Maybe Glasgow have unearthed another Scandinavian talent along the lines of Anders Thomson or the one that actually never turned a wheel for us, Leon Masden?
-
Wouldn't it be nice if Promotions actually treated the fans with some respect and named the whole team at once rather than treating us like children and teasing us with one name at a time?
-
Harris could be useful in bringing on Ben especially as they have ridden together at Peterborough. I have to say I'm more concerned about the tail end of the team given that in the past it seemed a lot of young riders were unwilling to travel to Glasgow. To that effect Ace Pjiper would be worth a punt but I'm sure Edinburgh and Berwick will have him in mind too.

He also said "there is no such thing as bad weather - just inappropriate clothing!" That makes me think of Bert Harkins wear his pyjamas over his leathers one dreich (there's a good Scottish word for you) night.

They were going to do a TV series CSI Cornwall until they realised DNA samples would be impossible to work with. -

Actually makes you wonder why they didn't just go to 6 man teams or 8 man teams with two reserves with no averages. Give the reserves 4 heats against the opposition reserves with a start from each gate position. -
Apart from the announcement he won't be back?
-
Great idea - Ace rides in the team and Theo with all his experience manages the team.
-
Yeah seem to recall a previous father and son combo didn't go to well for The Tigers. Senior always seemed distracted and concerned by what and how Junior was doing when out on track.
-
PL vs CL? Don't think there is much of a choice there for Mr Dickson is there? Actually I just hope he regains his health and enjoys his life and speedway wherever it may be.
-
And then get someone who can manage and bring out the best in them
-
The fact that the CL has now been cut to half the fixtures ie 1 home and 1 away against the other teams means Ben's potential earnings would have halved so he'll probably do both PL an CL, base himself in the UK and drop Sweden. At least I hope that's what he will do and bearing in mind a verbal agreement is legally binding in Scots Law he could find himself in trouble if he dropped Glasgow.

Hans would be a brilliant and clever signing for Glasgow. Ben Basso would benefit from having an experienced countryman beside him. Downside may be Wed clashes with Danish league but with it now only meeting each team once that would only be 3 fixtures plus any possible cup meetings -

And I thought the good folk of Cornwall, being Celts, were sensible? -
I'd have said Marmite (or perhaps Vegimite) Either loved or hated

He must have about 50 guest appearances to make up to address the balance too -

As a completely impartial outside I have to ask, will Ben Barker be cleared to ride next season? Maybe I have missed it but there seems to have been little said from any official BSPA/SCB source on the situation. -
A purple helmet colour was never an option (if you know the actual reasoning behind the green helmet colour)
-
I think Basso has to calm down a little and become a consistent rider rather than the spectacular 'dive round the boards and clipping the fence' type. Yes is looks good but it also drops points and can lead to falls and injuries which is the last thing a league chasing team needs. I don't think he is quite a No1 yet but bringing in an experienced, steading influence could help him reach that status by the end of the season. Perhaps his fellow countryman Hans Anderson would be worth a shout?

That statement about "being behind in the Scottish Highlands" is racist and if you don't have the sense and decency to realise it you don't belong in this forum. I've asked Admin to look at your comments and take appropriate action. -
Silly me I completely forgot that said they were moving up.

Can't see Poole, Leicester or Edinburgh (if the hopefully get a reprieve) being able to hold on to their heat leaders next season. Ritchie Worral is reportedly going from Lions to Plymouth and I expect there will be a few changes elsewhere. Shame successful teams have to be split up. Still think catch up should be the aim for weaker teams rather than diluting successful teams.
