Surely there is a retirement or care home with a large back garden big enough for a track for Dad's Army? Def need the Panthers to continue though so hopefully somewhere will be found.

As a SCB licenced official he would be entitled to access to any part of the stadium or track with the exception of perhaps cossing the pitch if it deemed an off limits area requested by the football team. -

If required I'd d take Sedgy as a guest as he's done pretty well around Ashfield this season. -
I suggested a few weeks ago that guest appearances should be limited to one appearance for each team and once at each track. Too sensible for BSPA to try lol
-
The thing is will BSPA approve multiple changes when it is putting riders out o No doubt some employment law expert would find irregularities in any such process.
-
Is that rhyming slang?
-
Isn't the old saying "give the customers what they want and they'll keep coming back"? Sadly for the last few decades BSPA and SCB seem to have 8gnored 6heir paying customers' requirement and, with the exception of a handful of Promorions, have diluted what we lived as speedway to individual business interests that if the moans we hear are genuine, run at a loss season after season. It may be too late to smell the coffee for some and before long we won't be able to smell Castrol R either
-
Paul Starke should be on his and a few others' wanted list
-
And the BSPA no doubt insisted Newcastle paid out to get the track sorted about a month ago which probably had an adverse affect on The Diamonds' finances. Time for major changes in the sports ruling body
-
When you consider if Glasgow moved up their "local" derby would be Belle Vue it makes no sense to move up when you have the rivalries with Edinburgh less than 40 minutes away and Berwick in under 2hrs. Although we don't meet half as much as we used to in Mickey Mouse friendly cup challenges Edinburgh and Glasgow need each other though both running on the same night must have affected the gates.
-
So Diamonds are not Celina Leibmann's best friend then?
-
There's more than a few tracks got 18 holes and their share of sand
-
Let's hope Marcin returns to Ashfield next season
-
Riding in GP2 or U21 World Championship must be proof he is of a certain standard
-
Got to wonder if Dan changing teams and getting the experience of riding different styles of track (Armadale, Ashfield and Derwent Park) paid dividends for him? In saying that his attitude on and off track was certainly more professional and I'm afraid my abiding memory of Bickley will always be the video of him appearing to give an arrogant finger.
-
Oh there are but would the Diamonds be able to pay what they probably want or would they want to come to race with a struggling team? Sadly riding in the UK does not carry the prestige it once did.
-
Polishing his bike I assume. OK I'm not the guy's greatest admirer but getting dumped by yet another CL team after 1 meeting just makes his CV look even worse now.
-
Yes but I didn't want to public name (or shame) our rivals track. The Olympic Park toilets did make a difference though
-
Ha when you said Leon I immediately thought of a young Dane who was signed by The Tigers but the meetings he was due to debut at Hull (cancelled because equipment had been removed and led to Hull's closure) and then next meetings were rained off. His father then decided the UK was not for him as he, allegedly, didn't fancy the standard of facilities or tracks. He may were well have a World Champion by now if he learned a bit of Ashfield track craft lol
-
In fairness to him he has has some good seasons at Sheffield, Workington and Edinburgh but I was quite relieved that he didn't do a second season at Glasgow
-
Trying to recall if Sheffield were complimentary about Josh Bates when they replaced/fired/dumped/ confidence boosted (delete as appropriate) him?
-
Think Diamonds fans are looking for something that isn't there with Paul. He is genuinely out injured as he isn't riding for Ipswich either so he isn't earning Easy to forget he suffered two badly broken wrists just two seasons ago which have obviously been weakened.
-
In all fairness to Kyle we all know the lad has the talent but sadly his mind thought has never been the same since he lost his grandfather, who was such a big influence and part of his set up, a few years ago. Maybe having another mentor would help him?
-
It's interesting Berwick publicly thank Glasgow in obtaining a visa for the young Dane. I'd like to think that is because the Bandits spotted him first and Glasgow are being honourable because there will be a few Tigers' fans like myself wondering if we've let a good rider slip our grasp when arguably we could be in need of changes ourself?

Wearing a helmet on parade is down to H&S. If you watch carefully after a false start riders return to the pit gates not so much for refueling but more so for their mechanics to bring out the fans to cool the clutch. I'd suggest many riders don't do a lap of honour these days because it's another lap of expense and wear and tear on the machinery. In theory another lap adds 20% to the race
