I think there were several hints on the Monarchs' Facebook page I picked up on 1 He was not featured as were previous winners in the preceeding days. 2 There were only 15 riders in the photograph of participants in a Sat morning post. 3 A later photograph included Craig but it was a b&w photo while all other riders photographs were in colour. Sorry can't agree when over 90% of the riders also race in the so called lower league. Look at Peterborough last season when their top averaged rider (MPT) was only 4th in the averages at his CL team Redcar. The whole thing is a joke and and I'm afraid there is nothing but snobbery involved if any PL fan claims their league is better.

I don't think Glasgow would have any problems attracting riders if they did move up. For a start Anders Thomson is a Tigers' asset and several overseas riders who have rode at Ashfield have stated their liking for the track and facilities. I think the biggest obstacle would be the race night(s). Glasgow fans are set in their ways with traditional Friday evenings and, personally, I can't see week nights having the same attraction for families for several months of the season. Think there are some internal issues to be sorted first though.
