  1. Breaking my Bydgoszcz cherry this year. Can't wait!!!! :D
  2. Why put Scotty in 2 consecutive heats after he had just had an engine failure? Surely it woud have been better to give him time to work on his bikes?
  3. planning to go back for the midget this time sb?
  4. Nicki has been by far the best rider this season so deserves all the credit he gets. Well done Nicki On a side noth though it was interesting to hear him say in his interview that "he's not a very good defender and more of a hunter" Will be interesting to see how good a defender he can become over the winter in order to defend his title
  5. I did think that myself, but didnt want to get too carried away, as with the track being unknown then anything could happen really!
  6. Excellent performance from Scotty on Saturday. I'm suprised all the talk has been of whether he can hold on to 8th or not though as I can see him getting above Bomber into 7th place, and with a bit of luck perhaps even sneaking ahead of Greg in 6th Go on Scotty, Make us proud!
  7. Plus Smoli was Germany's star in the World cup last year
  8. Would loved to have gone, but am now going to England V Estonia at Wembley on the same day. WIll either have to Sky+ the G.P or find somewhere near the stadium that will show the G.P after the game
  9. Cant see anyone but Gollob winning around Bydgoszcz! Only disappointment is that he's been riding well lately so the Bookie's have cut his odds dramatically, so each way beetting is going to be the best way to win money. Scotty at 16's is a good shout, the last few meetings has seen him get better as the night goes on, and hopefully he can get on the podium this weekend
  10. Suprised by the lack of activity on this thread considering the G.P is only a few days away.
  11. The majority of the meeting that is correct, but everyone said what a great race heat 15 was, Two top riders giving everything. The sort of thing I'd like to see more of!
  12. Don't understand the whole "arrogant" angle. Scotty always seems very down to earth, and always has time for the fans, espeically the youngsters. Just last year my little nephew strolled up to Scoptty and asked him to watch him do Cartwheels. Scotty Duly obliged and was clapping him. I know it certainly made my nephews day and showed Scotty to be a down-to-earth pretty decent guy in my opinion
  13. Don't think he'd be on much at Liverpool.... He signed for Real Madrid last month!
  14. In my opinion thats a good draw for scott, sure the first race is very tough, but the rest of the heats are all winnable
  15. and when he does get in the top 8 it will no doubt be down to the fact Hampel was injured accoriding to some people. Anyway this thread shouldn't be about Scotty, lets hope AJ and JArek both recover quickly!
  16. Wonder if Hampel will be subjected to the "beggar treatment" if he is seeded next year? I hope Hampel is seeded next year, he's eaily one of the best 16 in the world and the G.P's would be poorer without him in my opinion
  17. If you get the really cheapd economy toilet roll (the stuff that chafes like mad) it should work, especially if we get as close to the track as laat year. nothing couldn't have made it!
  18. I think everyone here could do with another break from you too
  19. you say it like you've not been away for years Sandie!
  20. Only to days until I board hte big bird and make my way over to the Czech Republic now. Can't wait, A Scotty, Bomber 1-2 would just about to the weekend off nicely!
  21. Peter Oakes would be my choice (as long as he didnt quit the bees to do the job). Done a great job at Coventry and with him being involved in the youth system he would be a good man for the job and help integrate the up and coming youngsters into the team
  22. Well that's the biggest farce of a competition over for this year. No one except the Poles were going to win in Poland. As Iris says, you do have to question how they improved so dramatically over just 2 days. The good thing to come out of it was I had money on them to win
  23. As Jenn said, there's Rocky O Reilly's and Three Lions just off wenceslas Square, and there is also a bar called Jagr's, on Wenceslas Square, which was probably the best of the 3 for food and value for money
