  1. Back to the old Olsen type rubbish slick tracks. Oh Dear!!
  2. If my memory serves me right this is the second time that a tactical error by Crump and the Aussie management has cost them the World Title. Didn't Crump do a similar thing at Reading about 4 years ago when I think he needed a couple of points in the final race to clinch the title, was holding that position easily but went for a win and either fell of got himself excluded, thus losing the match.
  3. Our group of 6 actually went to Lezno and really enjoyed an excellent meeting. Sad that there were so few Brits there because the place and the atmosphere was great. I really don't think that the TV coverage shows Speedway to its best, and to go there has the great positive that you don't have to listen tho the rubbish of Millard.
  4. Thinking of going to Leszno as a change from Bydgoszcz. Planning to stay in Poznan. Anybody any ideas on reasonably priced Hotels etc as the ones I have seen are either booked up or horrendously expensive. Want to be not too far out of town.
  5. I went to the GP at Wroclaw a couple of years ago. Great venue, lovely City with plenty of eating places and drinking holes. Close proximity to the riders bike preparations but actual racing was disasppointing. Not much passing.
  6. I don't know if toutmaster was the same as me Rico but I got in early with tickets and had an acknowledgement in Polish to take to the Bank. Neither I nor they picked up the requirement to accept all charges. In fairness after some wrangling they agreed to send the balance free of their charge. I did however insist that they ticked the box to accept all charges just in case my 40zl was "pinched" by the bank on the way through and I ended up with a nil remittance. Those booking later had the advantage of an acknowledgement that was in English and clearly showed the need to accept all charges.
  7. Im not happy!! Just had notification in response to my email chaser for confirmation of 6 tickets for which I paid 720zl plus £25 charges that the receiving bank has only passed on 680zl and that I must forward a further 40zl to cover additional costs before they will release ticket confirmation. What sort of rip off is this !!!
  8. I know its more costly for the riders but I would go back to the 24 rider format. In the current format several riders can have an off night and some heats are therefore far from competetive. The old format to a degree ensured that most of the best riders on the night go through and always ensured hard competetive racing in the knockout stage. The current format is becoming a little predictable and can be boring at times,
  9. I got the same this morning Sandie. Also in the message it said further instructions would be given by email on receipt of funds. Just have to sit tight and wait.
  10. I paid on Friday via HSBC but have not yet received any confirmation of booking. Apart from Gary has anyone else had confirmation from Poland..
  11. Here's hoping. We have done our best. The Cat's gone on holiday and left it up to me!
  12. My Bank told me it would be £9.00 for arrival after 5 days or £25.00 for a period inside the 3 days required. rather pleased that I was booking 6 tickets as we can split the cost. We have booked in Sector D Sandie. where are you?
  13. Thanks Rico. seem to have got it to work for Sector D. Surprised how many seats have already been booked.
  14. Has anyone actually managed to book any seats yet. I seem to have achieved log on but still get error when attempting to go any further, If I go for Sector E am I likely to be covered in shale for much of the meeting if the seats allocated are at the front.
  15. When I get on to the Ticket Sales page that highlights the area of the track for booking I get an error message in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Are others getting this problem,
  16. Not allowing Darren to come unless he confesses to having a Taxi back to the hotel from the Savoy last year. No way did he walk back.
  17. I'll save you a place on the dance floor! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can I come to the Savoy again . Enjoyed it last year. But those Vodka's Oh dear.
  18. WIth Wembley hosting Motor Racing over the past weekend I see no reason why it should not be the venue for a European GP. Cost may be a factor ar Motor racing sponsors seem to have bottomless pockets. I would not want to move the British Grand Prix from Cardiff as it is also a great venue but to go to Wembley again would be a grand spectacle.
  19. Agreed it was not the best racing track at Brandon this year, however does everyone realize that only 4 or miles away the Heavens opened and had that happenened over Coventry Stadium the match could not have continued have it been heavily laid in shale. Whether it was Olsen infuence or not it was shrewd not to make it too deep and to ensure that the meeting could complete without many people being sent home some long distances following a rainoff.
