  1. Ridiculous post completely 1.) The track was Peterborough, not Kings Lynn. 2.) GB had no home advantage, the GB riders don't race for Peterborough every week. 3.) Oh and hang on, perhaps he was asked because his team's manager is also in charge of the national team. PS: You only need to use 1 piece of punctuation, three question/exclamation marks don't make the point important.
  2. Would be good for sure, but a cautionary note, once you have subscribed to Setanta, they are a bugger to cancel. I had a free month's viewing on a freeview box which you had to claim once you had cancelled your subscription, which I did, got my months free viewing then they started to take money again, so I have had to cancel the direct Debit and have a logn converation with a man from Setanta about whether i meant to cancel or to quote him, was it "an error of judgement" anyway rant over, but beware
  3. Any in Britain which has hosted speedway but now shut down that i haven't been too, with special mention to Wembley, Trelawny, New Cross, Hackney and Hyde Road i'd say.
  4. How about a World Cup every four years. 1.) Adds Prestige to the event. 2.) Could be run in one nation over two weeks. Qualifiers take place in the three non World Cup years and are done 1 via location and 2 via seeding, very much like the football world cup. Format would take some adjusting but it could work.
  5. wuld be a good competition even if it had to be that only the top 2 divisions were involved it would still create a lot of revenue and would be a great spectacle.
  6. This could possibly be solved by riders who double up ride for their lower division team and their spots in the higher division team go to riders who have been frozen out in the winter, thus giving frozen out riders a chance to still have some competitive racing
  7. But because of the money the fixture would generate it wouldnt matter as it would help with financial stability still like i say it would need more in depth planning but there must be a way of doing it and making it fair.
  8. Why not? Would be a great draw for any conference league team even if they were going to get beaten, the money coming in from the amount of fans who would go to watch would help the clubs no end, plus fans would get a chance to visit a track they would otherwise not go to.
  9. How about: All teams in from the start. No EL riders over a 7.5 average. EL Riders over a 7.5 average replaced by CL grade 1/2's If 2 teams from different leagues: one leg at lower league teams track. If 2 teams from same league: one leg at each track Final to be raced at a neutral Venue not in the league of either final competitiors and in between the two tracks geographically. would have flaws but that could be a good basis of such competition and if planned in more detail it could come to something.
  10. Yeah Brighton counts you may remember Redcar trying to run a meeting last December, they had to say it was Grasstrack and have 5 riders a race as otherwise they wouldnt have been able to run it. In the end it was rained off though.

  18. he can object but cannot really stop a track going ahead
