Whenever there is an event held at the Millennium Stadium, whether its sport or a concert, all the hotels in Cardiff increase their prices accordingly. The first year they probably didn't do it because speedway was relatively new to the area and the hotels probably didn't realise how many people would be attending. If you book a hotel in Cardiff for a weekend when there is no event being held at the Millennium Stadium the price is reasonable.
