom Stokes as no. 8 taking the R/R rides. Queue press release proving me wrong however

Strange, well if Kyle isn't riding that is a bonus for the Cobras, still think we will see a win for the Hornets however. -

Kyle is a Newport rider so I'd guess the Hornets get first call on his services. -

This isn't an issue of 'experience' it's the point that so many posters on here think that just because we weren't round in the halcyon days that fans like myself and Najjer know nothing about the sport and I'm getting p***ed off with it so I'm cutting the crap when I post, I'll say what I feel and if you don't like it, lump it. Tsunami, you obviously have a vendetta because myself and Najjer have said both here and in the past that your mate Lubos is not a 9 point premier league speedway rider, the fact that we are right has led to you trying to degrade our postings on other topics, rather than just accepting you were wrong and moving on as most others on the forum would do. Take off your tinted glasses and take a good long look at the ridiculous way you have conducted yourself recently. Is there any danger of a speedway discussion on this forum? -

Here here! It's funny how I say Tsunami is on a high horse so he replies that we are also on high horses, the irony is hilarious! Of course Naj, we know nothing do we? We are too young and just because we haven't managed a speedway team, what we say is irrelevant, nice to see prejudice is still with us. -

No, why should we change our views just for Malcolm Vasey. You do not know me Rob, so how dare you make remarks such as "your type" that's personal abuse in my book. You seem to be clinging to Malcolms coat tails a lot, you are allowed your own opinion you know. -

Talk about double standards, it amazes me the brass neck you have to talk about high horses, yet your issue is based in the fact that you know Lubos and you take people commenting on his riding personally. -

I hope the first bit is not aimed at myself, I do not come here to jump on Stoke, or antagonize Malcolm Vasey (or any other user for that matter), he is just another member of the forum to me and if he says something I disagree with, then I will post my views back to him, it's what a forum is for! I was not the one who led this thread to petty abuse, all along I have maintained the view, which I still believe is true, that Lubos Tomicek is a poor signing for the Potters, I will not change that stance just because the Stoke team manager tells me too, neither because of his off track problems, whatever they may be. It is good that we see team managers here, however just because they post on the forum, it doesn't mean we should all take a "he's a team manager lets brown nose him" approach. I feel like I have gone on a lot on this thread, however I used to have a lot of respect for Malcolm Vasey, due to the fact that he came here and told the fans what was going on, as well as what he has done within the sport. That respect, however has gone out the window over the last day. Nice to see we are getting back on track Abbott, as you wsay, it will be interesting to see how Stoke build once Lubos' gains his new average. -

I'm assuming we will use Tom Stokes in place of Marc whilst R/R for Mason will come into play again. However we could use a guest, if, by a minor miracle we do book a guest I would like to see Jon Armstrong, Karl Mason would have been my first choice however he is riding at Weymouth for Bournemouth the same evening. I think we will see a big hornets win tbh, a safe meeting will be nice of course. -

Personal abuse is name calling and derogatory remarks about someone, not commenting on a post, that is perfectly fine, just a note Malcolm, I am such a bad person and personal abuser, yet my posts have not been edited due to personal abuse, why? Because I am playing by the rules. Posts made by many others here have highlighted the arrogance shown in your postings, yet you can level that accusation at other users unflinchingly. Apologies to those who were commenting on the actual topic here, as I was myself, it seems yet another thread has been lowered into the realms of personal abuse, this time by the team in question's own team manager! -

Did they give you the thesaurus free with membership to the moral high ground? You'd make a good politician Malcolm, you are great at dodging questions. My simple question to you was are you or are you not the man who puts the team together at Stoke? Simple enough question which you have managed to esculate with pompous jibes at real speedway fans who work their a***s off all week, every week to watch their speedway side and have every right to post what they want to say, not what you want to hear on this forum. May I remind you that you are an ambassador of Stoke speedway and the way you have conducted yourself on this thread is arrogant, bordering abusive and down right rude. I'm guessing that is how you want fans to see Stoke speedway? -

I attack posts, not posters, whilst my views on riders are based solely on their riding, not personal lives, a spade is a spade in my book and if a rider, team manger or even promoter struggle to understand that then they shouldn't be on the forum, criticism from fans happens in all sports, not just speedway and it is up to those involved to deal with it. If you don't like it then the forum is the wrong place to be. I'm not breaking any rules. It's funny how I apparently attack other human beings, yet it is perfectly acceptable for you to make derogatory remarks about myself and other posters? -

Sorry I was supposed to type appeal, however my phones predictive typing assumed I was writing approval :s I'm sure Scunthorpe will appeal as this could effect the outcome of the league title. Although I am a Rye fan, Tyson was ineligible so the right thing should be done in the interest of the sport. -

I believe only the Rye press release has been released and generally Rye's press releases are quite sketchy. If this is subject to a Scunthorpe approval, we could be waiting a long time, remember the Ipswich v Swindon saga a year or so back regarding Joel parsons riding, as far as I recall that situation was never resolved even though it happened early in the season! -

Inflexible? Arrogance? I have my own opinion and if I believe in that then I will not change it just to please others, too many people are sheep here. Of course, yet again you are not acknowledging the whole post I have made, I'll put it below for clarity, the bit in bold is the important part... I'll make this clear Malcolm, your position of team manager does not place you on a higher ground than any other poster on this forum, neither does it factor into what I say to you in my posts, be it good or bad, the forum is for debate, unfortunately recently this has descended into personal abuse from most posters here, whilst others are just yes men to those who have any kind of connection to the sport than being a supporter. I tell things how I see them and that won't change for anyone or anything. -

I understand the situation, I was present at the meeting. The problem here is the arguments will just bounce backwards and forwards, I have no issue with the discussion, just the level of personal abuse which has seemingly become the norm on this forum recently. Considering the amount of posts made by members here in recent times on a range of subjects which could improve British speedway, none of which have come to fruition, I doubt this thread will be taken in to consideration at any form of enquiry on the meeting unfortunately. -

Malcolm you have not read my post correctly, it was not a dig at you and Dave Tattum does have the final say on team affairs as promoter, am I right? It's funny how you are polite to everyone, however recently I sent you a pm to ask you a few questions regarding the National League, something on which I feel you are the best authority, yet I did not even recieved a courtious reply... You may well be Stoke team manager, however I regard you as another poster here, that does not change my opinion of you as a team manager/promoter, but I will not brown nose you like some other members on here do to yourself and others who are involved with clubs. As for meeting you face to face I have no problem with that, I am passionate about the sport and to discuss it with someone just as passionate would be a pleasure. I state things as they are, I don't think Lubos Tomicek is a good signing and I am perfectly within my rights to say that. It does not mean I have a negative attitude or a problem with lubos and Stoke, in fact ihighly rated the Potters this season before your misfortunes, which have been a shame as I do like the club and you deserve to do well. Maybe my respect has been misplaced. -

I see yet another thread on this forum (this board in particular recently) has descended into abuse and borderline racism, what a fine way to show support for the riders and to keep people reading the forum. The fall out from this incident is simple. Rye have been told Tyson cannot race anymore although we can keep the points he has scored for now, thats as far as it should go. If the points are deducted in the long run fine, but until then this thread should be put to bed, rather than all the abuse which is just going round in a vicious circle with no sign of an end. -

It's likely Jason will miss the rest of this campaign, so I guess you mean 2011 then Rob? Dave Tattum puts the team together too, he is the promoter, Malcolm is just team manager, whilst i'm sure he does have a say, Tattum is the man with the chequebook. -

We are nearly half way through July, it is highly unlikely another 9 point rider is going to appear out of the blue in the next two weeks. Pot called the kettle black.
