  1. In any riders defence they can get caught out in their first ride so getting the home average around Leicester that he did says something for Bomber. I remember one so called hero at Glasgow declining to ride at No1 so he had a couple of heats to watch and work out lines, set-ups etc. No what I would have expected from a captain.
  2. Only question about his loyalty is when it comes to CL teams. When did he last do two consecutive seasons with the same team?
  3. From what I've read the decision to move to The Panthers wasn't of Bomber's making. Stewart Dickson wanted to make changes at Leicester with Batch being moved out and Craig Cook and Richie Worrall coming in now with Bomber having to be released to fit the averages. Since Richie was a Panther's rider I assume Leicester approached Peterborough first and Bomber being offered in exchange. That sounds like a "well go to Peterborough or your teamless" proposition for Bomber and going by his own post the other day one he wasn't particularly pleased about. But until the full timeline of events is made known by whichever party I think it's safe to say the choice was not Bomber's.
  4. Perhaps had it been his decision but until we know the timeline of events the jury is out of say.
  5. Problem with BSPA is they do not have a independent administrator and for years the majority of high heid yins have only been interested in what benefits their own team or division (and pockets). The CL have had the majority of teams for years yet still seem to have little say in matters especially TV coverage. The sport needs a totally independent ruling admin and an amalgamation of PL and CL IF it is to survive. And in all honesty do you think Phil Morris going to bite the hand that feeds him?
  6. Think that's says everything about him when he was willing to waste hospital and medics' time and resources just to delay a meeting to give a rider who had been delayed more time to get to the track
  7. I doubt Bomber will have anything to say about Glasgow. I think it will most likely be about the time-line of events between Leicester and Peterborough and how much had been agreed before Bomber was informed. Isn't it interesting that Stewart Dickson now has Lawson, Cook and Worrall together again in the same team?
  8. The thing I haven't seen or read anything about is did Panthers release Ritchie first or did Lions make an approach for him with a swap for Bomber in mind? I think there is more to this than is being made public at the moment and perhaps Bomber is going to spill the beans on some underhanded dealings?
  9. Now that would make for some interesting reading
  10. Not if you watch the video of him against Bewley and Blodorn at Belle Vue he's not https://fb.watch/mgAY57w0mc/
  11. Sounds like he is about to let rip regarding the situation too. Can't help but feel he's been treated shabbily by Leicester. Hope he goes on and does the businesses for Peterborough
  12. Na only 3bteams as one will probably try to sneak Lambert in
  13. Just as well it wasn't Oxford v Glasgow or it would have taken even longer to find a free Wed date for Glasgow's Danes lol
  14. Surely Friday nights reason for abandoning was exceptional and out with the control of the Promotion? As for this season's fixtures when you consider there were massive gaps in evey teams fixtures without weather disruption (Plymouth haven't had a home fixture since mid June) joke is the only apt description.
  15. Aye riders knew how to adjust their handlebars, tyre pressures and wheelbase length back then to adjust to the conditions and kept an old boiler suit or pyjamas in their kitbag
  16. Just shows what a farce the season has been when just about every team (in both divisions) had spells of several weeks without fixtures. When you consider Plymouth have not had a home meeting since 20th June you have to wonder if they will be able to complete their season both time wise and with the financial burden double headers etc could bring? Sooner we go back to one big league with teams able to race on their chosen race night and have weekly meeting the sooner British Speedway may recover.
  17. But a CL standard reserve's (NDL h/l) pace should surely be more than a single point at NDL level?
  18. I've known Stewart a long time and he is one of the best in the business and the number of errors he has made can be counted on one hand. However, with all respect to Batch, I felt that was a knee jerk reaction in response to the Morris situation moreso at Leicester than Birmingham. Can only wish all the riders involved success in the months to come.
  19. Apart from the toss I don't think captains have the same time to help and/or motivate team mates during meetings these days so the position maybe doesn't carry the prestige it once did. But then again that can be said of a few things in speedway such as The BLRC
  20. Think that be two moves Stewart Dickson may regret. Everyone knows what Bomber is capable of around the showground so that can only be seen as a positive move.
  21. Sadly the 6 and 7 berths have been a problem for a few years as the management seem to go with what they perceive as a strong 1 to 5. IMO your reserves should be capable of beating their opposite number and even occasionally getting the better of visiting s/s. Equally you'd hope your reserves pick up points away from home too as Championships are generally won by picking up points on away days. Poole and Oxford seem to be setting the standard as their away results have shown
  22. I recall year ago when the dogs were still racing at Armadale there was various large pieces of equipment, possibly the starting traps, within the 'no-man's land' area at what is now the 4th bend. Everything within that area including lighting stantions ALWAYS had padding on them. Just how much protection a few inches of foam would offer against a speedway bike I don't know but I think it wouldn't be much. If H&S decrees all fitting around a track such as fence supports, lighting supports etc have to be dug and concreted in deeper and reinforced then you have to ask if they would be come just as dangerous if there was no give to them? But the important matter for now is the health thing is the health, both physically and mentally of all the parties involved. And again may I express gratitude and appreciation to all the medical staff in attendance last night.
  23. If there is to be , as has been suggested, a police investigation there may be a freeze on reporting. I'm sure any news will be released when appropriate.
