  1. Well it is a bit different for stock cars i would suggest. I spent 13 hours at the track today, not preparing the track i might add, and i can tell you, those guys worked their nuts off all day and were still there when i left at 11pm working on it. I think your insults are uncalled for.
  2. Good on you, somebody with common sense does exist on here. Somebody on another thread is having a right old go at the track staff, personal insults and everything.
  3. I expect your man at Lynn spent all day doing the track ? The Reading guys had 3 and a half hours to pepare. This included having to clean all the air fences etc. Track wasnt good but it certainly wasnt the fault of the staff !
  4. But was there a two practice in the afternoon at Lynn ?
  5. There are major roadworks on the A33 relief road, half a mile past the Stadium. It is causing tailbacks as far as Smallmead. Please allow a bit of extra time to get into the car park. I would advise that you use the Madejski Stadium car park and if you turn left at the first roundabout just as you approach the retail park from the M4, you should avoid the tailbacks. This will take you to the Madejski car park. It is a five or so minute walk to the Stadium.
  6. Macd`s, burger king and kfc all within 5 min walk. Also the Madejski stadium car park is being used for parking, again a 5 min walk. I would suggest parking in there anyway even if you are early, its much quicker to get in and out of. Local paper says 3000 capacity, if 7000 turn up it could be fun. Whatever happens it will be packed and a great atmosphere. Track is good, passing inside and out, and certainly one of the more neutral tracks in the league.
  7. Hmmmm, i wonder if he pushed them out of the way !
  8. I`m biased i suppose but to me the main ingredients to a big event like this are: a good racing track: when properly prepared, smallmead is a very good racing track. Spectator Spectator facilities: Not A1 at Reading but with a little investment it would be fine. Viewing at Reading is excellant, pretty high banking on the terrace means a good view for all. The back straight stand would not take much to knock down and the straight re-opened. Accessability: 2 mins from junction 11 of the m4, fantastic. The concerns over the air fence is irrelevant, BSI must own there own fence, where do you think the cardiff one comes from ? The pit area is large enough to handle it, albeit with a few Gazeebo`s stuck up. It wont happen anyway, just dreaming, but ihope it`s not at swindon ! rubbish track and poor veiwing. Peterborough, Poor racing surface. Poole, too far south to travel for any northern fans. Coventry, used to be good but not now the track has changed. Oxford, track too small, poor racing.
