Northern Junior League 2024
cinderfella replied to edmon's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Still can't believe there is an experienced rider twice the age of some of his opponents riding in a 'development league' and getting involved with incidents. -

Sorry I meant Championship. I forget sometimes they changed the Premier League to the Championship because they couldn't really claim to have an 'Elite' league. -

Can't believe Dayle Wood is being allowed to race at this level considering he has Premier and NDL experience. IMO he has been a little wild 8n the past and if he continues in that vein he could unsettle the younger lads who do belong at this level. -
Edinburgh Monarchs Academy 2024

Perhaps teams, other than Poole, were concerned about his fitness, both physically and mentally, after his horrendous crash last season? Time will tell. -

Got to wonder how many teams would have signed different riders if they had another 0.25 to play with? -

Bit ironic that there is an agreement to increase the team building averages by 0.25 to allow a young British rider the chance to ride this year when there is an Australian in the team. 8f we want to encourage young Brits do we need overseas riders taking places in the NDL? -
I tend to agree but can you imagine the benefits young lads would gain from having him around. Maybe that's what speedway needs - real mentors helping youngsters

Well if anyone does know the rule or regulation book it's Stewart Dickson so the Berwick Promotion have pulled an ace out hat there. Sadly I hoped Dixie may have come back to Glasgow so I just hope we don't have anothet season of The Photo Bomber at the helm.
-
So has the league set up been doctored sorry set up before the Nov AGM? Can't see how the PL csn run with only 5 teams unless it's already been agreed on some CL teams moving up. And with rumours of 2 CL under threat where would that leave the CL? Of course if Dixie says his job at Leicester isn't a problem then maybe Berwick are actually dropping down to NDL standard. Time fans were treated with more respect and told what was actually happening with the sport.

Just read an article in which Angela Rippon says she failed a drugs test after she ate bread. The bread was topped with poppy seeds and you know what you get from poppy seeds. Anyone know a good lawyer? -
It does say Kemp is replacing Claus as he is still struggling with a knee injury. But yes totally agree this bringing in riders at the business end of the season is all wrong when they chose not to ride here the rest of the season. At least Vadim rode at Peterborough we'll before 5he play-off and joining Glasgow.
-
Doubt Claus is fit as Sheffield have already named Drew Kemp as a replacement for Mondays match with Wolves.
-
And was it not Tony who came up with the idea of the dirt deflectors?
-
Or Dayle Wouldn'y
-
That would be milking it
-
Of course the full facts were never made public (to my knowledge) but I think that would rule out Connor Bailey returning.
-
Indeed. There have been a few good ones.
-
And never have there been two such totally dedicated riders. All their spare cash was spent on spares for their bikes rather than booze and the likes. Two of the best recommendations Jimmy Mac made.
-
Oh I didn't just didn't want to show too much Glasgow bias. Wonder is Frazer Bowes will ever wear the red & white stripes?
-
He isn't the first son to have failed. Kym Mauger, Tony Briggs, Aiden and Chris Collins come to mind. George Stancl and the late Lee Richardson were two exceptions that come to mind.
